Hi there I’ve come back to this video because I ordered and have received the products on your list. My questions for you is now that you have been using this new regime for a few months, have you made further adjustments? How have your orchids reacted to the new recipe?
Blanca; I realize your orchids are close to your living area, so you may not want to use this... but.. I'm a believer in Fish Emulsion.. the formula is only 5-1-1 so it shouldn't cause any harm especially for the Vanda's. Thought's ?

ive been using orchidcote 13.13.13. and I water my vandas everyday sometimes 2 times daily but ive ordered a fish and kelp fertilizer so when it comes ill be using it once a week, ill see how that goes
Hi Blanca, always looking forward to watch your videos. You have so beautiful and healthy Orchids. I have couple of Phal, I am struggling to take care of them. I soaked phal in fertilizer with it's container for a day that started to rot the root after 2 days (watched video from another care taker). Any suggestions? Thanks! Happy Mother's Day!
Pra thima oh wow! Sorry to hear that. I don’t soak any of my orchids. I just fertilize them like you see in this video. Too much water will rot the Phals 😞 i hope it bounces back. They are strong and will get better.

hi, I'm also in FL, not far from you. Just to clarify, do you water your potted orchids once a week in addition to the weekly watering with fertilizer? are all your potted orchids in bark? TIA
Hi Laura, sorry I missed this comment. In the summer I’m watering more frequently. I usually water my potted orchids once a week when I fertilize. Now In the summer since it’s so hot I water in between feeding. I’ll do an extra watering depending on the orchids. Oncidiums, Catasetums and others that prefer a moist media I water like on a Wednesday or Thursday and then I water again on Sunday when I feed them. Play it by ear. If the media is dry water a little bit. That should be enough and then when you fertilize them give them a good soak. I just uploaded a video on my summer watering routine. Hope this information is helpful 🙂
Sheila Broad my hose water is not really cold... very hot in south Florida sometimes that waster is scorching hot. I’ve Never had an issue with my water temperature. 😊🌸

Zady Ebanks hi!! Thank you!! You can actually see a video I posted and featured my Maxis in bloom. It’s in my March Update. Right now the blooms are gone but she gets featured there. This year I got 14 blooms from them.
I've found a couple of new products I'm trying. Both are from Blue Planet (they have their own website and they are available on Amazon as well). The first is a dry seaweed called Easy Weed, so you don't have the mess of the liquid or the smell and a little of it goes a looooong way. I do recommend it when your liquid runs out. The second is called CalMag Pro, which gives the plants nitrogen, calcium and magnesium (Mg is what you get from epsom salts) and a number of other micronutrients. Blue Planet says the CalMag Pro doesn't cause salt buildup in the pots, we'll see, so far so good I'll keep you posted on it.
@@blancasorchidgarden no need to change your routine yet. (although I do _really_ like the powdered seaweed) Oh yeah, start watching your Phals from Peter Lin. My Phal bellina 'Red Apple' is just starting to push a spike, so yours should start doing something.
I use "Grow More" 20-10-20 Urea-free Orchid Food and MSU Rainwater/RO formula; it supplies all the macros and micros between the two. P.S.: the micros are chelated in the Grow More, so you can use it as a foliar, which is useful if you have other plants 😊
I also use the Grow More, but it is one you need to supplement because it is missing some elements. Most notably, calcium and magnesium but also sulfur and molybdenum. The latter two aren't as important but you definitely need the Ca and Mg.

With all your orchids you really need a small Green House.It will be your happy place😊
