One of my all time favourite lines but seeing it from the front is brilliant. I ride this line a couple of times a year in sunshine and rain and never tire of the wonderful scenery. ! Thank you for sharing this great video.
And across the road at the end of the line is the site of the original Torpantau station and shortly after that is the 666 yard long Torpanau Tunnel, it' was the highest tunnel on the UK's standard gauge railway network and is 1,313 feet above sea level. Also still accessible even if most of the time flooded at the portals just about welly deep.
I would’ve thought this railway would’ve been extended through the tunnel by now. Once on the other side it’s a very easy open trackbed just waiting for reinstatement.
