Para mi: El mejor y Único Latino Americano JuanD FlorezPor qué has retirado tus fotos.👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️👏⭐️❤💋
PERFETTO!!!
I could listen to this song all day.
He deserved this Great applause, it's ok, my pleasure 🎵🎵🎵
Liste to Nicolai Gedda’s rendition. His is PERFETO!
He is the best in the present day. But Alfredo Kraus or Nicolai Gedda would send him to the ashes. Very nice versions are also given by Michael Spyres, Roberto Alagna, Cyrille Dubois ......
Amen. At least you have to give Florez credit for doing it in the original key, instead of transposing down like almost every tenor in the last 100 years has done (except Kraus).
I agree it isn't a good performance by Juan Diego Florez. His high notes are strained and there's no piano so much needed in this beautiful aria which apparently was heavy for him on that very evening in March 2013. You are right, Angel Parsifal! The ovation at the end is amazing. Why did he receive it? Probably because the melody is wonderful, because the audience was very kind and polite and thought they should have rewarded him for his effort, because he's simply loved, because he's extremely beautiful and nice and watching him sing is a fascinating experience - he's mesmerizing then - and because he has an incredibly beautiful voice... Because of all these, loving people forgave him faults and everybody who loves understands that very well... But, of course, JDF shouldn't repeat singing this aria in such a way and actually he hasn't sung it for three years now...
This is probably one of the most difficult arias for a tenor to sing. Bjorling, Kraus, Brownlee, Florez and many others do not resort to crooning in pure head voice to sing these very difficult high notes. There is a huge difference in the projecting quality in an opera house when using a seemingly falsetto head voice or a head/chest mix. (pure head voice is not falsetto, contrary to many so-called vocal instructors on RUclips). In consulting my vocal score, the text sung over this musical phrase is "Folle ivresse, doux reve." On the word "ivresse," sung over 4 notes, Bizet's markings have a crescendo on the first two syllables (3 notes) "i-vres.." and a pp (pianissimo) marking on the last syllable "se," a high B natural. An operatic pp must be heard in the back row of any theater. In a recital hall, one can be more free to go into a pure head voice to great effect. The orchestral writing for this aria is very light and gives the tenor plenty of choices as to the method of singing this aria. For instance, in the Bilbao, Spain, production in 2019, Javier Camarena uses his head/chest mix for much of the aria and uses pure head voice only sparingly. A beautiful performance. Check it out. In Matthew Polenzani's Met broadcast performance, he uses the pure head voice for all the higher notes. Since the Met amplifies their singers, and have done for several years, the sky's the limit on interpretation. It's very pretty, but hardly operatic.
I think he did it very well, the high Notes are Perfect and Brillant, no critics, other Tenors sung in falset but Florez is delicate
Lol... I've never heard a recording of a tenor singing these high notes in falsetto. I'm not really sure you know what falsetto is.
The composer has marked the two high Bs "p>pp" - meaning start quiet and get even quieter.
@@monroemullinix5974 You are not right, I know any tenors which change this high notes in falsetto modus. I know the different between falsetto and Brest tone. I am good informed about high notes!!! 😡⛄️😡I hope you too.😡😡😡For example Villazon any years before at the MET 😡😡😡
@@dieterflorian865 Yes, I have a bachelor's degree in vocal performance and have taught voice for almost 20 years. I know what I'm talking about.
I just listened to Villazon, and that is the first tenor I have ever heard falsetto this note. Here, listen to how it's supposed to be done...

@@monroemullinix5974 I know the great tenor Kraus and I will tell you, he is the great idol of Juan Diego Florez 😡😡😡 he sung this aria wonderful too🎶🎶🎶
Tenors... using the same headshot from age 24 until death.
Unfortunately it's due to my lack of time. But you can find other examples of Ciofi in the duet, if you look here for videos from this performance.
Ángel Parsifal the Performance of las palmas with Ciofi is Great and an amazing Juan Diego Flórez, high Notes without Tremolo and Not in Falsetto modus, just wonderful
Thanks!! Unfortunately it is not complete :(
I'm quite disappointed with this: all the high notes are fortissimo when they should be sung delicately.
The voice of course is still superb but I thought JDF would sing this piece with more nuances.
Have you recorded Leila/Ciofi arias?
Thanks for uploading :)
Domingo have sung this aria also with high Tones in Brest Modus, there is a Recording from 1980 of him. But the high Register is Not so Perfect like JD Flórez 🎵🎵🎵 and also Alfredo Kraus the Idol of Juan Diego, to See in RUclips 🎵🎵🎵
I uploaded "Oh dieu Brahma", You can find it in my channel ;)
Zapatero a tú zapato.
I am really disappointed. I really like Flórez, but perhaps he was having a bad day. He is clearly yelling at the high notes. As Raphaël Pisano pointed out, they should be sung delicately. He is even going out of tune at some points. If you having a bad day like this, it would be better to skip the repetition of “Charmant souvenir” at the aria’s conclusion, in fact there's no repetition of this line in Bizet’s original score. One of the worst versions I ever listened. I would recommend Lawrence Brownlee version.
+Ozgur Nevres totally agree... he should listen to alain vanzo! Florez is a wonderful tenor, but this is really disappointing.. the high notes are terribly performed... only screaming !he should not do it that way, especially for a light tenor like him! even my dear Rolando Villazon who has a heavier voice than him is more delicate and in the right emotion singing this area.
+Eliot Camron Official I checked out your youtube page and listened La Bohème, it is great! The best cover version I ever listened. Congrats!
:D thank you very much ! I started to sing this popular songs before working more in the opera area, I'm publishing news records actually (will be available soon on youtube) if you wanna check it out. thanks again for compliments.
+Eliot Camron Official I subscribed to your channel :)
+Eliot Camron Official On my web page I listed some of the best editions the aria, maybe you want to check out :) andantemoderato.com/versions-je-crois-entendre-encore/ Alain Vanzo version is also included in the list, it is really great.

Sorry but this is terrible. Stick to bel canto, which you do wonderfully. BTW, don't do Duke of Mantua either.
Very nasal.
He is wobbling... annnnnd he is out of tune
