We have two Siberian Cats. The girl is fairly normal sized at 14.5lb (4 years old). The boy weighs over 10lb at 6 months and won't stop growing until he is 5 years old. I think my food costs are going up!
The serval isn’t a cat. It was interesting to learn about them but shouldn’t be on this list. I’m even having trouble with the chausie, savannah and ashera. I mean, breeding a husky with a wolf still makes a wolf.

Norwegian Forest cats are very domesticated. Yes they are still a wild population in the Norwegian forest. As they are still a wild population of Siberian cat
During World War II, the Norwegian Forest cat was nearly extinct; then the Norwegian Forest Cat Club's breeding program increased the cat's number. It was registered as a breed with the European Fédération Internationale Féline in the 1970s - So you're telling me that 50 years of domestication aren't enough ? I met many and not one was as you describe them.
Norwegian forrest cats are nice and friendly, but they do mirror the society they live in. So if you live in a society where humans are not nice enough to cats, then they will pick up in that. (Takes several generations of niceness before cat society change opinions about humans. Attitude is past on through their mothers/parents). Norwegian forrest cats have their hunting and fighting instincts alive. So they CAN be mean if they feel mistreated etc. They will usually be loving towards their owner. But can be cautious against others (if live in a bad society). And i would be carefull about todler and very young children. Most cats would be somewhat forgiving to small children, because they understand it is the owners small children. But it is limit to level of patient they will have to being pulled by the tail etc. So friendly. Especially if in loving families. And even more lovely if in a society which cares about cats. But they can fight, and they can hunt. So they can be hard if they first snap. So obviously teavh the kids to not pull the cat tail etc. And let tge cat know/see that you stop the child if it tries to do such to the cat. (So the cat understand that you have control of the situations). And try to interact with both at same time. So they get good associations with eachother.
I have a Norwegian Forest cat. He's a huge chonker. I've always had larger than normal cats, but he's easily double the size of them. He can move VERY fast, too. He's about 17 pounds and doesn't know how to be a cat, so my elderly cat Jinx is teaching him. Jinx embodies the "I must scream at all times" attitude, and Mouse is copying it.
I've 6 cats, 1 a Siamese, another a very large black cat,and the others just your usual Aussie cats. I love all of these, especially the Serval and the very noble looking Maine coons. Beautiful 🥰💞
@@tresinforest2904 if you've room for 7, why not. I have 2 inside. Their both desexed but I keep them in. I have bought a big cage with a canvas cover for them to spend time outdoors. The other 6 are feral they come to me are fed by me. Pple have dumped them. I wouldn't have room in my small house for 7. 1 room now is full of cat climbers exc. but they need that stimulation if their inside as you'd know. Australias drowning today, with all this rain. 👋❤️💚
I have a GIANT kitty. She's a rescue, and came with her normal-size sister. I'm 5'3", and when the cat stands on her back feet, she comes up to my waist. She's also really chill and cuddly. We wonder if her dad was a ragdoll.
Had a Maine Coon as a child, she got BIG and I loved her more than anything on the planet; lived 17 years as one of the most loyal guard cats I ever seen to this day lol intimidated my Husky. Now I have a prissy clingy brat.
We had a norwegian Forrest cat when I was younger. We used to joke and say he was my big brother because he was born a year before me. He was quite tough in the younger years and the claws where out a lot. But when he got a bit older he was the sweetest thing ever. He was always around me and slept with me. If I remember correctly he weighed 13 kg and was pretty big and had big paws. Unfortunately he wasn't hit with cancer in the mouth and it wasn't much to do so unfortunately he passed away at 16 years old. (I was 15 at the time. Now I'm 20) still miss him. We have a new cat now (Also a Norwegian forest) that is 2 years old. Quite a fun one but not a cat who likes to cuddle
Mine is really timid. His brother used to beat him up all the time, and my coworker gave him to us because he couldn't take all his babies with him when he moved. He's a sweetheart, but he's a heavy boy. 17 pounds of fluff that loves flopping over onto you like a falling tree.
@@jeessii791 I know Crazy Cat has a jump on him and he would sit in front of the fridge wiggle his tail and cause the other cat to crash into the fridge in a failed attempt to attack his tail He would then look at them like he was calling them a dumb ass. I swear he was trying to assainate the other cats...
This is a helpful presentation, as I’m researching an intentional plan to adopt my next Kitty. Although I may likely just fun in love with a rescue, it’s fun to dream! Thank you!
