  • A selection of parts of dances from the Farthingale Grand Regency Ball and Supper at the Upper Assembly Rooms, Bath 2021. Separate to the Jane Austen Festival in Bath, but occurring at the same time. Unfortunately the final time for the Ball at this location.

That spry guy with white hair and stockings in the first dance was fun to watch.

Sorry, but I can help with only half of them. I identified them by the tunes, and I don’t know three of the tunes.
      1) ?
      2) The Queen’s Jig - It is being danced almost like the original, except a right-hand turn has been substituted for Sharp siding, probably because it is a bit easier. Here is a video of the original dance: www DOT youtube DOT com/watch?v=I_wsqCXszHQ
      3) The Hop Ground -- It sounds like the music (difficult to hear), and the A part has the same figures, but the B part goes off the rails. If it *is* The Hop Ground - totally different figures. Here is the traditional The Hop Ground: www DOT youtube DOT com/watch?v=-ZYAodA3NLo
      4) ?
      5) ?
      6) Trip to Tunbridge is the tune - the dance figures are totally different from the notation of the original, so the dance seen may be a modern one to the traditional tune. To see how different it is from the original, here is the original being danced: www DOT youtube DOT com/watch?v=YYHBiI6fQvc
