- Jiaoqiu is Acheron's best support now. However, is that alone enough of a reason to pull him? Today I share my thoughts on his teams, pull value, and his role as a Pela upgrade.

I’ve saved since Boothill to get Jiaoqui. Loved his design and his slightly unnerving smile from star.
Got pretty lucky with the pulls, won the 50/50 and his LC came in 30 pulls. Might try to go for E1. Haven’t had time to test him thoroughly yet in my teams, but so far he’s been a very nice addition.
The FOMO is hitting me strong with this one. He feels like he slots right into so many of my teams... But I'm holding strong for the Black Swan rerun since my DoT team has been really underperforming without her. It's got to be happening any time, now.
Yeah lol people will lose their minds when they see the 5 banners we have in first phase alone. I cannot justify spending pulls on him when 5 meta drivers are in coming next month.
You mean the reruns, because I don't think the new ones will be meta.

Regarding dmg amplification, defense shred and vulnerability calculated a bit different from each other. 40 % def shred is equivalent to 27-30% dmg boost, when vulnerability is essentially exactly the same as damage boost, 35 % vulnerability = 35 % damage boost. Vulnerability is better amplifier up to the point of 90-100 % def shred at which it deals bigger damage by comparison to vulnerability.
but def shred caps out at 100, doesn't vuln have no limit?
@@Sampoforeverrrr it's correct, what i meant is 100% def shred deals more damage than 100% vulnerability, but vulnerability doesn't cap at a 100 % we don't really have characters that can collectively apply over a hundred percent vulnerability though
Be careful using the term dmg boost though, because it sounds like you’re talking about additive dmg% (like from an orb), which is obviously a very different thing but sounds the same (I know people are already thinking dmg vuln = dmg%)
I think it should also be said that Vulnerability in combination with Defense Shred is better than just 100% Defense Shred and Vulnerability alone

Ahhhh... Yes! Nothing like spending (what could be) 160 pulls for a character that could be described as a slightly better Pela - a 4 star character.

@@CrispyWaterAt3Am Pela is free and requires no pulls, and having been rerun so many times and been sold in the store multiple times, it’s not far fetched to say that a lot of people already have her at least E4 with Pearls. So, it actually makes little sense for a F2P player to pull for JQ even if they main an Acheron.
That’s really all the ammunition I need to shut you up, because outside of PF, JQ is really not worth the pulls. As if 60k isn’t easy enough to get in PF as it is nowadays.

I love vertical investments in this type of game so much I do it with FuA and I love that it’s basically Topaz’s Ult Voiceline

I am going for a vertical investment strategy too. So far I have been lucky and have built several teams like mono quantum, follow-up, Firefly break and Acheron debuff comps. The only problem I have with Acheron is the amount of cycles it takes to recharge her ultimate. His debuffs being vulnerability instead of stacking a def debuff makes him a great character to avoid diminishing returns when adding him to another typical debuffer like Silver Wolf or Pela. I think that Jiaoqiu will get a lot of hate until after his banner when people will realize his value is in his flexibility and team compatibility.