I used to have a Ragdoll about 5 years ago, his name was Pooky, he had big blue eyes and looked like a white tiger, he was huge, and at once weighed 25 pounds, I had him for 12 years, but he suffered from seizures! Mostly because my landlord where I was living at the time used a cheap pest control company and though my roommate with her cat and I with Pooky, left the house for 10 hours, which was a bit longer then they said we had to be out of the house, the moment we got back my Pooky started having a seizure while still in his pet carrier! SO from then on up until his death, he would have seizures, which in the end was what killed him! I still miss him everyday too, he was my best friend and my baby all in one! And he never knew a stranger too, he was so outgoing and affectionate, that anyone could pick him up and hold him, as long as you weren't hurting him, he didn't care, and he loved to get his belly rubbed, and NEVER scratched or bite you while your doing it either, he would often lay stretched out on the floor on his back just waiting for someone to rub his tummy, but would also fall asleep like that, lol!
I have an inner draw to Maine Coons. Not sure why but I genuinely love that breed. I think it's also because their face reminds me of a Lion. Very lovely breed imo 🐝💕
I had an American shorthair red tabby cat that weighed 20 pounds for a long time. He was a big sweet and friendly cat. My family adopted him from being a stray cat. He was a wonderful cat and friend. He was more than my cat for the longest time. He did liked my parents and my sister, too.
Wow 😲 that's good of you Beth Peterson.!! You are a very nice woman I must confess and I like you good sense if humor here. I'm Gen Paul LaCamera by name where are you chatting from if I may ask?
"Tabby" is not a breed, but a coat pattern. Many breeds can have tabby coats. I believe what you're referring to is probably what is known as a "moggy" - a cat with no pedigree that is otherwise unremarkable. That doesn't mean they can't be loving, amazing pets, however!
I have had 6 cats in my lifetime. By far my favorite was Frankie. He was a rescue that someone left behind and was found looking for food in a dumpster. He was declawed and we could not believe that they just left him to fend for himself. He was so laid back and chill. I think he was part Maine coon. He was just lovely. He died about 7 years ago. I miss him dearly. We actually had a funeral for him in our backyard and put a nice stepping stone where we buried him. I was glad that his last years were spent with us in a loving home with plenty of food.😊😊
Our two kitty cats mated (accidentally) and their kittens were at least 32 pounds. They weren't fat at all, just huge. Not crosses with any wild cats, just kitty cats. They may have been world records, and we had no idea.
@@samuelvance5674 We found the beautiful mom kitty in a swampy area. Her front under leg was ripped wide open. She let us catch her. Nobody claimed her. We nursrd her back to health. It took months. We kept her in her own room, we thought. Somehow our last kitty to yet be fixed, Billy Sunday, got to her. We don't know how. Yes, cats are extremely persistent. Somehow they find any tricky possible way they can. Likely he slipped in unawares while we checked on her. We found homes for all the kittens, and for mom Sheba. They became very beloved pets. One to a little girl that was somewhat autistic. She had a very hard time, as kids made fun of her a lot. A beautiful, gentle girl, whose kitty became a great support to her, to help her through hard times.
@@v.dargain1678 I’m a widower and I have one daughter she is 26yrs old her name is Linda I lost 😠 her mom about 4yrs ago in a car accident,Are you single?
With so many poor kitties dying in shelters people worrying about buying a bred cat is just disgusting. Sure I'd love a big serval myself, but seeing all the lists and pictures of poor kitties being killed because nobody adopts them really sucks. Wish I could house them all! Interesting video... was surprised the egyptian mau didn't make the list thought they got pretty big
I agree with you 100%. What they don’t tell you is that so many domestic cats get killed in the cross breeding process and that these hybrid cats don’t make the best family pets and require a lot of space & play to expel their energy. It infuriates me when people choose to buy them regardless just because of their appearance, because they don’t care about all felines.
You never can tell. I have 2 long hair black cats that were so tiny as kittens they would crawl under the bathroom door! They are brother and sister. Today they are the size of panthers!
@@bazza945 Sometimes. I captured them when they were about 5 weeks old or rather their feral mom dumped them at my front door. They've been absolutely adored since that moment.
I have a ragdoll. I never notice how big he is until I see other cats and realise how small they are. His temperament is like no other though, so sweet and gentle and chill. The best.
We bought a kitten that we were told was 90% British Shorthair & 10% Bengal. At 5 months he had a growth spurt, we’ve googled his picture, he’s a Norwegian Forest - he’s just turned 1 & is 6kg already! 😳 We love him so much but we’ll have to move to a bigger home soon! 😮😂
