- Oh. My. God. One Aventador firing out flames is cool, but two is just EPIC! Two of Lamborghini's V12 beasts were in London together visiting Harrods when they decided to create a lot of drama upon their exits.
Here's the action as they hit the streets in one of the most immense rev battles I've ever heard, with bonus fire, and more fire, and a bit more...! The cars themselves are Aventadors from www.platinumet.... exotic rentals.

Can someone explain why the engines of exotic cars pop and misfire upon releasing the throttle? I've even noticed non-sports cars occasionally do that too, after revving to high RPM's and then releasing the throttle. Cars that seem to have decently tuned and timed engines. Just wondering. I'm not very knowledgeable about cars so please forgive my ignorance!
In supercars, if you constantly rev to high RPMs, there is fuel being injected into the engine. However, if you pump the rev-line, like they are doing, lots of the pumped fuel is sent out the engine (more is going in than needed due to stepping on accelerator at short intervals), hence the heat building up in the exhaust ignites the fuel on its way out. That's the way I've heard anyway.
feul is normally verry cold. So if you are driving a super car they use feul to cool your engine when you release the trottle when entering a corner or something. So when you hit the gas after that there is is some feul left in your exhaust.. That is is the reason that you see flames from the exhaust at car races... they are just cooling down the extrem engine temperarture.. But what they doing at this video is just terrible.... Not one car at this world like this kind of torture... Poor lamboos....

It's to dump the fuel from the fuel lines out because at high rev you will have high pressure in the fuel line to feed the engine. Once you lift off, your engine will lower in rev (duh) thus needing less fuel. If the rate of decrease in the engine rev is quicker then that of the rate of discharge from the fuel line it will dump the fuel into the exhaust to prevent the engine's mixture from being to rich; thus equalising the pressure at a quicker rate. Though this is the method in most high performance engines, I am not 100% sure Lamborghini would do this (would be surprised if they don't but there is always a chance I am wrong).
