Carl, thanks for sharing this again. This portion of the walk moves me. When I walk the WHW in may this year I will look for 'Connors rock' and pay a moment of tribute for the fine young man he must have been. Greetings, Henk.
Hi Henk! You're welcome. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I returned this summer to the rock and fixed a small brass memorial plaque to the rock so it should make finding the location a little easier. Good luck with your walk. All the best, Carl
Carl that was a very good wee section you did. Very interesting, For future reference, I believe the Inveroran Hotel will be opening a small shop, I believe sometime in March, I think they trialed it at the tail end of last season. Very moving at Connor's rock, cheers all the best Andy
A shop there will be very handy due to its location. I'm sure it will do well. I shared a small drop of macallan with Connor at the rock. All the best, Carl
Glad to see parts 4 and 5. Wow - that was amazing. I might just look for Connor’s Rock next time I do it. Thanks Carl. I met you at Rowardennan car park when you did this walk. I walk the route a lot and walked it in December also. In fact I walked it every month from April 21 to October 22, 19 months in a row. I might see you out there on your next one.👍
Thanks Robert. Yes I remember meeting you. Should you wish to drop in at Connors rock there is now a small brass memorial plaque fixed to the rock. I walked the way again in full in April this year but didn't film it. I was back in July to fix the plaque so you should have no problem determining if you have the correct location. The rock in question lies uphill from the way to the right of the Allt Mollach. Thanks for watching. All the best, Carl
I would highly recommend this walk. I've done it 4 times now myself and I know it will call me back again in the future. The tent I am using in this video is the Snugpak Scorpion 2. With the long nights in the tent and bulkier gear for the cold weather the extra room was essential. Thanks for watching Alan, all the best, Carl