It's been quite a rollercoaster for me with JQ. Was told to save for him very early on, dude gets smacked with nerfs constantly in beta, decided I didn't need to pull him. Then I find out he'll be her BiS regardless of my E0, E1, E2, etc. Learn about that at the same time I learn Robin is BiS on her team as well (on top of being goated in general) and she'll likely get re-ran on the same patch as the Feixiao.
My current plan is to skip JQ for his rerun for one simple reason. My Acheron already clears current content aside from PF. It would help solidify the top end and enable her in PF. But I also want his light cone as I really hate relic grinding. There's no way as a mostly F2P player for me to pull JQ+ LC, Feixiao+ LC, and Robin all back to back. Robin will immediately make PF comfy for my account and Feixiao will finally make wind/Phys weak bosses a non pain for my account.
The only worry is future characters. The big win for me is that once I have Robin I'll have all the Harmony characters I need that have been released (Don't need/like Sparkle, HuoHuo is mainly just DoT.) So my account doesn't really need her. Fingers crossed that when he returns I have the Jades to pull for him and his LC.
Exactly what I'm planning to do but I'm still not sure about feixiao though if she's busted then maybe I will be pulling for her (I'm saving for Aventurine robin maybe Kafka? And Silver Wolf)
I'm going to see if jiaoqiu gets powercrept by a Waifu debuffer that's better for Acheron. if not then I'll be pulling for him when he gets he's first rerun .
@@乃乇卂爪_0 From an account level Feixiao is really the only option for me. I don't like like any of the wind Damage characters lol. Phys side I do like Boothill, but I already have a FF break team and I dislike his gameplay loop. (maybe someday I'll grab on rerun.) I actually really like Yunli and her gameplay. But I didn't have any components for her BiS team. Where as Feixiao can have a "budget" team with units I already have. Robin is on her BiS which I am pulling for. Moze will be on her banner so he fits in the budget side iirc.
Performance wise I don't really care where she ends up, I like her design too much to not pull. I do care about account health and she does help that. So she don't gotta be meta for me :T Finally, I don't think JQ will get creeped for an Acheron team. They would need to make yet another Nihility, give the exact same benefit JQ gives (100% uptime on stack generation,) and offer something else that she would care about.
Which would make that Nihility unit completely different than other Nihility debuffers we've gotten so far. That's just far too specific. JQ and Robin are likely locked to be her best two allies in a BiS team till the game shutters.
@@mongrelshadow14 bro i A 100% Agree with everything you said I like Feixiao's design too and I liked Yunli's gameplay when I tested her out she's the kind of character that you need to (THINK) when you're Playing her
I'm Also Thinking About getting her and her lightcone when her first rerun drops.
Plus I have Firefly E0S0 (I lost her lightcone 🥲) but it's okay I have on the fall of an aeon S5 So it's okay, as for my other teams I have Jingliu (which I don't use her that much now) and Acheron E0S1 I don't have boothill cuz Firefly AND ruanmei were coming soo.
As for jiaoqiu I'm going to wait for the Version 2.5 livestream, if the new 3 rerun characters banner is coming as the leakers predicted which is (Kafka, black swan,robin) after that I'll decide if I will be pulling for him
As for Feixiao I will see if she gets better or worse after beta V4,V5 then I will decide,I'm Glad that we think alike 😌.

Do you think that I need/should pull for Sparkle ?? I honestly like her design and personality
I have ruanmei bronya tingyun E3 and robin when she gets her rerun (which is not far by)

@@乃乇卂爪_0 Yeah Yunli (and really any DPS for me) I don't want to skip out on their LC. Just because it's a pain to have to pass an LC around. My FF is using Aeon because I don't use Jingliu anymore. But I really do wish I'd grabbed JL's LC (tried on rerun and it didn't come home.)
I don't really think you need Sparkle. From what I know she's primarily ran on an Acheron team or DHIL team. The only other one I can think of is mono quantam for Seele. Bronya AFAIK is a better support for JL than Sparkle is. Personally I avoided sparkle not just because I don't like the character but because to get the most value out of her you need to speed tune her.
Bronya speed tuning does exist but doesn't matter "as" much because her action forward is 100%. So unless you're going for very degenerate things like a Bronya+Robin team you don't have to think about speed tuning Bronya. I hate relic grinding so speed tuning is something I'm never going to do. So there's just actually no reason for me to take Sparkle unless I ever get DHIL E2S1. Which is never happening.
@@mongrelshadow14 you convinced me now that I think about it I don't even have DHIL nor Selee 😅 so I'm gonna skip her I have my Bronya and I'm okay with her.
As for relic grinding Yeah I feel you it's such a pain and sometimes It takes WEEKS just to find the best substats for a Single character same goes for speed tuning 💀.

I'm really thorn between him and the possible Robin rerun... It would be easier if I had Acheron, but without her I fell like I would be pulling just because I like him and not for my account. But you never know if he's gonna be the best for future characters, also...
robin is better for more characters than jiaoqiu, e2 acheron is best for jiaoqiu to maximize dmg but if you want an all around unit robin is better

Ay liked the vid. I got Jiaoqiu for the same reason - I love vertical investment. It's my idea of fun lol. Not as much as you tho, cuz I don't think I could save for 5 months 😂 props to you. Also, love how you're being defiant when talking about eidolons hahaha you're right, it shouldn't be a taboo, especially when talking about one's own pulling decisions and it's consistent with the philosophy of vertical investment, although personally I'm afraid of eidolons making the game too easy for me

I did 90 pulls on Hanabi rerun (I had her E0S1 on her original run, was aiming for E2 this time) and lost 50/50 at 75 pulls to ice boy, then got double Hanabi. Saving for E1S1 Lingsha now
niceeeeee are you seeing huge difference in damage now with e2? mine is E1 now and i could get a second copy of her for E2 but i still havent pulled
@John-wt2xq unfortunately, I haven't tried mine out, but a few friends of mine already had her at E2+ and theirs did noticeably more damage
I have E0S1 Jiaoqiu and hope getting him to E1. Hes sooo good ahh! He helped me clear the 4th Stage of the current Pure Fiction with max point. 💜
I can't even hold those tickets for more than 1 patch. I just spent 70 pulls on sparkle lc just because I feel itchy for pulling😅

