I fell away from God, by choice, and I fell into sin again. I am renewed, and I love your preachings.. thank you so much for your ministry.

I’ve been having this guy from a Baptist church say I’m not right with the Lord and I don’t have the Holy Ghost because I never gotten baptised straight away after I repentant. I am a born again believer who was delivered. This video has just came on the right time. I believe God literally used you to speak about this to get to me. There could have been 1000s of different bible topics but I needed this one right now. Thank you sir.
Denominations get things wrong. When you're saved you're sealed in a nano- second. I was never water baptized and I still haven't been water baptized. I did receive baptism in The Holy Spirit long after being saved. It's a gift of God and HE sovereignly chooses to baptize you in the Spirit. It is a separate experience. I was absolutely immersed in The Holy Spirit.... it's almost indescribable. It revealed spiritual gifts during the experience. It equips you for service just like in the book of Acts. That's when the apostles got the ability to do powerful things in the service of God just as Jesus himself did during his Earthly ministry.
I love this man! Thank you, Lord, for sending this man to reveal us Your Truths that were hidden from us before. I was blind, but now I see, I see more clearly!
Not sure where you stand on the matter, but I will say this for anyone that will read it: "...But he that believes will not be condemned" which is the ESV I know, but they communicate the same message. Does it say, "He who does not believe AND BE BAPTIZED will not be condemned." No, it just says whoever doesn't believe will be condemned. So, then what if someone gets baptized but doesn't believe? Is that individual saved? No, that theme is clear throughout the scriptures. So, if baptism alone can't save you, it can't be the thing that saves you. As Dwayne pointed out, baptism is the first step of obedience. If I say, "Oh I believe in Jesus, but this whole baptism thing that he told me to do, I don't actually have to do that." I am actively not believing in Jesus since he told me that is what I need to do. Just like if he says, "Don't look at a woman with lust." and I keep staring at women with lustful intent and say, "Oh I don't actually have to do that." I am not believing or trusting him. I understand the misconception, and I hope this helps you to see that baptism will not save you or anyone else. Belief in Jesus as the propitiation for our sins, and repentance (confess and turn away from sin) is the only way we can be forgiven and be cleansed from all unrighteousness. This theme is seen in 1 John. This is great news for us because it takes all of the work off of us. Jesus says his yoke is easy his burden is light. We don't have to carry the weight around of needing to do anything for our salvation, he paid the full price already! Our response should be humble obedience to our Lord because of what HE did and if we aren't willing to be baptized and humbly obey the Lord's commands are we really believing in him at all?
@@TheRighteousBeggar James 2 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Acts 10 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
@@TheRighteousBeggar Baptism follows belief in the New Testament. The 2 are not separated and this can be seen throughout the book of Acts. Don't tell me you believe in Jesus and then don't follow His commandment for baptism. If you refuse baptism, then you don't believe.
@kickinthegob I answered your protestation in another one of your posts. Believe what you want to believe, but if you’re going to just get onto my channel And bomb post multiple disagreements with what I taught, you will not last long on here. Thank you for this channel. I was sprinkled as a baby. When I became born again at age 52, I joined a local Baptist church mainly to get baptized for the right reasons. Thank you for explaining who can do baptisms.
I got baptized on 6/30/24 here in Germany in my Baptist church with full emersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost - and they make it clear, that every believer could baptize you. Maybe the churches differ between the continents? I considered myself a Christian for the last half year and it was a honor for me to make a public statement for my Lord and Savior. My family came to town and even my 82-year old grandmother visited - despite most of them being let’s say skeptical of Christianity. My interpretation was: it is not the preposition for salvation, but I always saw it as the natural progression if you are honest and true with your intentions and your motives. Thank your for this video and your channel, good sir. May God bless all of you!
