Yeah, I've thought for a while how Doom compliments Iron Man perfectly. Almost to the point where I'm convinced the two should have been the real archenemies all along instead of the Mandarin for Iron Man and Doom for the Fantastic Four. Iron Man's red and gold perfectly opposes Doom's green and silver. Both are rich. Both are scientists that specialise in robotics. Both wear suits of armour. One lives in a warm, cosy mansion, while the other lives in a cold, gloomy castle. One is a handsome, galavanting, show-off while the other is a disfigured, isolated loner. And what makes Doom formidable for Iron Man is that he knows magic on top of science. The Mandarin is dope, but Doom just fits into Iron Man's rogues gallery so naturally.
Maybe and that's why he gave time stone to Thanos and saved Tony.If not he might survive endgame and at last he would become Doctor doom in sacred timeline
He saw up until the point they were defeated by Thanos or defeated Thanos themselves, he didn't see that far. But I don't expect Marvel fans to use more than one brain cell to think.
I really hope Tom Holland sticks around so we can get a scene where Peter hesitates fighting Doom as he looks like Tony. Not sure how if Doom’s face is damaged, maybe witnessing a photo or some recording?

Only way I can think that they can pull this off is by having him be Victor Von Doom and had work done to look like Tony Stark so that he can try and use Stark’s influence on the world to gain access to his money/power/tech.