Jiaoqiu is also very good against bosses like Argenti. After I got him, I built him and used him against Argenti in Yunli's companion mission. The fox was the MVP. He burned all of Argenti's statues and DeBuffed him into oblivion.
Pulled the LC fot the DoT support dmg. Swan + his LC is so good
Im wondering how JQ compares to Robin outside of the action advance for either an Acheron e0 team or a yunli team .
I really need someone that does what Robin does but i really just dont find her interesting (or like her ult song). JQ does the opposite of Robin but im curious how they compare percentage wise.
I feel you, same thing happened to me, lost to that terror of a child, then had to go to soft pity again. The pain, the suffering!
I also pulled for him and I got him e0s1. I hit pit for him but I got his LC in less than 20 pulls. But he was clearly nerfed as he doesn't inflict severe diarrhea on my enemies like he does in March's event.

I zero cycled WITH a sustain (Aventurine) for the first time ever on my account. Granted, my Acheron is E2S1, but she can now literally ult every turn. I feel like Robin, QPQ Gallagher, JQ, Acheron is probably the strongest team in the game

Im at 73 pulls into character banner with a guarantee... I was at 63 and did a 10pull on sparkle to try and get the e2 I missed last time... but now im hesitant to commit to it, and debating fox boy, and also debating on the "new" updated leaks for feixiao even tho her e2 is much worse...
My problem rn is I started late and vertically invested heavily... I only have 6 limited, but lots of eidolons and signature LC's but one of those 6 is a boothill I got lucky on and dont use... (I have ffe2s1, got her rme0s0 because I really dislike rm personality wise) but yeah, Acheron(e6s1) is popping tf off with sparkle on one side, and aven(e0s1)and ghallager bounce back and forth
Honestly not sure if I want to upgrade my acheron team when it just nukes everything rn... rather then start a new team, but because of my limited units, starting a new team means multiple characters needed most likely

jiaoqiu literally fixes all the debuffers problems, it's debuff uptime and having to reapply debuffs, at e0s0, I always have ult with him still having 1 turn for his debuffs
I would think this is weird after skipping basically everyday, but he said he's a hyper carry min maxer so it's expected that he would prefer characters that make other characters strong

My e0 s0 Acheron with robin, JQ and Gallagher is doing pretty great im shooketh because im not even using 2 nihility robin team wide forward is insane now i just gonna pull for acheron lc and robin e1 since robin is so universal.

Only reason why he is a great is? He can join in with Sparkle as extra buff.

That's why is not worth it to pull but all of has own opinion if you like it pull for it.
Conseption of Hoyoverse is for us to make stability teammates for one character to push forward with nerfs of fave character and yet moving into Ideolons by our cash. To keep the level of power thats how meta players has out.
Isn’t 35% vulnerability better than 42% def down? 35 vulnerability should be a 35% damage increase where 42 def down should be around 30% damage increase, right? I got this info from pokee’s video about the diff of def down and vulnerability
I'm not a math person esp for this game but the difference between the two is Vuln hits diminishing returns where as Def down gets stronger the more you stack it. The actual effect is basically the same. It's just how the game handles stacking/multipliers for those things.
@@mongrelshadow14 I’m pretty sure vulnerability is always a 1:1 damage increase. 10% vulnerability gives 10% more damage 120% vulnerability should also give 120% damage increase. Def down is more potent from 90-100% though

I was hesitant on getting him after not being able to bruteforce with Acheron on Apocalyptic Shadow, but I'm glad I got him yesterday.
Yeah i was wondering about investing more into Acheron as she feeling kinda weak in all endgame right compared to followup team and superbreak, but all she needed was better supports.

Decent but Firefly has already her best team. Plus Lingsha could replace Gallagher
@@YouryCh. Lingsha does not replace Gally on Super break teams. Her break is not as good as his and he is SP + She struggles to be SP neutral. The thing she has over Gally is personal damage, which FF does not need as her and HMC do enough damage as is.
Her break was buffed so she is definitely better than Gallagher now.

Yup, that's the main reason why JQ won't be on her BiS team despite a decent amount of her damage is from ult. She really wants characters who take a lot of actions.

w vid, i considered pulling him but my acheron is e0s0 and i honestly dont like her all that much. seele is my fav character and i have her e1s1, so i went with e0s1 sparkle for mono quantum since i have fu xuan and silver wolf, even tho i have e2s0 bronya.
additionally, i dont like gallagher at all so i might go e0s0 lingsha cuz her design is awesome and i dont have a premium sustain besides fu xuan.
wish i had your discipline and patience with saving though, it took everything in me to not pull yunli, which wouldve been crazy because im not all that interested in fua/counter playstyle😭
