I can't tell you how much I needed this because I have a thing where I worry about my salvation and worry that I lost it but God has chastised me severely before and I know I was truly saved on Thanksgiving Day 2022 and I understand that the only way to receive salvation is by believing in Jesus finished work in 1 Corinthians 15 vs1-4 saved by grace through faith not of ourselves it is a gift from God

This was taught to me in church when I was a young child in the 50's and 60's. I got a lot of encouragement on the Grace and Love of God from this video. thank you
Wow, I come from a very conservative denomination where all that was stressed was “you gotta do more”! We were told that we get saved thru grace but after you gotta do all the works to stay saved!! I found this talk to be so refreshing, thanks!!
I kinda grew up around that sort of mindset, too. The thought process of "oh, I do all these good works and say the right words and I look all clean-cut and nice, so I must be a better Christian than you" sort of thing. I went to a different denomination of church than what i grew up in, and i heard the gospel explained in a way i never thought of before, but which is absolutely true. All our good works are trash when it comes to our salvation. We are dead in our sins, and dead men can't do anything. God had to reach down to us to pull us out of the casket of our sin nature, and all we did was we held up our hand and accepted His help. We do good works after we are saved to honor our father and because we want to shine His light in the dark world.
To say that God saved me from my own self-destruction is putting it mildly! So grateful this morning to be free from the bondage of sin by His grace.. Thank you for the message.
Thank you Sir. I was looking into religious trauma cause I couldn’t get a grip on myself. I was raised in a strict but unhealthy way of viewing salvation. My older brother could not, he would not forgive himself for whatever perceived sin he committed. He couldn't receive God's forgiveness though he trusted Christ as his Savior as a teenager. His own heart condemned him. His life was frought with drug and alcohol abuse. It's truly heartbreaking to see our loved ones let sin defeat them because they lost sight of who God is. Beautiful sermon and words of great encouragement and wisdom from Psalm 103. Even born-again believers are never entirely sanctified (despite what I was taught years ago by the Church of the Nazarene), and despite the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church curia about "good works" in the Epistle of James, I fully believe in the doctrine of "Eternal Security" emphasized in the Gospel of St. John in chapter 6, verse 37 (and other verses).
I struggle with this….I feel very full in a sense from the Holy Spirit-by God’s grace and mercy, He delivered me from my depression and suicidal thoughts/tendencies….but I have fleeting moments were I feel inadequate. And I am, I know that. And that’s okay, I know Jesus is perfection for us but I there are time when my mind just thinks about it and I can’t believe that He’d do that for me because of the times I fail Him. I don’t want to do these things that I struggle with. The works based doctrine that I slipped from is still permeating in my mind despite what I read and have come to know. I can’t wait till the flesh is no longer an issue and that sin is completely gone, that we’re one with Christ ❤️ thank you for your kind words and support brother. He takes away all sin: important to point out ALL sin; past, present AND future. I didn’t understand that until many many years. The covenant is done, paid for in full, FINISHED. The churches never seem to teach this. Not just past sin is forgiven when you come to Christ, but ALL sin of the whole world was dealt with at the cross. Praise God. God bless you! Appreciate you.

As a teenager it is very uncommon among others my age to like things like this. But I think that we should return to the old ways…And I preach that to others of my age.
