On the topic of future tanks; I'd just do a diorama base.
When people ask where the tank is I'll just say "it's there but has adaptive camouflage fitted."

It's a great idea to just have some fun and go wild on a model. I think I personally (and surely many other modelers) often obsess over making everything as perfect and realistic as possible and forget to just have fun or experiment sometimes.

Your so right it's your model do it however you want. Modeling is suppose to be about having fun. People get way to carried away sometimes about everything having to be exactly historically accurate. I personally don't care I do it to have fun and relax. Loved the video hope you and your family are doing great.

I'm unreasonably gratified that you took my suggestion of bare or even chromed metal seriously. It does look cool and simultaneously creepily reminiscent of Terminator.

That is a pretty cool idea. I think I'll do a Panther with blue and orange for the Denver Broncos. That would look sick sitting on the shelf.

I’ve always wanted t build this tank, and make like a 6 color splinter camo
I made that kit about 2 months ago. Very straight forward, no challenges and a great first kit from Takom. I did the Aztec paint job which made the model look awesome.
My favourite part is the painting and weathering... and this looks like a great kit for that reason, cool EVH/various camo schemes, thanks for sharing!

Will Thorson. NATO 3 colour camo is not based on ww2 German camo. If anything there are Russian and American camo examples from ww2 that are a closer match than the late war German 3 colour camo.

Awesome video of an even awesomer tank!!! Have this kit and am working on it. Have mostly completely built, but got stuck at the paint job - just cannot make up mind how I want this thing painted!! When I received the kit via mail, once opened the box I was literally dumb-founded as to how few parts there are to this kit. Actually had to do an inventory just to make sure I had everything for the box is way bigger than what is needed for so few parts sprue's - everything was present. Nice to built a model kit of a modern armored vehicle (or any era) without a ga-billion parts!!

Nice to see a tread sag template. My 1st armor kit was the takom leopard c2 with mexas and the individual tracks nearly drove me crazy. Blessing in disguise though as i love its posability/flexibility, plus all other armor tracks now seemed a walk in the part with simpler track types.

When I saw Van Halen on their 1984 Tour, I think Eddie had the red "Frankenstrat"guitar. Very cool paint on that tank!

thanks for the cool build! Model building should be about relaxation, and having fun, taking chances and being DIFFERENT now and then! This looks like a really fun simple kit to get even some of us non armor builders interested! I loved the black on white winter scheme, would go great in a simple diorama with some modern 1/35 scale figures. Keep on building, and be safe!

The winter paint job looks like a navy camouflage that I can not remember the name of but it's meant to act like zebra camouflage so that you can't tell where the ship begins or ends or even what direction it's going in. The chrome just reminds me of Megatron lol.
One name for the Navy camo like that was "dazzle".
This makes me want to finally get the Bandai hard graph sci-fi tank with the twin turrets.

The British Berlin urban cameo pattern if you want to do something similar.
I'd paint a red strip along the turret make it look like a very early mark of cylon raider.
Do you think some buyeble traka (rubber, metal or plastik ) will fit to this tank? I donk know - T-72 or panzer iv?

I find masking the clear windows 1mm smaller than the windows, before installation helps if you have sausage fingers.

Why oh why haven't they figured out snap together individual links for more kits... The Orochi M2 Bradley has similar track style and it's snap together and they made like 1 kit...

It looks sinister in black suede. Adaptive camo could be done using photograph decals of the diorama for each panel. The pics used could be sharp and crisp, or slightly out of focus. Of course the diorama would have to be completed first.
