Maybe having Freya in the room with Buster would help. The kittens know her and are comfortable with her. See her interact with Buster possibly calm their fears.
Yes, anything would be better than the unnatural situation of closing all those felines into one small room and expecting miracles. Especially since they'd already 'met' through the door. Let them all have the run of the whole house and discover each other on their own terms. Cats figure out the pecking order quickly.

Main coons are especially chill. The ones I had were fine with other kittens, puppies, and took up sleeping in the crib with my son as a baby.
