Our personal story

My wife Lori and myself sold our home and our business in Hawaii and in 2006 we became homeless. Our goal was to travel around the world and "living the good life" are basic philosophy is
Fly First Class but PAY Coach Price "
We have enjoy our world tour of 37 countries in the last 25 years. In 2012 we returned back to the big Island of Hawaii and bought a small cottage. For 2 Years we using Hawaii as our home-base.
I,m from San Luis Potosí and it’s all this and more that’s the historical centro but there are also modern malls, movie theaters, Costco, Sam’s Club and anything a big city has to offer
Thank you guys for sharing,I'm a Potosino myself living in Louisiana and you guys make me feel so happy that you enjoy my home town as I never did, Good bless you! 😍
Thanks for sharing!!
so if a 62 year old man like myself that does not speak any spanish and wants to retire early next year and live off of my social security and just maybe work 2 or 3 days a week and play Disc Golf everyday...I suppose it's very expensive to live there if I wanted to rent a small apartment?
LORI IS DOING SO GREAT, I AM HAPPY FOR HER.
Me too😊
Good to see the previous Governor of California is doing well and traveling Mexico.
Wow. What beautiful architecture 👍🇲🇽
Make the RUclips video en Valladolid Yucatan Mexico
Are you in Valladolid Yucatan Mexico
After watching your videos, I keep having to add more cities to our Mexico itinerary. 😍
What a beautiful city! I love your bloopers.... glad I'm not the only one who gets tongue tied sometimes. 😄
Thanks Jerry Brown and Lori... Spectacular, awesome and beautiful video! I loved it! Yes, SLP is a hidden jewel of MX. It was one of Tao of David's favorites and he visited there multiple times and always raved about it.
I've seen all the SLP videos by Tao of David and The Two Travelers in Mexico, have seen the Centro de las Artes and Leonora Carrington before, but never heard of the Museo Federico Silva.
You show some very lovely sights I've not seen there before and your descriptions of the places were awesome. I didn't realize SLP is a World Heritage Sight! Those Costanzo's chocolates are supposed to be fantastic and were favorites with Tao of David. I really want to visit SLP as well, and it's on my bucket list for Mexico. Lori's yellow skirt was stunning on her!
I'm curious if you had an opportunity to meet Marc and Paulette of The Two Travelers in Mexico? Thanks!
Thank You Makas thank you for your comment a few months back Two Travelers in Mexico we're here in Mexico and we had set up an appointment to meet them but I think one of them got sick and they needed to leave so we were not able to meet up with them. Keep doing what you do it's appreciated by all.
What a beautiful video! What a fascinating city! I haven't been there since 1969, and it was only briefly. This would be a nice place to live!
Bob I imagine when you went there it must've been such a contrast in your normal day-to-day life to see such a beautiful colonial city. I think it's only gotten better and better and better over the years.
Wow. Very good video Jerry. You both look great 👍. Blessings.
Hilda thank you for being a subscriber for four years now you are the greatest and keep doing what you do it's appreciated by all.
My beautiful town! Thank you, guys, for the video it really is a town to enjoy, lots of places to go, museums, restaurants. Old beautiful houses converted into nightclubs and so many amenities! I love to go visit as much as I can, 4 times a year. Thank you again!
Our pleasure! We feel and think that is the most beautiful city that we have visited.
Thanks Jerry and Lori Beautiful architecture and history. Thanks for taking us with you. Cool blooper. Wide sidewalks for sure Excellente.
I wanted to show this specifically for you I know how much you love Mexico.
@@JerryBrownTravels Thanks to you both for taking us all over to many parts we’ve never seen before. You both have much respect for the Mexican culture and the beauty of it all. 👍🇲🇽

First I wanna say thank you for subscribing for over five years now or next time you get here let us know we'd love to meet up with you.
Watch those roads that the authorities are warning against.
Jerry in your way San Luis, you bypassed Los Altos de Jalisco, in that region you can find true arquitectural gems including the best ones, San Miguel El Alto and Lagos de Moreno, they are two very inexpensive and autentically Mexican towns...a joy to visit their historic center..greetings fron Sauthern Ca.
Thank you for those tips I will put them on the list. Keep them coming.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the maps in your videos. :)
I like your shirt Jerry.
I like Jerry and Lori!
@Malibu Merle What are your feelings about living in GDL? Do you live in Colonia Americana or Monraz? What is the style or origin of the shirts etc. that Jerry has?
Thank you for your compliment it's another shirt that Lori has created for me.
I definitely like Colonia Americana Guadalajara
@Malibu Merle Too late for me. I am 67 and my wife is 64. ;-) I want to go to GDL!
Are you two looking for a new place to call home base? ( Due to water issues in Ajijic/Lake Chapala area)
At this time we're not looking for a new place to relocate.
Ha ha, For some reason, San Luis Potosi doesn't roll off my tongue very easily either. 🤷♀
Hola! Vivo en SLP--BIENVENIDOS 😂
We go to San Luis Potosí 4 times a year while on vacation, an interesting part of Mexico. First time my wife and I drove there was from Texas 2007 before moving to Mexico fulltime, lots of growth over the years there.
Rod thank you for your comment you must love it to visit it is me times as you have and we know we'll be going back there also.
What do you guys do for a living. S l p is my my moms hometown she wants to move back after 6o years in America.
Jerry, I think you would love San Luís Obispo, on the California coast, between L.A. and S.F. Most Americans call it San Louis Obispo, just like your San Louis Potosí or San Juan Potosí. I grew up there and thought that was the way it was pronounced. I only learned the correct pronunciation after I started studying Spanish. In California, we have so many towns with Spanish names whose pronunciation is massacred. You should hear the way places like San Rafael, Lagunitas, Corte Madera, El Cajón, Vallejo (Valley Joe), Yerba Buena, and El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula. I can't blame people for calling it LA.
Thank you for that comment and you've got me curious I'm gonna check it out for myself. And thank you for being a subscriber for two years now
San Luis is an incredibly inexpensive town. We have a home in Pozos
Now that we are on the six months travel through Mexico we are noticing throughout Mexico things are a lot more expensive rooms that we used to be able to get for $45 or $70 now.
How you been to go en Mazatlan Sinaloa Mexico
My home away from home
K temperatura tendrá está hermosa ciudad

The food also looks very good too 😊😋
We were very happy with the food and the people were so kind.
Are you all skipped out loved your video
Beautiful city ,, I put it on my list,,, would be great to see if there is an expat community and homes for rent,,, all the best,,,
I did not see any ex-pats living there there is a lot of development outside of the city but I'm not sure if it's really for ex-pats and I don't think so.
I love both of your clothes. Can you tell me if you felt safe driving the 4 1/2 hours to get there from Ajijic. I love this video and being introduced to San louis potosi
That's an interesting question we've actually driven through Mexico many times and have never had any problems at all.
👍👍
Another great video, but I am NOT booking a consultation, I'll save for retirement 😀
Yes definitely save your money for your retirement just pile up as much money as you can. When you really get close to retirement then we can have the phone consultation I know I can help you with concepts of your financing and ways of stretching your money.
@@JerryBrownTravels I’m 63, wife is 61, we have been retired for 10 years, I might just need your services if we decide to you to your area
Just say SLP
Jerry, can you correct your title? Instead of San Louis (possibly confusing with St. Louis, Missouri) put San Luís. Some viewers might actually think that is the correct name.
Thank you Ray I will make that correction.
@@JerryBrownTravels Thank you Jerry. I see the correction right now. You are doing a great job and I enjoy your videos.
Good to see the previous Governor of California is doing well and traveling Mexico.
