By the way the faction you supported during the Spanish Civil war, the CNT-FAI really existed. It was an Anarcho-Communist movement mostly popular in Aragon and it was created after the merging of the CNT and the AIT parties (they renamed AIT later to FAI I believe). And by saying popular in Aragon I mean REALLY popular they had like 50 percent of all votes there I believe.
CNT being Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (National Confederation of Labor) and FAI being Federación Anarquista Ibérica (Iberian Anarchist Federation)
Wasn't Aragon an autonomous commune in the second Spanish republic?
@@howdydoobroyt Civil War started 2 days after the projects that would turn Aragón and Galicia into autonomous communities were handed over to the Cortes Generales, so they never went into effect.

Alt history is one of my favorite subjects. Its a great thought experiment to analyze the real would and use that knowledge to consider how things could have gone slightly different. Leading to radical change.

Hey, just a few tips for playing Kaiserreich/Kaiserredux for the future:
>a lot more stuff is scripted than in normal Hoi4. If you see a buch of peace offers like when you defeated Germany, that's intended to make the peace deals more realistic than vanilla.
>after you annex territory, you'll have either events or decisions with a time limit to decide what to do with it. If you don't take them the game will treat is as you deciding to set up a military occupation, costing you a lot of stability and political power. If you go through the decisions and release the territories as puppet regimes the map will look significantly less bordergore'y, trust me.
>because of the amount of flavour and events in the mod, playing on speed 5 all the time can get really confusing. If you're nearing some big conflict like the war with Germany, I'd strongly suggest slowing it down for a bit or/and pausing a lot to go through things one by one.
I have a few suggestions for future videos. If you're going to keep playing Kaiserreich some nations I recommend you play as are Russia, Poland, Japan, Canada and Mittelafrika. If you want to go back to the base game, perhaps do an achievement guide for "Esti is Scandi".

Syndicalism isn't a form of Communism. Syndicalism is the organization of unions and labour councils that manage the working class. Communism, more specifically Leninism and it's many variants, call for a working class party to run the government. The unions and councils act as a form of democracy, between the party and the workers.

According to Sheri Berman, Georges Sorel provided one of "revisionisms" to marxism, namely, Nationalist Revisionism (Democratic revisionism by Bernstein and Revolutionary Revisionism by Lenin being others). This variant criticised orthodox-Marxism of the mainstream socialist/social democratic parties in Europe and pursued violent struggle against capitalism. Mussolini was under influence of the writings of Sorel and went on to find fascism as an alternative to socialism in Italy as a response to its "failure" after the WW1.
I am amazed by how well the Kaiserreich team implemented the counterfactual on the matter of "totalism". Power-mongers of western Europe such as Mussolini or Mosley never went fascist, as revolutionary left won in the Western Europe and not in Russia. Here is the genius part from the perspective of history of ideas: In the game socialist/communist mainstream is called "syndicalism" and not "Marxism" because as revolution failed in Russia and Marx was never immortalized by Lenin and Bolsheviks, even if his original thesis that urban proletariat in the most advanced parts of Europe will bring about the revolution turned correct in the Kaiserreich timeline. Historically, revolution in Russia is not expected in terms of Marxist orthodoxy.

Hey, as long as you’re in France, come around to Italy, one of the cities about 2 hours east of Rome is called pescara, it’s really cool. It has a HUGE history despite being probably the “newest” city in Italy. It was carpet bombed by the USAAF because it was a nazi SS staging ground for all of the Mediterranean forces. It dates back to like 500 bc. Anyway, love the content, keep it up!

BTW Syndicalism and Anarchism is closer to real communism. The popular "communism" is actually the Totalitarian or Authoritarian Socialism. I assume you already know this but some people looking for this comment might learn something.

Personally prefer Kaiserredux (cause the funni) but Kaiserreich is pretty cool. If you haven't already, I'd recommend playing "Old World Blues", the fallout new vegas mod for HOI4.