I want to get baptised badly. I love Christ, I have no denomination, am saved by grace *alone*, follow scripture and want to spread the love that God has showed me. I cannot get baptised because I am a Christian convert and my situation doesn't allow it. But I don't want my circumstances to define my life. I believe that God will one day open a way for me. I pray to Him constantly as well as for Him to inspire my family and friends to open their hearts to Christ, just as I did. I am the only Christian in my family. Thank you for your input Dwayne. You seem more a God-fearing man than many I have met, including ministers, leaders etc. What would you recommend I do with regards to my situation? I pray to God because I trust that He will open a way, and I read and meditate on the Bible daily. I am currently reading Jeremiah and boy is it awesome!
I must admit, I am unclear as to what you mean when you say that you cannot get baptized because you are a Christian convert and your situation doesn’t allow it.
@@TackRoomBibleTalk Sure thing. I forgot to mention this but I come from a Muslim family. Not devout, but still Muslim. I happened to find Christ in the worst time of my life, by simply getting on my needs in my room alone and praying to Jesus. I will never forget the feeling of all my worries, fears and burdens being lifted from my shoulders and the pure joy that followed. I am a uni student, 19, male and live at home. Though I can imagine a 19 year old gets lots of freedom in America and Christian families, this is sadly not true for Muslims. I need to have an excuse to leave the house to go to church, which is not always available but has been getting better recently. But if I get baptised, and full dunk, then I'll have to return home wet or at least with wet clothes 😂. It also doesn't help that the church that I go to makes a baptism in front of lots of people and on video. 😅 But I'm hoping that at some point, whether in university or after, I'll be able to get baptised without anyone on my back. Brother, I was shook the first time I had seen you in a short. You bare a striking resemblance to a friend of mine who passed away 2 years ago. Thank you for sharing this and God Bless.
There's 3 main passages that connect baptism to salvation and forgiveness of sin Mark 16:16, Act 2:38, and Acts 22:16. The explanation of "for" in Acts 2:38 makes sense in English, but not in Spanish which is my native tongue, the word used in Spanish is "so you may receive" or "unto" which is why I always had trouble with this explanation since in Spanish it's very clear and no room to be understood as "because of". Then there's the other two passages. It's true salvation is due to what Christ did and if he would not have lived, died, and resurrected then it would just be getting wet. So my next question is Do I need to confess Christ's name to be saved?
Thank you for your videos Dewayne - I find them refreshing, open and honest. One push back I have is, and I am not sure about the Baptist church, I am in a Presbyterian church in Scotland and we baptise in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit into the universal catholic church - not Roman Catholic or any other denomination but to every Christian church/denomination. But I also think that we have two baptisms - the personal baptism of the Holy Spirit and our response in the water baptism. Thanks again Dewayne in all you do!
Thank you uncle Dwayne. Praise God for the glory of His grace in your ministry 🙌🏻 You really are blessed with the power of the Holy Spirit in teaching us who have uncertainty about these type of things and providing clarity. May our Lord guide, protect and give you strength to keep on keeping on. In Jesus mighty name. Amen 🙏🏻✝️🤍
Here's a look at Acts 2:38 from the Wuest Translation, "And Peter said to them, Have a change of mind, that change of mind being accompanied by abhorrence of and sorrow for your deed, and let each one of you be baptized upon the ground of your confession of belief in the sum total of all that Jesus Christ is in His glorious Person, this baptismal testimony being in relation to the fact that your sins have been put away, and you shall receive the gratuitous gift of the Holy Spirit." All children go to heaven no matter how they die, they’re innocent. That’s y we must cherish our time when we’re young and protect the young always, Gods creation
I was always taught that if you were so young that you were unable to receive or comprehend the Gospel or understand sin enough to so much as act in it, you were innocent. While you were born entirely of flesh, inheriting the destiny of sin, not divinely incarnated as Christ was, your period of infantile innocence was accounted for and cherished by God.

