Going For A Walk In The Beginning Of Training

In the beginning of training, you’re not just going for a walk, you’re going to do some training! In this video I will take you through what it looks like to go for a walk with your dog in the beginning of training. What you’ll need to do before the walk, and what you’ll need to do during the walk. Whether your dog is super friendly and excited, or they are reactive and fearful, make sure you are structuring your walk like this.
* The dog we use in this video is very food, toy, and praise motivated. If you have a dog that doesn’t have a lot of drive, isn’t very motivated, then you’ll have to do some things different. However the core of first getting engagement, then moving around, still remains. *
