Once out of the rat race you will initially love being free but eventually you will get bored and feel a lack of purpose. Being a slave sucks but unfortunately that’s all most people are good for.

The whole thing is sick. I can only speak about life in an office (in the UK), but I would estimate that every interaction is dysfunctional in some way. Not only are we all wasting precious time, which cannot be replenished -- rendering the amount of time spent at work truly obscene -- you're constantly forced to lie about how "useful" or "interesting" an email or proposal or meeting is. If you lied this much outside of work, to people you love, people woild rightly consider you a sociopath.
To compound matters, everyone seems to spend the entire week waiting for Friday and dreading Monday. They're vocal about it too, on Mondays, Wednesdays (halfway there people!), Thursdays (almost there folks), and Fridays (just hours to go!) This is not the way to create a happy or creative society.

I don’t mind the salary and all that , but the feeling that you have to ask “the boss” to come 1 hr late to take your kid to the doctors appointment or the clock being 4:57 and you wait for 5:00 to leave even though you have nothing to do. Some people might like it , but it feels like prison to me. Having a freedom and control over your life is everything.

We work 8hrs/day, in some cases lunch is included in those 8hrs.I have 34 days payed holiday/year due to my age (hmm) and having kids. (Each child means 2 extra holiday days, plus the older you are the more holiday you have) Plus of course x amount of payed sick days, but I'm never sick so I don't know how many weeks we get. And I still feel exploited by the multinational firm I work for... 😀 Also, if a family has 4 kids or more, the mother doesn't pay income tax for the rest of her life. All yall thinking being a business owner is better have no idea what you’re talking about. You work more, less vacation, no benefits, no vacation no retirement, until you make it, IF you make it. I recently gave up the right to my business, yes i make a bit less, so pay is similar, have 40 vacation days, health insurance, retirement plan and work alot less than i did when i was self employed. My stress and anxiety levels have gone down, i also work a hybrid schedule now too. 9-5s arent always bad, there are plenty of good companies out there

In 2025 I will be making as much as I was in 2017 and in 2026 I will be making probably double I was in 2019. Lotta ego in this video lol. But I also can’t relate to much of it. I’m unionized. Vacation time based on time with the company , I’m at 6 PAID WEEKS. Then I have ‘sick time’ which we use for whatever. Only 8 hours a day. Can work whatever I want, it could be Monday and I decide to work 7-5 instead of 7-3, those two hours are overtime. For me, that equates out to $61 and some change per hour.
Now don’t get me wrong. If I was on Joe or Ari’s spot where I have millions across multiple accounts, I’d have this same attitude too lol. Sadly it just doesn’t work like that.
It there is a crazy amount of ego flowing in this clip. And idk why I just feel like ego’s are for young teenagers trying to impress or ‘one up’ each other. IMO, no TRUE, REAL grown man has an ego. And that’s what everyone thinks of themselves - a real, grown, tough man. If you have an ego, you are not one of them.
