Lately I've taken to watching this to fall asleep, though usually for naps. There's just something so soothing about the two of you and the way you talk with one another. It's like laying down for bed as a kid and hearing your parents talking quietly in the other room, or something.
Omg these also make me fall asleep lmao sometimes i dont but a lot of the time i knock somewhere in the middle

Tyler's remarkable ability to do things 90% correctly the first time he tries something, despite having zero idea what he is supposed to do, never fails to amaze me. He could just accidentally do anything and it could change the world.

Congrats on the new kitten! I volunteer at a shelter and we actually recommend adopting kittens in pairs because they curb each other's crazy energy and therefore tend to have fewer weird behavioral issues. Just food for thought if you find he's not growing out of it and are able to have a second pet!
got recommended to do this by a cat boarder, got second cat, second cat bullies the first cat for the rest of his life. pls don’t get a second cat just bc the cat ppl tell you to. if your cat has behavioral issues… idk maybe???
bottom line, if your cat is happy already, don’t risk upsetting that environment with another one unless you really want another cat.

@@chloedelphina definitely if you can adopt a bonded pair, that works best. They'll be more comfortable with each other even if they argue. Some cats just aren't good with a second stranger cat, even if they're around the same ages.
@@chloedelphina You can fix that. Reintroduce the kitties to each other. The relationship will reset (cats don't work the same as dogs). Block their site and work on challenge line areas, like eating on the other side of the door. LOTS of people don't introduce properly, which takes a few weeks to do right. Lots of people think they have to deal with cats that don't get along, but it's not true. Jackson Galaxy has some great tutorials on the best way to do it. Cats are triggered by sight. If you just brought one home and let them meet each other right away, it's a total crapshoot if it happens to work out. Cats are scent oriented. It's important to become familiar with the other cats scent first and sight is absolute last.
Also it's not about cat people, it's a scientific fact that they do better with another animal in the home to play and socialize with. Domestic cats are colony animals, which is different than pack, but is not solitary The country I'm from has it as a law in shelters. All shelters insist that you either have another cat at home of youngish age if you get a kitten, or any age if you get a cat.
Yes, a cat can be fine by themselves, but it's the same as any quality of life thing. Humans can adjust to okay, but not great conditions too.

Eggman is truly the pinnacle of cat names. The egg-related names and puns are too good. Soft-boiled could be shortened to Soft-Boi, for example.
Hey saf and tay. i know you don't stream at the moment but i wanted to thank you. you started the channel when i had entered a care home after getting kicked out of my second foster parents. I didn't like joining things livr but id always join the second it ended and i'd watch well i cooked my food and then well i ate, sometimes having to replay it finding it just as entertaining both times. you helped me get into a routine. well at the care home i did everything at nightime simply because i was depressed my sleep was messed up and i hated the staff. so for that year i was there i decided to just avoid everyone. it was the only time i was able to eat. drink. do personal hygein ect. staff never bothered on checking on me they just assumed i was fine. at one point i just stopped funtioning. i didnt bother to leave my bed but ended up getting so dehydrated i stared to feel ill. well sat there questioning if i should do something about it or take it as a oppotunity to slowly.. yk. i got a notification for one of you streams so i decided to stick to my paln and just.. live? you streams actually made me feel okay and gave me the energy to survive. even if just for a hour or two. ive lived alone now for almost two years and started collage this september! my mental health is getting much much better and i have lots of close friends now. and im just thankful you guys started sreaming because i don't think i would've gotten here if you hadn't. i probably wouldve just laid there until i rotted away. but becaus eyou guys gave me energy to funtion i was ok, i got through it. and now im probably the happiest ive been since.. ever tbh. i've still got more healing to do but you guys really helped me. thank you so much for starting this channel. hope you stream again soon but next time i'll just be watching for fun :)

As someone who also recently got a kitten after loosing my 2 old men (16 &14), the change of energy is INSANE and she's a really laid back kitten.
She says as a Butters, she wants a Egg friend.
Tyler actually is the best hat seller! This is meant in the best of ways, so I hope it doesn't come across wrong. I remember in past videos y'all mentioning Tyler has a slightly bulbous head. I do as well (just have a big head lol), and most hats don't fit me because of that. But seeing that it fits Tyler actually made me want to get it 😊

Saf, I think the perfectionism that makes you a good video editor works against you for water marbling. I think you just gotta let it be what it’s gonna be and just do dozens of dips.

I believe they talked about it a bit on other streams and community tab. Seems like the streams were quite stressful for them and the dynamic of people commenting live on what and why they are doing wrong was throwing them off. I also imagine logistics of organizing a stream and the time it takes to do it weekly on top of their usual content must be taxing.
That's such a bummer! I realize chat is often a big element to streams but it doesn't have to be! I think it would be totally ok for them to not look at the chat at all and have someone else monitor it and occasionally shout out things from it. (Which looks like they did here? I'm at the beginning of this one so who knows)
Speaking of Tyler Williams being a basic name, I knew a Tyler Williams in school and I only remember him because we were taking our EOG’s/end of grade tests and it was super quiet and he turned to stretch his back and let out the loudest fart😂😂

