What a sad loss & tragedy for the music world,...just heard yesterday morning that the great guitar guru Pete Huttlinger died 3 days ago(15th) from a brain hemmorage/stroke,...he overcame a 2010 stroke and then heart failure(installed heart pump!) and battled back to play again so brilliantly. God's speed Pete,...taken from us waaay tooo soon! You and John Denver are no doubt playing beautiful music again in a better place,....you will be sooo missed!

I first saw Pete at the Wizards of Guitar at Cuyahoga Community College back in 1999 and I was blessed to have Pete as an instructor at the Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch back in 2005...it was a most humbling experience. I love Pete's little smile at the end which says "That was good." Pete...you are sorely missed...

Thanks Pete for all you've done for all of us students of the guitar. I learned three of your arrangements as best as I can and still enjoy playing them. Josie, Eagles Wings and Tis So Sweet in DADGAD. Thanks so much for sharing these with Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine. Great to see that you are back ! You are an overcomer.

I've had the tab since it was published in Fingerstyle Guitar magazine no. 42 in 2001 - only just thought to see if anyone had a video of it - dumfounded to find Pete himself showing us how it's done! RIP Pete!

+Tony Robinson Master player but also a master teacher. I loved his various video courses which took their time in explaining and not trying to impress the viewer.

This is truly wonderful, Pete. What an inspiring story. You are an incredible artist and I am so happy that you made it back and are sharing your music once again with us. A few years ago, before I started my own RUclips channel, I heard you play Darcy's Guitar and I was determined to improve my playing and get back into music. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you all the best! Your fan,

Thanks Pete. Your story and your playing are truly inspirational. I have your John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot DVD's and appreciate you breaking that music down for us mere mortals.
You suggested you'd like some ideas for future videos. I have one that is really a very beautiful song although some may not find the vocals on the original to be their cup of tea. It would be interesting to hear your take on it. In any case, it's a song called "Julia" but isn't by the Beatles. It's by a 1970's midwest group called Pavlov's Dog.
If Julia is too out there then might I suggest "Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier" - another beautiful song.
In any case, please keep doing what you're doing and know there are many of us out here rooting for you.
    -Scott
