"Title Screen" (Pokemon 1st Gen) LIVE Jazz Cover // J-MUSIC Pocket Band
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 16 окт 2019
- Our live cover of the "Title Screen" music from the 1st generation of Pokemon games (Red/Green/Blue), originally composed by Junichi Masuda. This arrangement by Patrick Bartley.
Where did the best-selling, arguably most influential, pocket RPG series of all time have its roots? Pokemon Red and Green, of course. Aaaand, where did the arguably most influential music style/culture/genre of the modern era have its roots? Down in New Orleans! We're talking about jazz, of course, and what better way to pay a jazz tribute to the origins of Pokemon than to inject some second line flavor into the mix? We've had this one in the arsenal for about a year, and we like to open up our con shows by parading in with this! Everybody gets a piece of this, too, with festive solos from the Sax, Trumpet, Accordion, and Vibes, bringing it home with a drum solo a la Bourbon Street. There's a whole lot to get into with this one - So don't be a Slowpoke! Go grab some Raichu Red Beans and Rice, some Butterfree Bourbon, and let's kick off this Jolteon Jamboree! 'Cause there ain't nothin' like a good ol' Magnemite Mardi Gras...

Ok I'll stop.
xd
This music bops so hard it woke up my Snorlax and now he won't stop doing the Charleston.
lol thats funny to imagine
Lol
I would love to see an Snorlax doing the Charleston
J-MUSIC Ensemble used Nostalgia!
It's SUPER EFFECTIVE!
I’ve never bopped so hard in my life
Heather Anne I love this comment
I said the same think listening to special stage sonic 3
As a New Orleanean Pokemon nerd this is melting my brain! Amazing work!!
Awesome! Glad to hear that from someone down at the source!
In a land full of Pokemon, J-Music sets out on a journey to become the Pokemon Grandmasters of Jazz.
why didn't max wear his pokémon shirt.......
my disappointment is measurable and my day is slightly off
send my thanks to mr benjamin for wearing his nice hat
J-Music used Sunny Day! It's super effective! Brightened my day :)
8:18 The most metal jazz bass player I have ever seen!
TRUE!! Felt the same here bro
Man, I was like "Howwww are they gonna jazzify thiiis??" and then it happened
The original composition is aimed to be more epic and signifies the beginning of an adventure. This composition is very peppy and I love it, I was bouncing with the melody and was sad when it ended. Amazing work as usual boys!
Give the drummer some man! He held it down 👌
Damn this was nostalgic! I cant help but remembering all the times my charmander died in viridian forest due to poisoning 😭
Bro dancing my way around the crib to this one. Y'all clownin on this one bro!!!
YES
:milkbongo:
6 people are on team rocket
I'm just here cause Guiles Theme brought me to all their videos.
so this is what the patrons were hyping about :mariothinking:
The end of the drum solo had me emotional, cot dam
Dat cowbell handoff though
すごく楽しいアレンジだなぁ。とっても良い。
Damn, I wasn't expecting it to be THIS good. Sounds like it could be in a smash game if recorded in a studio and the drums were mixed to be super up-front and present
I know what you mean - would fit perfectly as bgm
You guys would be like music trainers in the Pokémon world. You’re Pokémon would probably be like chinglings and jigglypuffs and explouds and noiverns and such. Would be pretty sick.
Really hearing the Cannonball influence in Bartley's solo here!
You guys are rocking some hella nice outfits
I've never ran so fast to Prof. Oak...
Taking a fanfare/March and make into a 2nd Line tune, it seems like the obvious choice that I never would have thought of. I love it
God that description is amazing. You guys really go all out with those. XD
The arrangement is sick too! Jazz is super underappreciated when it comes to game music, and I’m glad more people outside of Insaneintherainmusic are coming out making fire stuff! You guys deserve way more recognition for what you guys do.
Don't forget about the 8-Bit Big Band; they're doing the same thing.
@@LeotheTiger1234 Yep! I learned about The Consouls, too! They’re just as good.
:Poyo:
wait still wrong game
Poyo is always acceptable
Although I never was into Pokemon like the rest of my friends, I do admit its soundtrack proves why video game music is some of the best music ever written. And it's even better the way you do it!
Bassist going absolutely in
Found this accidentally, but god damn am I glad that I did
J-MUSIC used second-line remix. It was super effective!
Loved the groove from the whole rhythm section.
Got that new Orleans vibe with it.
Dude. I'm from New Orleans. And this is a b o p. You freaking nailed the NOLA vibe! Excellent job! Please do more New Orleans covers in the future!
Everyone’s outfits are on point 👌
These guys just never cease to impress!
That bend at 5:05 was the point i lost it. Amazing.
love the cowbell
30 seconds in and I've already been royally punched in the nostalgia. Bless you guys for doing a cover of this ^_^
Get these bois in a Mardi Gras parade
Patrick Bartley just killed it on that one. You deserve wayyyy more subs.
The guy on the Cello is feeling it!
Goddamn, all of you guys are so damn good, you make me want to play accordion, sax, bass, drum, marimba, and trumpet all at once
Y'all are sooo talented! I'm loving your music so much!
I wish RUclips had recommended you to me years ago!
This is unspeakably amazing, thank you so much.
This is now my new favorite jam session
Wow, you really took us on a ride with this one. Awesome, jazzy and fun
Ohh yeah more pokemon jazz would be awesome!
This grooves like a mutha! 👌🏽
DOPE
This is AMAZING!! Thank you guys so much for bringing together my childhood memories and my current love of jazz! This is just so good!
TOTAL BANGER! I could not stop moving. Bravo. 🔥🔥🔥
The solos on this one were incredible!

I'm so sad that I missed this live, but this is an absolute bop. Awesome job as always 👌🏾🔥
裏打ちが心地よい。めっちゃ好き。
Amazing Band and song!
This is AMAZING!
This goes so hard!!! So inspired and now am a fan!
Amazing
If New Orleans was a Pokémon refuon
soo nice!
Such a wonderful performance. I’m curious about how you recorded this? Room mics, spots? That snare sounds crispy and everything is right there in the mix (though the vibes could’ve been turned up a hair).
wow
FINALMENTE SANFONA
楽しい🎉
At sometimes we can almost dance a forró with this song S2S2
Billie be bouncing at 7:10
Someone press Start already, damnit
* Ash's mom starts looking at you seductively...
This shit is HOT
Needs more cowbell ;)
Where can I see this in concert?
Hello
Who tf disliked this?
who are the other two besides Charizard? - Game Freak
my only qualm is that you did not play the original marching Rhythm at the beginning of the tune.