For the kitten. I would also definitely suggest getting them a buddy. It will help a lot with the psychotic. After having 1 cat for 6 mos, after having 2 for 10 years, my husband and I have decided to always have 2 cats. They do so much better with a buddy.
Just want to comment that environment plays a role in this as well. It’s important to introduce them properly and make sure that they get along.
@@megankidd4671 Good news is that if for some reason introduction is too short or cats still don't get along (also, not getting along is actual fighting. Lots of cats tolerate each other and grow closer slowly, that's fine) you can do the process all over again because cats can "reset" their relationship through the scent familiarization process. In fact, if one of them gets really scared and doesn't have an outlet, they can sometimes redirect that aggression and get the relationship ruined. This is of course rare, but even if that ever happened, it's the same principle there too. Reintroduction solves like 90% or higher of relationship issues among cats. The small percent where it doesn't, I would suggest talking to a vet. Cats can get anxiety disorders and can be aggressive with them. Cat safe medicine can help manage that.

i'm really enjoying watching this, but as someone who is learning to do traditional turkish style water marbling (heavily watered down watercolour or acrylic on thickened water, printing onto paper) it feels like nail polish (and the commonly used spray paint) are some of the most frustrating and least satisfying way to do this - it just looks like there are so many limitations added by the paint choice that don't feel like a fair exhange for the ability to marble onto shiny 3d surfaces.
please consider giving traditional marbling a go if you haven't before!! acrylic paint can be used to marble not just on paper but on any kind of porous surface, which means you can marble on bisque pottery!! unfortunately you cannot make food safe marbled pottery this way, but you can make really cool decorative pottery with far more control (and a less rushed working time) over the patterns you make and i really do think you guys would enjoy that a Lot. the woman i learned from (lucy mcgrath of Marmor Paperie!!) makes ceramic baubles at christmas and they're absolutely beautiful.
edit: re your concern about the innermost drop of paint not spreading as much at about 33:25: this is normal! surface tension is a big factor at play with marbling, and that's why the first drop spreads so much - there simply is no tension on the surface, so it can race to spread as far as it can. as more paint gets added, that changes, and the more paint that fills the water surface, the less room there is for later drops of paint to spread. (with actual paint you can control this a lot more by adding surfactants. i use heavily diluted dish soap, but traditionally ox gall was used: more surfactant = a more dramatic, and sometimes TOO dramatic spread) im sorry this got so long and rambly ahshdkjfgdh i just really adore marbling, it's such a fascinating and old art
Just out of curiosity, why can't you make food-safe marbled pottery that way? Can you not dip it in a clear glaze and do a glaze fire after you've marbled it? Is it because of the acrylic paints? What if you marbled with underglaze somehow?
@@FlailTV yeah, you got it! as far as i have read, acrylic paint is not suitable for being fired because it's effectively plastic and thus it doesnt handle those kiln heats well, and because firing that glaze is the way to make most pottery food safe. i'm not a potter and i don't really understand it, but i'll trust the masters of the crafts who say 'bro thats not safe don't do it' lmao.
i've wondered about marbling with glazes themselves before too, it'd be interesting to see for sure!! i imagine you wouldn't be able to get the same control and fine crisp lines that you do with paints, though, but it'd be cool to see it explored with underglazes too. goddamn, i really don't have the money or means to get into another branch of this craft but i wanna Try it now lol
@@FlailTV yo i did a quick google of it and while most of the results are the made with the godawful shaving foam 'hack', there have definitely been some people making really beautiful marbled ceramics with underglaze, especially over in turkey.
@EmrysPaperArt Ah that's amazing! Oh my god I hate that shaving cream marbling so much. It just never DOESN'T look like crap. I really want to try to do marbling properly, on thickened water with carrageenan and all that. I'm glad to hear it can actually be done on pottery without having to skip the glaze.

Awe this kitten reminds me of my cat when my partner and I adopted her. She was WILD, so we named her Tecuani which means "beast/wild animal/people biter" in Nahuatl! She's mild out now that she's almost 3, but still has some crazy eyes and zoomies like no one can fathom 😂

I've never done water marble but I'm literally screaming through the screen right now! 😅 Saf that purple, pink and black that looked like an orchid was so pretty! And you have to go slow when you dip it so it sticks to all sides

Congrats on the kitten! Eggman is not so odd - my daughter named their 2nd beagle Lemon Lightening (the older dog was Shiloh, he just passed) and the new beagle puppy is Truffle Phoenix because she says he was born on the day Shiloh died. So, creative names work just fine!
Loved how saf kept pouring literal drops when you have to actually pour more nail polish to make a design. And you wear gloves when you water marble

Our cat is called Cosmo. He is also crazy 😅 He will turn 4 this year. Still the same as he was when we got him. He is very food motivated and tries to eat anything he deems edible (even if it isn't)... Makes our life a little harder but much more fun!

But omg this is so frustrating to watch 😆 you need way more drops (like four per color at least) from the center. That's why the patterning isn't working. As you add more drops (and not a huge pour), the older layers will spread out.
Encanto is never old news in my house 😅 It's my 15 mo daughter's absolutel favorite. It's the only movie that will fully entrance her. No matter what. I think we have watched it upwards 60 times and still climbing? 🤣
