I love genshin, too.
I really like the little things. Like being able to switch characters when gliding/climbing/swimming. That kinda thing
lest be real switching while gliding in wuwa is kinda of a must since characters that use rectifiers cant plunge so it kinda needs the ability to swap on a safer unit
more win for wuwa in terms of QoL is the fall damage being minimal,
like yea its unrealistic, doesnt make any sense but seriously in genshin you can bring a literal god in your team and die by falling at 20 feet like dafaq, you got the power the cleave an island in half and you die cause you slip off a cliff?
vaulting and mounting horizontal ledges is very good complimenting its very mobile exploration, (would be nice to see later characters have a newer or unique traversal mechanic other than echoes)
and a good part is that dreamless is a huge sign for signiture echoes so yea so much QoL at launch, all we need is echo loadouts since unlike genshin i dont think there's a limit on how much echoes you can hold so, i kinda want to know where my pieces at especially about a month from now
the one of the few things genshin still has better than wuwa (FOR NOW) is resin/waveplates
currently wuwa has slightly higher amount and regeneration but almost twice as expensive to use, no condensed version but hey its still at launch along with very, and i mean very scarce resource especially on leveling echoes, maybe when we reach union 40+ we might get an easier farming but for now busting all 240 wavepates for echo exp isnt worth it but needed since its very RNG in genshin you can just dunk the trash artifacts while here you kinda cant use it for exp unless its leveled
im waiting for them to add more phantom(shiny) echoes, for now we got 2 non boss enemies and 3 shiny boss but only on shop

@ozoahameg3582 Yeah, they both have their ups and downs. I seriously agree on the waveplate thing, though. I run out of them SO quickly, and I just don't even know what to do in the game after they're all gone like...now what? 😀

i wish they would allow the enemy tracker to track down at least 2 enemies of my choosing, kinda sucks going hunt for one and then when i started tracking the other enemy lots of them were very close to where i was when hunting the previous one

The first time I did that I literally gasped and did it like 80 more times. You can also pet the Animals in this game too! Those two things alone make me absolutely love this game

Something I love is that the smalls (Encore and Verina) do a little leapfrog jump over short ledges/objects. ((AND YOU CAN DO IT OVER THE ANIMALS, IT'S THE FUNNIEST THING.))

the first being it didn't convince me enough that its worth the space on my phone when im still addicted to genshin😂
there's still potential but the menu layout copy and paste and bad story needs to improve cuz mechanics wont be enough especially when genshin seems to be hinting at turning to animals in natlan

I love how the characters bodies are all flippy floppy so it’s possible to do stuff like that. Though, when they speed run up cliffs it gives me a heart attack bc they don’t care about stamina like I do
going from genshin to wuwa feels so free and refreshing
going from wuwa back to genshin feels so restrictive
as a genshin player, I haven't played genshin since I started on WuWa, and even now that I basically 100% cleared the current WuWa content, im just chilling in WuWa instead of chilling in genshin, idk what to say I just hope this game does SO well that it forces genshin to do better

At first I thought it will be hard and I won't enjoy the combat mechanics from the beta videos I saw. But I was so wrong. I really like the combat system.
Side note: Immediately deleted the other game that take so much space.

Note:Sprinting when out of combat doesnt cost stamina but in combat it does takes stamina. This is the same as Elden Ring.
Honestly, thats the only thing i am actually annoyed like everytime i try to ignore enemy it always deplete my stamine. Its annoying af

I really want the grapple cooldown to be like half tho and I'm hoping there will be 5 star food that can do that, 10s feels too long for general exploration rn maybe it's me tho
@@0v_x0 5 seconds would be exploitable with some character's skills I think, even just cutting off 2 seconds and making it 8 seconds would be good enough

Try to do jump + plunge (then cancel it by pressing the shift key) then click your hook ( i don't know the name of the device).

Backflips and dodges are so satisfying 😖
I've used a backflip dodge in battle that I turned into a plunge, straight onto one of those scorpion TDs to finish it off in an unnecessarily, but extremely satisfying, flashy manner
not to mention you can cancel your plunge attack by dashing/dodgin
Then try to click your grapple you can aim higher
you can even double plunge attack if you change your character in middle of it
Jump→Plunge→Dash before plunge starts to drop→Plunge again→Grapple before plunge starts drop. Congratulations, you now know the Quintuple Jump Tech.

glad to see genshin has some real competition. QOL details like this are huge for long running games
The mechanics are saving it.. There's a reason tho they dont show the menu or talk about you know the STORY cuz one is copy and paste genshins layout and 2 story isn't exactly... Good

That first one, i need to try that. But the last one, you can insert another Attck before you grapple for more height.
Jump > Atk > Dodge > Atk > Grapple