I have a mix between a European short hair and a Norwegian forrest cat( more Norwegian) Teddy. He is huge but so so gentle and so kind hearted, the sweetest, fluffiest soul you will ever meet.
I have a 21 pound Norwegian Forest and a 9 pound Snub that were born 2 months apart and are basically brothers. It's adorable when they fight, a bit like Prince Oberyn vs The Mountain Also shopping for anything apparel related for the big kitty always takes me into the 'small dogs' section of Petco
Very interesting, thank you for this presentation. The largest cat I'd ever go with as a pet would be either a Cougar or a Leopard and certainly anything smaller. But as all cat lovers know, it's the individual demeanor and personality that makes for a great pet. One could have a Leopard or Cougar which is very friendly, loves to lay in your lap and is non-aggressive and then one can have a house cat that will eat you up for just trying to pick it up. With cats, it's all about the individual personality which takes time and patience on our part to discern. I've seen (and had) house cats which would slice you like a tomato just for trying to give him/her a bath and then I see people with their pet Cougar giving him a bath as he just sits there patiently.
My sister is trying to find a new home for her cat Hal, he's a beautiful cat, we were told he's a mix of Maine Coons and Tabby b,but after watching these cats ,I think he favors Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest, and Siberian.
Yes Ragdolls are my favorite too, I had one 5 years ago, his name was Pooky and he looked like a white tiger and had beautiful blue eyes, he once weighed 25 pounds, he was slightly chubby, but not unhealthy! I had him for 12 years, but he died, because he had bad seizures all the time, which killed him! But they make fantastic pets, they get along with everyone, dogs, kids, other cats, and even strangers, or at least my Pooky did, as long as you rubbed his tummy you were okay in his book! Oh and would never scratch or bite you while you rubbed his belly, instead he would likely fall asleep purring!
Several of the pictures of Norwegian forest cats were actually Maine Coon judging from the facial structure. Forest cats have far more triangular faces.
I knew a cat named Porch who had black fur. He looked like the Siberian breed on this list though he was over twenty pounds. He did not like much of anyone. Porch was the runt of the liter so he had been abandoned under my uncles porch. He grew to be a massive cat.
Own a half-breed Norwegian forest cat. His mom was the last in the line of a unbroken line of mother to daughter cat's i owned since childhood. He's the 4th generation. Also none of the mother cats where Norwegian's. He was a only kitten, and came out dead. Now he's 11 years old, still as sociable as always. When you own simple female barn cats, you might rarely get some surprise half breed kittens :).
I had a Norwegian skogskatt before. At his strongest he was almost 12 kilos, but not fat, just strong. Even after he fought 2 other cats, the veterinarian didnt believe that the bit from my cat was from a cat :P
Maine Coons: We have two, father and son. They’re both 12.5kg (27 lbs) with no chub. Magnus was 2kg (4.5 lbs) at 10 weeks, put on 0.5kg/1lb per week until he was 7 kg (16 lbs) at 6 months and kept growing. They can both look over the edge of the kitchen counter while standing.
I retired to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and I rescue abandoned lonely hungry or abused cats ! I now have 22 cats and they follow me everywhere ! It’s totally amazing but not as amazing as these magnificent cats on this video ! I would love to get one of the cats on this video but they are so big they might eat my chickens and Iguanas and maybe even my cats ! Super great video though ! Thank you for sharing ! New subscriber ! Wednesday October 5th 2022 4:08pm PEACE ☮️☮️☮️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️😊😊😊
I would have liked this video except that number one turns out to be a wild animal rather than actually domestic and an encouragement to the general public to take a wild cat for a pet.
they are really lovely, good with kids and loyal. my baby always stays by my side. as i was at a course my cat wouldnt let my boyfriend pet her because i wasnt there. as i was back everything was fine again so i guess she worried where i was ^^
and if you want to turn it like that, that people turn wild animals to pets.... dude think first, cats were wild at first just like dogs and other animals too and they are just fine with us (good) humas and live a maybe even happier live than alone in the wild fighting for their life.
I searched for a video on biggest cats as in wild cats. This was just as informative. My buddy's mom lives in Tennessee and has some Maine Coon cats that kick all the dogs asses
My brother bought a 3 months old kitten a few years ago, not knowing exactly what breed it is, then in only two years it grew bigger than most cats that I've ever seen and continued to grow, we were amazed to find out it was actually a Siberian!!

