The older I get the more I realise that it’s best to do things that you’re naturally inclined at or love, have a passion for. This makes life enjoyable and you have to bare in mind that we will be working for majority of our lives, might as well enjoy it and do the things you like. Once you do this being a harder worker, be consistent and showing up everyday is easy!
If something is so terrible that death seems like a more preferable option, it's just not worth it. Everything you said in this video is, and has been my mentality for my entire life, I don't give a fuck if other people think that this is all that life has to offer, it can be a million times better. People keep asking me, what job I'd like to do, and my answer is "no job", I don't want to work, I don't want to spend my time, the time of the one life I have on this planet on something I hate doing. I never understood how anyone can be okay with this. I want to explore nature, work on my hobbies, and enjoy all life has to offer. Not work. Work is pain, work is misery, work is not fun. It’s your birth right to live how you want. Do people actually think God put us all here to pay bills, taxes to a system and die? Everything from school, jobs to jail was created to keep you controlled and placed into a system. That’s why they call it the rat race. We’re trained to be hamsters in a wheel and slaves to corporate America. We’re told we have to work 40+ hours a week to survive, which then gives little to no time to invest in ourselves or discover our true gifts and talents. We’re too busy just trying to survive and keep up with life’s constant responsibilities. Then they bombard us with credit card debt, student loan debt, mortgage debt, taxes, fees, and insurance just to keep you slaving away in the name of capitalism. It’s all designed to keep you trapped and stuck. Not to mention they raise the cost of living on you every year further squeezing the life out of you forcing you to working harder. Shit is crazy. That’s why you have to keep God first and pray for wisdom, strength and guidance. Work if you have to, but be smart and strategic about it. Save what you can and invest in yourself and your goals. Whatever that may be. Make it where jobs are only a pit stop for you. Not a destination. Find yourself. Discover who you are and what you want out of life. And then go after it relentlessly. Also keep in mind that jobs are different from careers. Careers are usually what people enjoy doing. It resonates with them and uses their unique gifts, talents and skills. It also gives people a sense of purpose. Like they’re making real a contribution to the world. Jobs are just jobs. A means to an end. Just Over Broke. JOB. They rarely make you feel fulfilled or content. Some of us are artists, entrepreneurs, self employed business owners and creatives. Whoever you are or are striving to be is up to you. But half the battle is knowing that you’re weren’t put here to slave away at a mindless job for the rest of your life. Good luck on your journey bro.

I say if you can find a way to not have a 9-5 and can sustain yourself financially (meaning, don't have to rely on anyone else to sustain you), definitely go for it! Make sure you're doing something you like to do and getting paid to do it. You're gonna run into a lot of people who say you must work a 9-5, even if you hate it. But those are typically the people who hate theirs, so they think everyone else should live the same way. Do your thing young man - enjoy your life and get your $$$!

Baseball players get contracts because they can help their teams win baseball games, carpenters get paid because they can build cabinets, frame houses etc. Who is going to just give you a paycheck so that you can buy food and clothes, pay rent, take a vacation and drive a car?? Pretty much everyone has felt the frustration that you feel at one time or another. And in the end, you may very well end up doing something you don't enjoy. Even if you get the job that you think you'd like, what if you stop enjoying it after 3 or 5 year?? Would you just walk away from it?? Life will require you to do many things that you don't want to do? Things that bore you, things you hate. Nobody's going to take care of you and provide all of your needs and let you do what makes you happy everyday. What if what makes you happy today, doesn't make you happy tomorrow? In a very real sense, happiness is a frame of mind.
You look very young, and eventually you will see the world as it is and not as you wish it was!

The worst part of that is actually having someone above you who is commanding you every day and if you don’t do something properly, you get fired. So you live with the fear that at any moment you could be fired just because you didn’t follow someone’s command. Its just slavery, it’s horrible
And you can’t yell back at your boss so you constantly live with that fear. You just have to shut your mouth and can’t do anything about people above you in that company you work for

Certain jobs are toxic not all though sometimes it be the weird hours they want you to work.
I used to think this was just how a small minority of people actually feel, but it's starting to become more and more apparent that it actually might be a generational thing with those younger than age 30 or 35. I'm 27 and have always felt this way since my very first job. And i think despite what everyone will tell you, it's not because we're lazy or we just don't care. We do have motivation to do things, we do have passion for things - we just don't have a passion for getting paid a shit wage, at a shit job - with management that won't bother to train you, but will bother to let you whenever you've fucked something up.
So no, it's not because we're lazy. It's because we realize we do not need to needlessly suffer through a 9-5 at the expense of our own mental health and overall happiness. It's just not worth it. And the older people who will tell you "it's just life" or "suck it up, i went through it. everyone hates their job"

Im 36.... most jobs now are quasi gig-jobs with the expectation of workers who will go way above and beyond for no benefit. Plus prices are high af rn. It didnt use to be this way pre 2008, you guys will never know the good days. Jobs always sucked but you could make rent and have some savings etc. I would consider most jobs today to be borderline scams tbh. You have to either be highly skilled/ high income or its just not really worth working

Became a substitute teacher after I graduated college. Love the flexibility i have. I can work when I want at any school of my choice or take any day off.

