@@that70sgirl90 Yes, it is. I have no idea why they did this song twice on the show, but maybe it was popular in their nightclub act. This channel often posts multiple performances of the same song on different episodes.
@@TomElvisSmith My thoughts are, there are so many videos that weren't shown yet, I would like to see those too. Then go back and show the those that are a different video, but the same song. I shouldn't complain. This isn't my rodeo. " You get what you get and you don't get upset." It's just when there's a time frame involved, you want to show the most videos. Thank you replying. 💖
This song was never even recorded or released by The Platters. With all the great records this group had, it seems quite strange that they'd choose to perform this song live in national television. 🤔
Platters could sing a perfect blues and rythm song and master it but in rock and rolls they couldn't do that much .....soft music bands were never good at hard strroll rock and roll songs
Ну я не знаюууу....это непередаваемое зрелище!
Высший пилотаж! Умнички!
Great slapping and dancing.
Now that is music
Thank you Ed Sullivan and thank you You Tube, allowing us to see wonderful performances for the first time. Fantastic!
.
What an awesome group.
Excellent showmanship..
Thank you for sharing this. This was really energetic and fun to watch. I love The Platters! They were excellent dancers too.
Simplement génial!
so funny ! hahaha ! this is rock&roll ! great !
Excelentes.
Siempre lo fueron.
Something besides dancing is going on here!
Highly unusual tune for them. Female response to “Work with me Annie” by Hank Ballard. I saw and met Herb Reed who Zola sings to.
Notice how they sanged both versions giving light to both versions that was cool
Please post the Platters singing the beautiful "Remember When" on this episode. This was their last appearance on the Sullivan show.
Isn't this the same song they did before, just a different video?
@@that70sgirl90 yep
@@recordguy4321 Not that I'm complaining, but It would've been nice to see something different.

I agree!!
Класс!!! Супер! Зола мужику всю морду разбила. Но музыка просто прелесть!!!!
They could use a nice biopic. They were trailblazers.
👑💛🌹
Quero um milkshake... de chocolate!!
I young Etta James actually wrote this ❤😊
Doesn't get any better!
I woulda given Frankie Lymon a run for his $ in regards to Zola.
Etta James, you mean?
She really slaps Herb in this one!
@@DOOWOPTRB I remembered you telling me about this the other day! Lol
@@jerrypriessen8137 No, Zola Taylor. She and Frankie Lymon were an item.
@@AustinCasey aha, that's what you meant 😁
That slap was kind of sexy 😍😊 Lol Zola is pretty anyway 💜💯
You can sure tell she enjoys slapping him lol
That was all in the song play
Zola was really hot!

*༺🌺༻Zola Taylor! ..Șίɱριεɱεɴτε Bειιa...༺🌺༻..*
Odd. She doesn't look like Halle Berry at all.
She sings too fast, and she's singing it like "Hen-er-ie", and not "Hen-ry".
it's a lousy version of Etta James's song. The best part is the jitterbuggin
Back then you had to sing fast call you were black ....