Hello
I had a tabby that was 20 lbs....
He thought he was a primadonna... took on a 150 lb dog.... Slap boxing at its finest...
The cat won

Hello
I have a GIANT kitty. She's a rescue, and came with her normal-size sister. I'm 5'3", and when the cat stands on her back feet, she comes up to my waist. She's also really chill and cuddly. We wonder if her dad was a ragdoll.
I adopted a mix fur baby. She’s Ragdoll and Maine Coon with a personality as big as her breed. Families with children this breed is the best!
Had a Maine Coon as a child, she got BIG and I loved her more than anything on the planet; lived 17 years as one of the most loyal guard cats I ever seen to this day lol intimidated my Husky. Now I have a prissy clingy brat.
Hello
Our two cats, XENA the Princess Warrior and Goldie Locks add so much love to our home. We can’t imagine not having them share our life.
We have a new cat now
(Also a Norwegian forest) that is 2 years old.
Hello
I want a Ragdoll sooo bad. They're gorgeous!
“The Biggest Cat Breeds in the World!”
Lion: *Am I a joke to you?*
Lion not a domestic cat.

We had an American Bobtail. His name fitted him perfectly. "Crazy Cat" Though he was a dog a squirrel
my cat always behaves like other animals too. it‘s really interesting and cute :)
Thank you!
Hello Christine how are you doing today
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww soooooooooooooo very cute

WONDERFUL, MAGNIFICENT BEAUTIFUL 😍❤♥🤩🤩🤩😍🥰😍🤩
Do you like cat's?
I have an inner draw to Maine Coons. Not sure why but I genuinely love that breed. I think it's also because their face reminds me of a Lion. Very lovely breed imo 🐝💕
Same, want one so bad but they are hella expensive and rare here in Brazil
Maine coons are fantastic
I had an American shorthair red tabby cat that weighed 20 pounds for a long time. He was a big sweet and friendly cat. My family adopted him from being a stray cat. He was a wonderful cat and friend. He was more than my cat for the longest time. He did liked my parents and my sister, too.
Wow 😲 that's good of you Beth Peterson.!!
You are a very nice woman I must confess and I like you good sense if humor here. I'm Gen Paul LaCamera by name where are you chatting from if I may ask?

Hello
Tabby cat is still one of my favourite list of domestic cats, cheapest breed, easily available and docile.
"Tabby" is not a breed, but a coat pattern. Many breeds can have tabby coats. I believe what you're referring to is probably what is known as a "moggy" - a cat with no pedigree that is otherwise unremarkable. That doesn't mean they can't be loving, amazing pets, however!
You do have a point.
All beautiful. They are the best friend you could ever want
Hello
Our two kitty cats mated (accidentally) and their kittens were at least 32 pounds. They weren't fat at all, just huge. Not crosses with any wild cats, just kitty cats.
They may have been world records, and we had no idea.
For you it was accidental, the cats however, had other ideas. Just sayin