Good lesson. I've been taught my entire life that baptism was required for salvation and it always struck me as weird when you read John 3:16 and it says you have to believe to be saved. It brings me great happiness because I know people that believed that christ was the son of god but died before they could be baptized.

The word for in this passage come from the Greek word eis. Which is describing in this context Transliteration: eis Pronunciation: ice Part of Speech: preposition Root Word (Etymology): A primary preposition TDNT Reference: 2:420,211 Outline of Biblical Usage: into, unto, to, towards, for, among I would say that it is easy to be understood that the word for is saying that this is for something not a entire twisting of the scripture to describe that remission of sins have already been received. The scripture doesn’t say you get baptized because you have received the remission of sins. You were getting baptized for the remission of sins. The way you receive remission of sins is by getting baptized that’s how the scripture describes it. You get buried in baptism, that is how you are washed from your sins. That is how the old world was cleansed from sin in the flood with Noah, first, Peter, chapter 3 verses 20 to 21 even shows us that baptism also now does save us just how the very few in the arch were saved by water. And does this mean your fate is sealed in salvation when you’re baptized? no. Once saved always saved us another life. Baptism saves you from being under the law, from being under the law of sin and death, but it is the faithful who abide in the Lord and who bear fruit that will not be cut down and cast into the fire. So I asked that we can conversation about this, I hope that you were open to discussing the scripture on this matter. But I do not think it is wise to teach such a bold thing pertaining to the doctrine of Jesus Christ in a way that twists and teachers away the fundamental doctrine of baptism.
I was baptized 10 years ago. I testify, when I came out of the water, I had been given the Holy Spirit. I felt it, and remember it to this day. It wasn’t just an act or symbol. Something actually happened, and took place. That’s all I can tell you. But believe on the Lord and you shall be saved. I don’t deny any of it. God is amazing. And who has understood the mind of God? Praise Jesus. ❤
I’ve been listening to you for a few weeks now and I agree and like what you’re saying. We need more men like you preaching Gods word. Please keep up the good work.
I thought if there was one thing I was confident I understood in the faith was baptism it turns out I didn't know squat. I have a long way to go in my faith journey but finally feel I'm on the right path. Thanks for your teachings Dewayne, you have a gift.
Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. You and your household" I so appreciate your simple understanding of the gospel. I am so tired of seeing people try to overcomplicate it and get lost in theology, it is driving people away from Christ daily. The message of the gospel is so simple a child could understand it, but due to lack of faith people think they must jump through an endless amount of hoops to "Earn" their way to heaven. Matthew 18:3 "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of God"
I know this isn’t perfect but this is my church. This is where I go for spiritual food and for correction. You make so much sense and get me to reflect on my attitude and my actions. Thank you sir! very much!
Dewayne, this Bible study was AWESOME!!! Thank you for your time and for explaining things in a way that makes it all click. Hope you have a blessed day!
I like your interpretation, and to seek out not to just follow with out seeking out what has been explained , that you are trying to guide to the truth and then for those to read and test it to be true . Thank you. I can only speak for my self , one opens ones soul and except god and he enters and become part and the journey and relationships begins that take the rest of one life and we never deserved but are blessed to receive.
I was raised in the church, and got baptized willingly as a teenager. Sadly, I was stagnant and lukewarm in my faith for years, and only in the last couple of years in my twenties have I begun regularly reading God's Word and praying over it. Now, my life has completely changed, and I can feel the surety and peace of Christ in my life. It's incredible. But sometimes I experience moments of worry or doubt that, due to my stagnation, my baptism was in some way insincere or incorrect, despite me willingly and knowingly seeking it out for the public declaration of my faith.
There is nothing wrong with getting baptized a few times, until it feels right in your relationship with Jesus. I did that and eventually I honestly felt a change inside after doing it when my heart was truly ready for it. Remember Jesus was baptized around 30 years old. We all have an appointed time for spiritual advancement.
I was raised in the Baptist church. I took the baptism class they had at the age of 5 or.6 and after careful discussions with the minister and my mom, the minister felt I fully understood what becoming a born again Christian meant. I lstopped going to church (different Baptist.churcjh) when I was 16 as I was tired of their politics and favoritism for those more financially affluent. I have never stopped.believing. and know that Christ has blessed my family and.myself in so.many ways, so many incidents seem unfathomable in His grace. What I am wondering is.should I be baptized again?.I am almost 59. I have been a poor example.of being a.Christian many times.in my life.but He has always been there for me.
If you were not in the right mindset while you were baptized then you should definitely be dipped again. And if it turns out you’re ok, getting wet won’t hurt.
I have a great friend of mine that I have this discussion with. I agree with all of your points on baptism. My friend, goes to an Apostolic Pentecostal church and his stance is that you have to be baptized in Jesus’ Name (Not in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit) and need to show proof of receiving the Holy Ghost and that can be done by speaking in tongues. So, this topic us important to discuss because there are people who believe you need to be baptized to be saved
Dewine, I completely believe the wey you explained this. I never thought about it in that depth. But I praise the Lord that he revealed it to me in that wey.

