I had one that was a solid 3 foot turd in a series of 90⁰ elbows. I had the vacuum pulling at the basement and I was putting more than 50 PSI in at the attic. Wouldn't budge. Had to locate where the clog was by drilling holes and checking for water and replace the affected section completely. Never seen one so bad. Rust flakes from the coil had totally compacted in it.
I had an 8 inch doberman turd come out of a three story apartment condensate drain line once... I was in awe as it came out finally after working on it for a while... Had to reverse blast it with nitro to free it.. Never seen anything like it since...
I normally cut the drain line before the p-trap and place a union there. Shoot about 50psi of nitrogen, followed by my vacuum and about 4 pan treatments tablets. I’ve seen a lot of installs with clear p-traps and I’ll probably order a box of those, makes it easier to see that the blockage is completely gone.
I found putting a vacuum from the outside first, just harden's & compacts the blockage .. I have found it better to hit it with a little pressure and then put the vacuum on it.. 🌞 Job Well Done Sir!
Good persistence in making it a "E GWANA DRAIN" . I usually have good luck in snaking ptrap with stranded wire. I don't have that high powered vacuum that you do. Snaking at tee and flushing drain out usually works for me. If it don't I cut pvc, clean and replumb.
And or replace with pre bent trap , I wonder if too much cement use on trap catches debris from coils and gets stuck on it , accumulative effect over time , then backs up on humid or rainy days..🤔✌️✌️💪🙏

I use copper ground wire to snake outside and cut out traps to clean them completely. Snaking and vacuum always seems to leave residue and I'm OCD with leaving it that way

For all your installs I strongly recommend the Supco Jones Valve, we use it on every install we do and makes annual service of blowing out the lines super easy.
Seems to me when you were vacuuming the drain the 2nd time you should have plugged up the vertical PVC because it was acting as the vent and you weren't sucking/clearing past the j-trap. Unless you felt the obstruction was down past the vent.
When we lived in Florida the previous owner moved the air handler to the carport into a home made closet. Which made it easier and didn't have to worry about the water draining
Do it right, use Nu-Calgon Drain Solve. Follow the directions and your done. Blowing it out just blows the clog out. The pipe is still coated with slime. Drain Solve cleans the entire drain line.
@@HVACGUY Curtis are those comparable to the same for swamp coolers. Seems those are cheaper . Over cement on trap joints cause dam effect , accumulative built up and exasberated on rain or humid days...🤔✌️💪🙏👍
A little trick i learned from another youtuber that works very well, mix foam Brite (yellow coil cleaner) with water, (3:1, in a water bottle) pour that through the cleanout, allow it to sit for a couple minutes, then vacuum it out. I tested this when we were slower and boy o boy, does it work! You'll clean out gunk that you couldn't imagine would come out of a condensate drain! Also, about 5 years ago, I pulled a clog from a drain that came out in one long, 15' turd! Never have I seen another clog like that before and I hope I never do.
I’m not a ac tech but noticed blackish water drips from my secondary line drain outside high on the wall. Started probing it out and all kinds of wet large insect larvae parts and black sludge came out. Cleaned more out with a wire brush and then gently applied squirts of hose water until it ran clean. Man was it nasty. We bought the house 11 months ago and this had to be going on for a long time. I’ve noticed fly’s up here will sneak into the smallest holes to do their business. Never seen anything like it elsewhere.

Min 10:10 You send a blast (nitrogen?) UP the drain line, which unblocks the blockage. But aren't you worried that it would blow that stuff back up into the attic? Is there a nuance I'm missing here? PS: great video. Thanks for making.
Or move crap out of the way before install, keep your vegetation away from the outdoor unit, best one yet, pick up your dog shit please and thank you. Sorry, installer rant.
@@hiddenwolf8536 I always make space if I have someone coming to work on something. If we know time coming we also open below the house in case they need in there.
So the reason why the vacuum did not work on the first attempt was because there was an open tee in-line before the actual plugged condensate trap therefore it was only pulling from the open tee and not the trap the follow up should of been to flush the trap with warm water and coil cleaner and add tablets to the evap coil pan !! Have a Great Day
I think you put that sensor on the wrong side if you install it outside of the pan it would only stop the ac when the attic filled with water Which I have seen more than once Wtf
You sure do have alot of units in the attic with no walkway or platform there is one every one in a while here in north Carolina but not like what you run up with
did a good job enjoy watching your youtube. learn a few things. be bless and love. SAVANNAH TN.
I'm soo glad my air handler unit is in my garage. Soo much easier to do routine maintenance on it.

Those sensors are the WORST ...
Nice pull/push on the drain. Good to see a nice tall air break south of the trap.
Thank you for sharing, Sir.
That's exactly how my attic is. I plan to install one of those ladders but make it a close to the unit as possible.
This in one of many reasons I hate furnace in the attic.

Sure it wasn't a human turd from the previous service company?
Man.. It's been a clogged drain week up here in Atlanta. 4 this week so far, unreal!
That's what happens when they don't do pre-seasonal inspections; poor planning!

the nozzle on those milwaukee vacuums are the perfect size you can just push it down inside the tee fitting and blow right down the drain I love it.
I usually flush it out with some evap coil cleaner then a couple gallons of water behind it. Gets the pipe really clean.
Who is the RUclipsr you like to watch? You left us hanging.
I watch a lot of them, but I was referring to Mi Heating Guy
I live in houston and it is code to insulate the drain line. Is it not code there?
What did you put in the drain pan out of the bottle?

Clorine

agree 100%, a piece of duct tape over the vent during vacuum process would pull all the way to pan
I like to cut pvc after coil adapter. Add a union. Blow it both ways pvc pipe. I would cap inline tee to force clog to outside.
What were the pills you put into the drain pan?
Algae tablets

One way to clean Mikeys pipes from a clog. They do get nasty from that acidic water from the coil. Glad ya got it unclogged. Have a good one.