A part time job might work while you pursue what intersts you. Freelance, business venture, and more. You look creative, graphic arts, cyber security, music producrion, owning a franchise, etc. My best advice is talk to career counselors and explore businesses. Best wishes
This is exactly what I’m doing right now. Got a part time job so I can be stress free and focus more on ideas that can venture me into a business I can live off of. I been working on a variety of skills at the moment and see what will work!

I had a customernsuport rolenforn3 months with a degree in cs. Yea, very original. I hated tjat. I genuinly.hated. i quit job and im afraid now vecause i ll be homeless but i cant work anymore i will ratjer be homeless.
No problem, you can work from 7- 4 or 6-3. 5-2 is also ok in my experience.
We are who we are, and I'm not going to criticize you, but now, at 46 i feel i can opine. Most jobs you will not like or hate, even if the money and / or the job itself are good, your negative emotions will make it difficult to slog through. What i can day is try and find positive things to focus on, stack your money and while you do that, try and find something that is closer to who you are and gels with your values.
That’s the same with me, no matter how hard I try, while being at the job I can’t focus at all and I’d rather be homeless or doing anything else for myself to make a living.

It's crazy that some people never make the correlation between work and slavery as if the two are different. The only difference is that you take a check, cash the check, then use the check to pay for food and shelter. As a slave you would be given shelter and food in exchange for working... Not much has changed. When do you retire? When can you retire? When you die? Same as slavery... Eventually you will be too old to work and when you run out of money, they will repossess everything you purchased. You don't own and cannot own anything in Amerikkka. To work a job or accept being a slave you have to practice cognitive dissonance. You cannot be consciously aware of the truth like Neo in the Matrix and be comfortable working or being a slave... You must be blissfully unaware or partially satisfied with what your earning in order to numb yourself because existing as a slave is not enjoyable.

I blame government. In our society we have white collar jobs that have a demand, i.e. doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, bankers etc. But the cost of obtaining the degrees and certifications have only gone up. Debt and loans need to be taken out at crazy rates, often not repaid. The government already knows the decline in university admissions, along with the lack of replacements in the white collar fields, yet they won't allocate the funds nor make enough changes to see positive change. All the money just goes to military and foreign aid. Smfh.

You can work a 9-5 you just have to find the right one that feels good to your soul. I have one now that I'm very comfortable with. It doesn't weigh me down spiritually or emotionally. I am able to retain my energy now and focus on other things that i love after work without feeling like i need to get right in the bed because I'm energetically exhausted. I am a residential painter/drywaller. I work without being micromanaged all damn day and i dont work with women that keep messy shit going all day. I do my work and report what i got done at the end of the day. The last 9-5 i had i gained over 50 lbs and was drinking myself into a early grave

The working life, however, is really inhumane and is still oriented towards 1945. Although we produce almost 4 times more, we do not work 4 times less or earn 4 times more. Rather the opposite is the case. It needs a new concept, a shorter working time (4 hours a day, for example, whereby a retired person can come back), a basic income for the subsistence minimum, which sticks to people. We have never been as rich as we are today! And at the same time, we live as if we were poor.
Btw the credit system is also a bad thing but normal for people. You force yourself to work in future.

I am just like you, I can't stay in a 9 to 5 job, a great or a bad job I have had plenty. I just got let go 3 weeks after being hired. And I liked the job. In the beginning it was all good, they were smiling to me, I was super motivated, I was trying to act "normal" and shut down the inner thoughts, then I started to feel so annoyed by my manager. She was such a hypocrit and pretend all the time that the team and us are friends or some shit like this. I hate when they do that, pretend that we are not here for money, to not die of hunger. She was constantly yapping when I was trying to concentrate on my work and we are in the same office with the sales guy yelling on the phone. Then I was supposed to have lunch all together when I could not stand these people, I want to chill during lunch time to get through the afternoon. But that manager could not understand that, I had to obide and follow the codes. I hate this shit, they ask to litteraly change your whole personnality and pretend you are happy to be there, it's not even about your professinnal skills anymore, it's about you molding yourself into their spirit. It is toxic and I feel my soul crushing because I really want to evolve and learn and then get a better job. But i feel like I can't evolve they don't want me. I got fired again and it made me cry for 2 days. My mom, my friends everyone I know must think i'm a loser. That terrible woman made me think I was stupid even, it is such a struggle and nobody speaks about it, I can't have somebody tell me how to behave, what to do and what to say, I want to work and be my own person !! also, can we stop pretending we love going to work ? and we are not sacfrificing our well being to be there ? not enough time spent at home to sleep, see our pets, our friends, our family ?! so can we cut us some slack ? But let me tell you something. You hated school and you hated the path that this society set for you. But the only way to change those paths is through learning how things work and figure out how to change them. People with money want to make so that you spend your life trying to help them get more while giving your the bare minimum. They have configured society for this purpose. If you don't learn about that then you are just out there floating in ignorance, feeling you want things to be different but not have a clue what the problem is. The reality is very few people break out of a 9-5 and those who do end up working incredibly hard and still have to conform to what other people demand. You might think you can be one of those people but many have tried and failed and end up working a 9-5 and not one of the better of those. The only real way out of this is to challenge the system itself and I'd say you are about 25 years away from realizing this fact.
