The C6.R is the reason I even got into racing. I remember being a kid watching cartoons then I switch to the wrong channel, I then see a Corvette and Maserati going to war on track, had me glued for like 3 hours, I miss GT1 so bad
Round taillights, sober design and demonic sound. The best Corvette ! This melody is so missed at Le Mans... Oh and not to forget the engine in the correct place (and don't talk me about performance until you've checked all the races and championships won by this monster). Thanks again Bozzy! 🤘

I saw one of these racing at Mosport back in the day. It's genuinely hard to convey the sound of it in-person. I mean, when a race car flys past on the straightaway you feel it reverberate in your chest, with the C6R, it reverberated in your SOUL! It was just that loud. I'm pretty sure it contributed to my tinnitus (not that I'm complaining, mind you).
Late-GT2/Early GTE cars are probably my favorite production-based race cars, aesthetically. They're wider, lower, and have enough aero to look the part, but they aren't as garish and extreme as later GTEs and GT3s have since become. No colossal diffuser literally hanging off the back of the car by a thread, etc. Oh yeah, and as cool as it initially was seeing GM toss a Ferrari motor in the back of the new ZO6, I'm over this flat plane crank stuff now. Bring. Back. The. Thunder.

The C6R is The reason the class was dissolved and the other manufacturers left… No other Race team or manufacturer can claim this accomplishment and most likely nobody else ever will.

I like the supercharged version of corvette, cuz it makes it so much closer to camaro in feel. But I still hate the plastic chasis, and low clearence. It won't survive any storm.
This is a storm tho? Also there is that great video with thunders if you don’t want to sleep to it, just listen while awake. Literally one video on youtube with the thunder that feels right. Look for 10 hours of thunderstorms by calmsound, highly recommended for no reason whatsoever outside of quality lol

The Race Modified Corvette C4 Grand Sport also sounds great.
Diablo looked ugly with high taillights. Mclaren likewise. Ford gt had ugly round taillights.