Wuwa's combat and movements mechanics are FULLY inspired by Nier:Automata, I believe.
I first tried out Genshin because I thought its combat looked like Nier:Automata - my favorite game of all time with my favorite combat mechanics. Wuthering waves' combat mechanics resemble Nier's EVEN MORE closely.
Besides combat, a LOT of other aspects are FULLY Nier inspired.
And I wonder why they don't just copy the system fully. Sure, wuwa has infinitely better combat than Genshin BUT Nier:Automata combat is just fully goated. The more closely you copy it, the better your combat system becomes!
Edit: that's not to say that Nier didn't take inspiration from anything - idk maybe they did maybe they didn't. Point is, Nier:Automata is goated. Imo it has a better story than any game ever, it has better music than Genshin (or at LEAST just as good), the visuals are phenomenal, and the combat is the fuking best (imo still better than wuwa but it's a different genre's and it's not a competition so it doesn't matter).
Kurogames are fans of Nier, they even have a collab with Nier in there other game PGR.

I played Genshin after playing WuWa, and all I can say is if you like a vibrant and colorful open world, Genshin is for you. However, if you want a much darker world, WuWa is for you.
Or you can play both and enjoy playing them.
Fr this is what ive been saying to my friends i dont like genshin coz its too colorful and vibrant it makin my eyes sore i like darker environment like wuwa

Playing genshin feels like a chore to me.
i was literally doing fontaine which i had been trying to complete for the past 2 weeks (it bores me to death, the underwater is soooo slow and repetitive) when wuwa launch. i was about to turn off my pc after 30 mins of genshin but decided to try on wuwa, 6 hrs later, im still up playing and i have work in 3 hrs !! 🥴🥴🥴

I love how everytime someone show off the climbing mechanic on a pole they would completely miss the pole.
The combat and movement in this game have ascended me. It's all so satisfying.
I thought I was the only one that thought the character swap mid flight is actually really good.
Also, sprinting will use stamina if there's an enemy/echo nearby you.
As a former genshin player, this "flip" gives me so much ecstasy every time
Sprinting when ur spotted by an enemy actually drains ur stamina
The last one. Fucking sprinting around Liyue first time and a random 1 meter pond in the middle of walkway, you fall without stamina, you drown

You missed that you can interact with something or even to an NPC mid-fight. You can literally cook while being torn to pieces by giant wolves

Everytime I play this the basic maneuver and parkour reminds me of prototype
My fav fight tech is first triple jump if needed or just jump, use dash for height and then the grapple. If you have jiyan then his skill followed by heron echo midair to dash again, and when you use heron, your dash resets so shift/left click for another and repeat
Wait until you find out about the super jump: plunge backflip plunge hook. It fun as hell especially on the challenge roof in the city
From what has happened to me several times, when running it does not consume stamina but if you enter combat mode, either because you attack an enemy or an enemy attacks you, if it consumes stamina it would not be 100% sure of it but it has always happened to me.

one of the best thing about the game is the parry system and even the plain dodge but kuro had been considerate enough to give alternative for players who find it hard to dodge lethal attacks, that is to use the grapple skill, my friend cant dodge so i was laughing hard at her but she learned how to use the grapple when in combat and it saves her as* many time 😅
Try using backflip dodges in battle against smaller mobs. I did that to dodge an attack from one of those scorpion TDs when it tried to attack me from behind, turning the backflip into a dodge, and finishing with a plunge right onto the mob's back in a rather unnecessary, but extremely satisfying, flashy manner

WuWa have all the things we were asking hoyo for years. The fights and movement are so good, instantly fell in love with wuwa.
I love the movement of this game especially the super jump, gets me loot in places that are pretty high up.

yk u can use the transform things while in flight and they reset ur back flip so you could say jump off somewhere high use grapple backflip then glide then transform into dreamless backflip and glide again then swap characters to keep using dreamless and back flipping
Pro tip I found: You can use jiyan's skill while gliding to give yourself a distance boost midair and then continue gliding again(on top of dashing and grappling). This game continues to deliver.
You can change your echo skill by cancel echo animation too ( use echo skill and then swap character ) king kong, dreamless,3 head bird can do that...😊😊😊

Playing Genshin after my WuWa session, I feel so slow moving in the overworld☠️
Changing character mid flight is more useful in Genshin where characters have moves that can be used in the air. Like turning on flight mode for Wanderer, going his distance, then triple Eing on Xiao, then air jumping as Kazuha.
In WuWa it's use is slighter, in terms of just getting your tall character out right now when they weren't, or Jiyan.
And no interruption when switching character while sprinting. Your sprint doesn’t stop! 🤯

I like being able to switch while gliding cause like.. if you’re playing your favorite character, and you run out of stamina and you fall, you kill it, but if you can switch it to your least, it won’t matter that much yk? The stamina thing is half true. It does consume stamina if an enemy spots you and you're considered "in battle" but outside of battle it doesn't consume it which is awesome