I agree with you it's so heartbreaking that people don't adopt 😿
I had a rescue rag doll who hated other cats but loved dogs. I used to take her out on a collar and lead. She was so beautiful and I miss her so much!
My Maine Coon, Theodore, is 25 lbs of muscle and fluff, he's just a massive love sponge. If he's awake, he's demanding attention and affection.
I could kiss and cuddle these cats right now.
You never can tell. I have 2 long hair black cats that were so tiny as kittens they would crawl under the bathroom door!
They are brother and sister.
Today they are the size of panthers!
Hi,,,

Black cat = devious, manipulative, demanding, dishes out "affection" only if it might result in a treat.
@@bazza945 Sometimes.
I captured them when they were about 5 weeks old or rather their feral mom dumped them at my front door. They've been absolutely adored since that moment.
I would love a Maine coon, beautiful creatures
The Maine Coon will always be my favorite. i wish i could afford one. I'm looking for the right breed to not only keep me company but to love.
There are beautiful mix breeds with them that aren't as expensive but the replacement vacuum cleaners might be! Lol
Maine is so handsome. I won't admit that I'm in love with a cat.😭😭
They look like tigers without their actual colors
I have a ragdoll. I never notice how big he is until I see other cats and realise how small they are. His temperament is like no other though, so sweet and gentle and chill. The best.
I like how it went from domestic house cats to just straight up "here's some actual wildcats you can own".
Absolutely love my wife’s Main Coon she’s so large and beautiful to look at
We bought a kitten that we were told was 90% British Shorthair & 10% Bengal.

This is a great video!
Ommmmigosh these are amazing!
I think cats are the most cool n Lovely creature of this Universe.
I have a 21 pound Norwegian Forest and a 9 pound Snub that were born 2 months apart and are basically brothers. It's adorable when they fight, a bit like Prince Oberyn vs The Mountain
Also shopping for anything apparel related for the big kitty always takes me into the 'small dogs' section of Petco
Hello
Hello
Yeah they’re all absolutely beautiful🥰💕🦋
WOW! WHAT ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CATS.!!!
Do you love cat's? ☺️🙃☺️
My sister is trying to find a new home for her cat Hal, he's a beautiful cat, we were told he's a mix of Maine Coons and Tabby b,but after watching these cats ,I think he favors Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest, and Siberian.
‘’It hates going outside’’ I resonate with this cat
Thier all beautiful. Just beautiful!
As beautiful as they all are, I´d always rather adopt a cat from the shelter

My personal favourite among the larger cat breeds is the laid--back ragdoll--I'd love to have him as a pet! 😸😸😆😆🌈🌈
I have a ragdoll her name is s'mores because she has this toasted marshmallow tinge
I have two ragdolls, who are father and son.
Paul Forder that's awesome.
Paul forder you are looking good. How are you?
Several of the pictures of Norwegian forest cats were actually Maine Coon judging from the facial structure. Forest cats have far more triangular faces.
I knew a cat named Porch who had black fur. He looked like the Siberian breed on this list though he was over twenty pounds. He did not like much of anyone. Porch was the runt of the liter so he had been abandoned under my uncles porch. He grew to be a massive cat.

Hello
Seriously beautiful creatures 🥰🥰

Love this video. I subscribed to your channel and shared this video on my facebook😊😊
The last 3 or 4 on this list are starting to look like they could be kept by a zoo keeper but not the average person.
And servals are not a domestic cat breed
My daughter has a Maine coon. He weighs in at 36lbs. His name is Whopper and he is huge. Lives in Maine.

I would have liked this video except that number one turns out to be a wild animal rather than actually domestic and an encouragement to the general public to take a wild cat for a pet.
lol no it is not a wild cat, maybe it was but it isnt now. if you would've met one you wouldnt think like that
they are really lovely, good with kids and loyal. my baby always stays by my side. as i was at a course my cat wouldnt let my boyfriend pet her because i wasnt there. as i was back everything was fine again so i guess she worried where i was ^^
and if you want to turn it like that, that people turn wild animals to pets.... dude think first, cats were wild at first just like dogs and other animals too and they are just fine with us (good) humas and live a maybe even happier live than alone in the wild fighting for their life.
I wish that I could own them all😚😚☺️☺️😊😊😚☀️👍🌻🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