Well said brother !! It all goes to what I say quite often … it’s the K.I.S.S. method … Keep It Simple Stupid. We all try to make Salvation complicated. It is amazing how many people when asked who saved them will give you the preacher’s name. The Lord is greatly using you !! Thanks for your content and the new channel.
Thank you for these videos Dewayne. The assembly I attend is a non-denominational and they preach the same truths you have been discussing on this channel. I don’t want to stop attending, but they open the service with a “worship” that just feels like a Christian concert. How can we as believers worship outside of the church? God bless you and your family.
People, don’t understand that being baptized is asking Jesus Christ, to come into our soul, and we’re willing to follow Jesus Christ, wholeheartedly. Getting baptized without excepting Jesus Christ, wholeheartedly they aren’t born again and they aren’t saved. God, bless you Sir and your family. Thank you for sharing.
Hello Dwayne, thank you so much for your content. I appreciate the wisdom God has given you and that you share it with us. I have a question on baptism. I understand you have a Baptist background, and I’m aware they believe baptism is full immersion and that it is an outward symbol of an inward change. I too believed this, and now have some thoughts and questions a wonderful godly elder brought to my attention. First thank you for explaining what the word ‘for’ meant in the verse we are covering here. That was very helpful. And I will be taking this to my elder. I wanted to ask you, and I am aware it is above all our pay grade to say who is saved and who is not, so that’s not what I’m asking, I would love to know what you believe are the commands God gives us to truly be saved that we must follow? This is not by works but by obeying His commands so that we may be saved. Thank you for your understanding.
The word for on acts 2:38 comes from the Greek word “ais” which means “unto” or “for the purpose of” We can’t argue scripture which was written in Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic from the English language as we know it , it has to come from what it means in its original language. Dwayne I love your videos and I appreciate your insights for life, they have been very helpful to me but saying this passage means “because of” would mean that Jesus was crucified “because of the remission of sins” he was crucified in order to forgive sins. 1 Peter 3:21 “in like manner, baptism now also saves you” It’s the reenactment of the death, burial and resurrection which is the act that made salvation possible through Christ. Sorry for the lengthy reply, and much more could be said, maybe this will open the discussion. 👍
The word “for” in Acts 2:38 is translated to “eis” in the original Greek language. This word is used 1493 within the New Testament. This word either means into, unto, towards, or entrance into. Not once in the New Testament has the word for been used for “because of”. The most common usage is into which is used 571 times. Also, if you look at Matthew 26:28, it says “For this is the blood of the new testament, which is shed for many FOR the remission of sins”. As you can see this verse has the same exact structure as Acts 2:38. So if you use the “because of” argument in Matthew 26:28 it would say that Christ’s blood was shed because sins were already remitted, and we know that is not true. Also, look at the phrase, “for the remission of sins” in the original language. It reads “eis aphesin ton hamartion humon”. This same phrase is used in Mark 1:4 and Luke 3:3. These verses describe John the Baptist teaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Were those followers who were baptized by John already forgiven of their sins ? No they were not . The same literature is used in Acts 2:38. Hopefully you do not see this as an argument Dwayne. You are absolutely my favorite person on social media. However, I hope you see this because the Bible describes the pursuit of truth as a very important process. Therefore I would love to hear your input on this! Thank you sir!
Dewayne thank you so much for you and this channel. You’ve been such an inspiration and the Lord is using you in such an awesome way to reach people. You don't need no priest or pastor to baptize you. Any child of God can do it
So rare to find a humble man who knows his scripture nowadays. Thank you for your lessons and creating a Bible talk account.
He’s twisting it to fit his beliefs. Which are new, the Church has baptized infants since the start for the forgiveness of sins
@@Foggybottom45543 Respectfully, "The church" has never baptized an infant.
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
(Mark 16:16 KJV)

