    Yahooo...there's Otis!!! I'll just keep busy and out of your way with this stick! lol The moss on that tree is amazing! Otis is growing fast and looks as though he is keeping amazingly close for a pup! Great work...and have a wonderful week! Bruce and Otis

      He's great Bruce. He eats pretty much anything while we're out, but other than that he's a really good dog. I got a few shots of that tree, but the light was a bit harsh and I didn't think they were good enough to make it into the video. Maybe one I need to revisit. Thanks for watching. 😊

      @@Robert-Bishop Oh dear, my Otis is death on paper and twigs...always passing sawdust of some sort through his system. lol

    Langsett reservoir is a new one on me, just had a looks and see it's right over the other side from me, guess it's a fairly quick drive from your end - nice to see something from that side of the PD. Looks an interesting place with those rocks jutting up, making for some really cool foreground, the fisheye gave them a nice 'looming' feel. Really liked the shot you had on your desktop screen at the end there and the shot at 7:50

      Cheers Dave. Yeah, it's the Strines area, only about 20mins for me. Some nice little areas here and there. Batty's Lathe is just a bit further south and worth a visit. Thanks for watching mate. 😊

    Thank you for this review! And especially thanks for showing how to set the non-CPU lens setting. I wasn't aware of that setting.

    Thanks for sharing your experience with great results... Although I don't have any fish-eye lens, I do use a 12-24 Tokina lens on my Nikon D500..... Very interesting video & gives me ideas for adding to my photography even though I am only a hobbyist... cheers from Australia 😀

      Thanks Robert, they certainly have their uses and can be a fun change to using a regular wide angle. Great for weird and wonderful portraits too! Thanks for watching. 😊

    That’s a nice part of the peaks. Massive reservoir. The lens itself looks like a good strong lens and for £200+ it’s not bad price. It really made them rocks look a lot bigger that what they are. Great video and nice to see more of the peaks

      Cheers Paul. Yeah, I guess not having the electronics and autofocus really brings the cost down, but you really don't need it with this lens. Thanks for giving it a watch. 😊

    Looks a fun lens Robert. Would you say it’s worth a look if you already have an ultra wide 14-30?

    • @Robert-Bishop
      @Robert-Bishop  2 года назад

      Yeah, definitely Terry. So much wider, and you get that distorted effect that you don't get with the 14-30. 😊

    Great video and location Robert! I had never seen anyone do a video from there before. Some really good shots from this 10mm fisheye and not a bad purchase at that price. Love the one of Otis up on the rocks. I used to use a 8mm Rokinon fish eye with my old Nikon D3200 and got some fantastic shots with it although the distortion at 8mm was a bit crazy sometimes. Definitely cool to use lenses like this from time to time to give a bit of creative spark. Really enjoyed the video and images mate!

      Thanks Paul - yeah, nice to mix it up now and then. I haven't used the Rokinon, but did give the Nikon one a go and I think that's 8mm. I like doing portrait shots with the crazy distortion! Thanks for watching mate. 😊

    Looks like you have your hands full with Otis. I have a crazy 6.5mm Opteka (for APSC) which you have to be careful not to get your feet into the shot, 10mm sounds a bit more sensible. Great images, the lens works really well with the standing stones.

    • @Robert-Bishop
      @Robert-Bishop  2 года назад +1

      Cheers Andrew. Not seen the Opteka one before. I think 6.5 with the crop sensor would be a roughly equivalent field of view to the 10mm on full frame. Pretty crazy stuff - definitely want to give astro a go with it. Cheers for watching. 😊

    Well I got one used and I'm sure you've since found the coma levels are low and it's more than adequate for astrophotography. Nice saturated colours too.

      Astro is something I don't make enough time for but when I do finally get around to it, I'll certainly be testing this lens out for the job. Thanks for watching. 😊

      A fisheye is really easy and quick needing no tracking and at f4 you get the best results with both stars and foreground.
