the meaning of spirit and soul is so vague in bleach because it shows body(tangible) and spirit(non-tangible) both as a tangible thing but it works out great. like in tybw, the royal gaurd cook hikifune can make food using her reishi and feed it to ichigo+renji to fill their reishi. it's like a mom with cooks food with high spirits and it turns out delicious so kids eat it and feel high spirited and perform better

Souls and humans aren't exactly that different on the physical level even in the original world they were all one and the same anyway Generally most differences are just composition and for hollows shapes but not all Living humans are made of Kishi Plus or fresh ghost are the middle ground haven't turned or "pass on" for there body to build up Reishi and solidify to become either souls or hollow "Passed on" souls even born souls or Soul Society people are no different to humans just have Reishi bodies but technically still ghost since they require Gigai in living world Most hollows used to be just human/soul so technically they're body parts like organs are just shifted for their shapes same applies for Adjuchas and Vastos and Arrancars evolve to be physically similar enough to Shinigami so yeah no different to humans apart from the holes and matter composition being Reishi Of course some hollows are just completely different like BTW dragons, the puppy, Gillians, Areniero and Ikomikidomoe Same for souls they literally have beasts like Kumamura and his race and probably more wacky stuff
