Long time watcher, first (maybe second) time commenting. Sometimes I watch your videos just for the love of plants and gardening. But more recently I feel like I'm watching it more for the family content, just joy and love and such a positive example. Single dad here, almost in tears at something as simple as watching your little one look at spiders and cut her own flowers. Thanks for making these. I live so far south I can't grow alot of what you do but still learn so much about gardening and design, and although I'm sure it's not your intention or goal, you've also taught me alot about parenting. Thank you

The boxwood are going to take the flower garden to the next level. Making it more a formal area with the seating. It will be amazing. How wonderful to have a warm area basically outside,tho it's the greenhouse to let the kids play,the sound of water and not freezing but warm and cozy sitting with warm drinks, yes you will create another special area that gets you out of the house, and yet you can do some planting seeds or young plants for next year's gardening. Love the Holly Hocks coming up voluntarily in the green house,wondering if you will transplant them into one of the gardens? I love the new varieties of colors with double blooms.
It only gets better. I think I can say we all love her family. I can so relate to them. And though I don’t know her personally. I know there is no pretense. She is herself and gets right in there and does the hard work. She has a strong family network.
Yes, I watch GA reruns on Saturdays and anythime I miss my family since most are gone. Truly helps❤Bless you and your heart❤

My grandfather was the one who taught me about roses and all his tips and tricks. My roses are beautiful because of him. Every time I am out in the yard working with the roses, I think of him. So blessed.

Miss Samantha making her choices for her bouquet, practicing those fine motor skills, what a way to spend a childhood! I love how the kiddos are so confident and just dive in to help on whatever is going on. Reminds me of my mine were younger. (Except the spider no way would my daughter be any where near that guy!) I have always appreciated that you've always said "if you don't love something in your garden, remove it." Excited the new boxwood and trees.
I think that it is a very wasteful way to look at things. So many people do not have the means that Laura has and to see so many plants going to waste is very concerning to me. Yes she try to explain it away by saying that it is going to homes where people will appreciate it, however why buy it in the first place?

I love seeing Samantha Grace dig and play in the soil. My daughter when she was young splashed in every water puddle, dug in lose dirt and loved to go barefoot in the grass. She picked all the flower weeds and made bouquets.

I love how you change things up. Big gardens like that are great for veggies or growing things where you don't want to see what's in the centre. For year round interest something along the edge closest to the road and a few trees is a great idea and once those large trees grow, the shade will be so nice.
I love that the cats follow you all over the property! Beautiful cats. Can't wait to see the new onfiguration next year where you had the cut garden, many exciting plans! They dream stream is so beautiful, come spring it will be a show place!
Laura, your patience with your kids “helping and copying what you do “ is so impressive.. I wish I had had more of that from my mom growing up. I would have enjoyed doing chores soooo much more. Now as an old person I have missed out on so many experiences because I just saw them as work. My gardens have become my joy because of you (and my Dad), but I am partially disabled and can’t do everything I want. I really had to tell myself NO this year each time a PW Direct hit my email because I have planted about all I can except bulbs. 😅 You are such an inspiration!😊

It’s so fun to see your sweet kiddos in your videos more and more. You’re obviously as wonderful of a mama as you are a gardener. ❤ And Russell… I think he’s part dog. 🤭 Question! When you install a concrete pad under the south garden fountain, have you considered having it extend out from under it to give a bit of separation from the grass? Or maybe a ring of pavers or drain rock? For some reason I think that would make the fountain even more stately and eye-catching. Almost like how a photo is enhanced by a mat between it and the picture frame. ❤

Rose gardens are lovely to wander through when at their best: Both mono-colour and multi-colour. But shine so bright solo, in borders, where they can show off their blooms and perfume independent of competition. The new formal garden format though!!! So excited to watch the reveal being revealed.

Samantha is becoming such a great helper! I love her independence and her spark. How many of us wish we could take advantage of Laura's garden cleanse! Sharing plants with friends brings so much joy. The plant that no longer fits in my garden, gives pleasure to someone else. Then I have more room. It's a win win. Looking forward to seeing how you rework your cut flower bed. You keep it fresh!

Your vision for that space is going to end up amazing and we never doubt you for a second however, it must be very difficult to dig out or pull up the things that are already rooted into the ground. I am learning through you that change is good and you might end up going from liking a space to love loving it.

In Italy huge nets are used to collect the olives under the tress during harvest. I would think that that size netting would work well on your pond.
