I personally own this vehicle and have since this past March.
Things I love that not many people talk about:
The music can be set to lower the volume slightly as you slow down to a stop, and then get increasingly louder with speed to your set volume. It’s unnoticeable until you find it in the settings, then I could hear the difference.
For a 4x4, it gets pretty damn good gas mileage. I average around 24 mpg city and 30 highway.
The fog lights, if not already turned on, will automatically turn on when you turn the steering wheel in their direction to give you more light as you turn a corner.
The ambient lighting at night in the Jeep is awesome. Door handles, map pockets, and mood light all look amazing with the white backlit lights.
The front screen is very customizable, not only by selecting between digital speedometer, gas mileage, etc as a whole, there are three slots at the top and anything you want can be put up there. I personally have the compass in the center, miles to empty on the left, and time on the right. The center screen is the digital speedo and the bottom is miles.
This car is actually very quiet when it shifts into higher gears. Very little noise intrusion even on the highway for a compact suv.
The center console slides forward and back to your liking. It really makes it more comfortable to rest your elbow on.
The metal skid plates on the bottom work wonders if you take it off-road. This thing really can get through some tough stuff, including deep snow.
The car senses the temperature outside, and whatever it may be, the car sets the AC or Heat accordingly when you use remote start. You can also set it to where if it’s cold, the heated seats and steering wheel automatically turn on as well.
The regular non beats Audio system speakers still BUMP. They sound really clear, have great bass, and look cool with the red trim around them.
    DISLIKES:
The automatic start-stop button can’t be set to be always on or off. Every time you turn the car off it automatically resets.
Every now and then when you put the car in reverse it takes a second to get the reverse camera up. Like 4 to 5 seconds. This only happens occasionally, and usually when you just hop in turn it on and reverse quickly.
Other than that, I’ve loved this Jeep. It’s amazing off road for what it is, looks awesome (mines black) and has good tech that works.

+NM Outdoors this is the most thorough comment I’ve yet to have on a video. NM outdoors, thank you for the input. I had a similar backup camera issue on my old Ram.

Car Mike it rarely happens, but still something to note. I also forgot to mention the Jeep in my opinion needs a slightly larger gas tank. Again, other than those things I’ve loved owning it. Some people don’t like the black interior but I personally would rather have all black and red than the shiny gloss plastic on the regular models than gets smudges like nobody’s business

I own the same model and definitely like the body style alot more than it's original body style. It definitely looks like a mini Grand Cherokee. This is the 5th Jeep that I've owned. I decided to give the Trailhawk model a go this time around.
For me, I'd like to see the V6 engine offered in the Trailhawk model. Getting on the highway or interstate, there is some hesitation, but nothing like other 4 cylinder vehicles.
Great job offering both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Yet, when connected to either, it's hard to see the clock/time when driving as it's in the upper left corner of the display. I'd love to see the clock displayed in the area where the speedometer is.
It does well climbing rocks and hilly, muddy trails.
All in all, if buy it again. I recommend it to anyone looking for a small SUV that's trail rated.

      I agree about adding a small V-6 or a stronger 4 cylinder.

I bought a 2019 Trailhawk 4x4 for 21k in San Diego today. I like it so far. The sound system is AMAZING. I don't think they meant to do it, but the interior reverberates sound very very well.

First I want to compliment your video. Great voice, pace, and video lighting. I’m also considering buying a 2019 Compass T.H. (Trail Hawk). Thanks for sharing your video.

I’m not really too sure what jeep you were test driving? My 2019 compass Trailhawk has lots of power! Going from a 2016 Ram 5.7 Hemi to this, really isn’t much to complain about power wise! I tow a small ATV trailer with it it’s fine! If you’re looking to change up the power there’s a product called pedal commander maybe you should look at! Completely takes the lag out of the transmission! I think it depends on the driver not the vehicle! This 2.4 in the compass has as much get up as the 3.2 V6 in the Cherokee Trailhawk! That’s why I bought the Compass better looking with about the same power! It’s only 0.3 inches lower in ride height then the Cherokee trail hawk! Love my compass!

I believe it’s an option they reserved for the Cherokee, as it’s considered slightly “up” in the market. Too bad too.

I have a 2019 Compass Trailhawk.... bought March 2020.... love it.. BUT my gas mileage is atrocious compared to my Compass North... went from 650 km a tank to 450 km a tank...awful.... Also front rotors shot in a year and out of warranty.... so those things haven't been great.

I was on the Internet looking at different kinds of Jeep’s and I came across to this car and I absolutely love it the style and the model of it but I want to know is this a good car to get??? I am thinking getting it for my 18th birthday but I don’t know if it’s a good car or not I don’t need that much space because it’s only going be me in the car I love how small it is for me

Aniyah. Sorry for the late reply. I think this would be a great first car. Making the decision which car is right for you is as personal decision about what you like and what matters most to you. Good luck with your purchase. Sorry if you had to spend ur 18th indoors.

What do you use to clean the leather trim? I don’t have experience with leather because my Grand Cherokee had cloth seat.

I think you’re right. I may not have said it but meant fully optioned, although $35 seems high even for that.

With options the price can go up to 35k. Thats what mine was. Fully loaded just no moonroof.

Can anyone tell me if you have or can add Mopar factory hitch to the Compass?

    • @lionslicer9999
      @lionslicer9999 4 года назад

With the new model compass, I believe if it doesn't come with a hitch from the factory, you'd have to replace the bumper to get one.

    • @Velo1010
      @Velo1010 4 года назад

Lion Slicer I bought my 2019 Compass two days ago. Hurray!! Now as far as the trailer hitch goes you were correct. I have to buy the hitch and rear bumper trim piece. Not a big deal. I need to look into the wiring harness.

Hyundai tuscon ultimate looks better inside and out, has panoramic roof, same hp, more options, way better warranty at 5 year 60,000 mile and 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, and all for 31,000. Who would buy this just to have an off road vehicle?