James 2
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Acts 10
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
I am not providing a platform for argument and disagreement.
Dewayne, great teaching biblically sound doctrine. Keep preaching the truth of Gods word.
Thank you for this channel. I was sprinkled as a baby. When I became born again at age 52, I joined a local Baptist church mainly to get baptized for the right reasons. Thank you for explaining who can do baptisms.
Clear interpretation of Scripture. God bless you my brother.
Congrats! Bless you 😊
I'm so happy for you. I get emotional when I hear of people getting saved.
This is by far the best baptism explanation out there.
But I'm hoping that at some point, whether in university or after, I'll be able to get baptised without anyone on my back.
P.S. You really lifted my heart when you replied. I know you are a busy man and I am absolutely honoured to speak with you. Christ be with you 🏆❤.
P.S. P.S. I want to thank you for sharing your wisdom, realism, honesty, good heart, strength and love for God and Christ to us all. Brother, I was shook the first time I had seen you in a short. You bare a striking resemblance to a friend of mine who passed away 2 years ago. Thank you for sharing this and God Bless.
Thank you for the clarification
That may be confession and absolution or confess as in live openly for Christ
Amen ! Thank you
Thank you for your videos Dewayne - I find them refreshing, open and honest.

Here's a look at Acts 2:38 from the Wuest Translation, "And Peter said to them, Have a change of mind, that change of mind being accompanied by abhorrence of and sorrow for your deed, and let each one of you be baptized upon the ground of your confession of belief in the sum total of all that Jesus Christ is in His glorious Person, this baptismal testimony being in relation to the fact that your sins have been put away, and you shall receive the gratuitous gift of the Holy Spirit." Kenneth Wuest was a Greek scholar who composed an excellent, literal translation of the N.T.

You have such a good understanding of the Bible. So glad I found your channel. Gotta have good Godly, Bible based people we can trust in our walk! 💜
Yes when king David lost his child he said I know I will see him again. All the babies that have been aborted are in heaven
All children go to heaven no matter how they die, they’re innocent.

Wow, my wife and I were having a discussion about this just last night, and this morning I see you've made this video. God is amazing!
Good lesson. I've been taught my entire life that baptism was required for salvation and it always struck me as weird when you read John 3:16 and it says you have to believe to be saved.
It brings me great happiness because I know people that believed that christ was the son of god but died before they could be baptized.
Thanks Dwayne. I'm 72 yo, but, I've never been good at articulating this subject, as well as you did here. It was a blessing to hear. I hope, those watching, recognize this teaching.

The word for in this passage come from the Greek word eis.
Which is describing in this context
Transliteration: eis
Pronunciation: ice
Part of Speech: preposition
Root Word (Etymology): A primary preposition
TDNT Reference: 2:420,211
Outline of Biblical Usage:
into, unto, to, towards, for, among
I would say that it is easy to be understood that the word for is saying that this is for something not a entire twisting of the scripture to describe that remission of sins have already been received.
Looking forward to your next video! Ive been checking daily since this one❤
Please keep bringing these teachings. Your knowledge and wisdom is a blessing to me. Thank you.
Thank you Sir, for another pill of wisdom. God bless you.
Please consider making a whole video on the topic of original sin. I really want to further study and understand this topic.

This is great teaching! Thank you
I was raised in the church, and got baptized willingly as a teenager.
This video is so helpful. Thank you Dewayne!
One thing for sure, it gets a person [myself for one] back to looking at scripture and that's always a good thing.
Sorry for the typos. Am on a.small tablet and have bad eyesight.
Spot on again! GREAT teaching & clarity!

Thank you, Dewayne; your thought on original sin is very interesting. 🙏
The word for on acts 2:38 comes from the Greek word “ais” which means “unto” or “for the purpose of”
We can’t argue scripture which was written in Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic from the English language as we know it , it has to come from what it means in its original language.
Dwayne I love your videos and I appreciate your insights for life, they have been very helpful to me but saying this passage means “because of” would mean that Jesus was crucified “because of the remission of sins” he was crucified in order to forgive sins.
1 Peter 3:21 “in like manner, baptism now also saves you”
It’s the reenactment of the death, burial and resurrection which is the act that made salvation possible through Christ.
👍🏻 thank. I appreciate your talk!

One thing I do struggle with is staying in The Word. How do I just not read the text but actually study the Bible and get motivated to read it? I’m asking this because I want to know Jesus more and hear from Him.
