You enter as early as you can and they are always there same at night Ive gotten to work until 10pm and the japanese managers are there. Thats a well paid enterprise tho. Im willing to risk some years of my life for the bread. But most of Latin american jobs have insane schedules
Y’all were close, it’s 2 weeks off per year but only 10 days technically. Also, most people only get 5 sick days off a year, equivalent of 1 work week. Total of 15 days off per year.
Important is to work for something greater than yourself. Just enjoy the presence is pointless in the long run. That is definately possible in normal/corporate/9-5 jobs. But can of course be done in your own company too (depend what it does).
All yall thinking being a business owner is better have no idea what you’re talking about. You work more, less vacation, no benefits, no vacation no retirement, until you make it, IF you make it. I recently gave up the right to my business, yes i make a bit less, so pay is similar, have 40 vacation days, health insurance, retirement plan and work alot less than i did when i was self employed. My stress and anxiety levels have gone down, i also work a hybrid schedule now too. 9-5s arent always bad, there are plenty of good companies out there
Lol they don't want to be a business owner they want to do less work for more money, that is their complaint. Heaven forbid they get what they want because they will only ask for more most employees think they are doing you a favour just by getting out of bed and comming to work 10 mins late.

Sick days are a joke because you cannot predict what will happen to you and how sick or how long you'll be.....if work wasn't so stressful and we were protected from psychopaths at work and those we deal with it would be easier.
You cats need to stop being lazy and weak,it’s a blessing to have a job. Especially if it’s a good paying job. Im trying to get a job at waffle house, with 30 dollars to my name. Thats the other side they don’t want to tell you about. Being broke. Theres people who wish they were where some of y’all at. Maybe y’all haven’t struggled enough yet. You can live a good life without a Lamborghini. The people with that are miserable anyway, even through they lie and say they are not.
Lotta ego in this video lol. But I also can’t relate to much of it. I’m unionized. Vacation time based on time with the company , I’m at 6 PAID WEEKS. Then I have ‘sick time’ which we use for whatever. Only 8 hours a day. Can work whatever I want, it could be Monday and I decide to work 7-5 instead of 7-3, those two hours are overtime. For me, that equates out to $61 and some change per hour. Now don’t get me wrong. If I was on Joe or Ari’s spot where I have millions across multiple accounts, I’d have this same attitude too lol. Sadly it just doesn’t work like that. It there is a crazy amount of ego flowing in this clip. And idk why I just feel like ego’s are for young teenagers trying to impress or ‘one up’ each other. IMO, no TRUE, REAL grown man has an ego. And that’s what everyone thinks of themselves - a real, grown, tough man. If you have an ego, you are not one of them.
I love Joe, but it seems he doesn’t know what sick days actually are. Those are days you can skip work without medical confirmation. It’s easy to say “you either believe your employees or don’t”, but the truth is it is going to be abused anyways. Not a tragedy though, just saying.

9 to 5 thats a f***ing blessing. Im a quality engineer in Mexico i work from 8 to 7. My official schedule is 830 to 606.
My manager and all the managers where I work at they work from around 730 to 9 pm. And we have japanese managers the f**ing live there nobody knows at what time they get in or out.
You enter as early as you can and they are always there same at night Ive gotten to work until 10pm and the japanese managers are there. Thats a well paid enterprise tho. Im willing to risk some years of my life for the bread. But most of Latin american jobs have insane schedules
At Walmart it’s one week vacation.
Yeah home depot is also that. Just the Walmart of hardware
Yeah but all the stuff you can steal from Walmart makes it worth it
Damn bruh I go to Walmart and drop $30 on 4 items
what podcast does Jo reference?
What episode number is this??
It’s #972

commercial fishing in alaska, fifo jobs in australia, contract jobs, etc
@@belgiumwaffleh thank you for your answer
Y’all were close, it’s 2 weeks off per year but only 10 days technically. Also, most people only get 5 sick days off a year, equivalent of 1 work week. Total of 15 days off per year.
Average house price in Sydney is $1.6m ...😮
I know as an Australian it’s honestly disgusting
Why they call it a rat race. It's a sleep walk for me.
Important is to work for something greater than yourself. Just enjoy the presence is pointless in the long run.
That is definately possible in normal/corporate/9-5 jobs. But can of course be done in your own company too (depend what it does).
9-5? Im usually working 72 hours. Need to change.
Covid forced me to early retirement at 39 years of age/my industry collapsed and it ain't ever coming back. I said fxck you in my mind to the industry that screwed me over (and the zero talent idiots in it who Ive had to endure for the last 2 decades) and after being patient for the last 5 years (without money coming in from a salary) I am currently making as much cash as I was in 2011. In 2025 I will be making as much as I was in 2017 and in 2026 I will be making probably double I was in 2019. I advise opening your own business with the goal of having people work for you and having them say "how high" when you say "Jump". I really hope this comment ages well.
6-4pm here I gotta break outa this shit
Same, but overtime for the last hour of everyday and every second Friday off paid for a 3 day weekend.
9 to 5 is sad.
Not for all
Can we at least give a shout out to the few companies actually care about their employees? I’ve worked for a couple of companies that were very understanding about being sick and offered tons of time off in the slow season.
The rat race sucks when it's low to mid pay.. I know people making 300k/yr as an employee, and they go vacation multiple times a year.. Sounds all good to me. Not everyone needs to start some business
Well said bro!
You're missing the whole point. I could make 150k/yr as a freelancer or business owner. The freedom this gives you is day and night compare to 9-5 under a boss.
Do it then pussy
@@lulzd9355he isn’t missing the point, if you work a nine to five and have 4-6 week vacation but with actually decent pay it’s okay, obviously being super rich freelancer or what not etc is good as well but some ppl prefer schedules
“Hey do you know about sick days”?
I will manifest better. I will break the matrix
Germans or Europeans get more days off with many bank holidays.
I’m in the USA but I still get 25 days a year time off. Also get unlimited sick days too only thing is if you’re out more than 3 consecutive days you need some kind of paper work from the hospital or doctor. Work at a Fortune 500 and love the work life balance here.
Work is the curse of the drinking classes! Oscar Wilde
It’s not 2 weeks sick it’s 5 days
All my life i thought i would live in the US when i grow up. Now i thank to myself everyday, that im a level headed person and just want to stay in my safe, clean and healthy country.
India is not clean or safe
The USA sucks
Working 12-14 hours a day in America doesn’t get you “new stuff”
People work that much just to afford rent and live. Modern day slavery. People can’t afford to “ Do more of what they want to do”
"40 hours a week is bullshit. No one should do it". What about the folks at Spotify Joe?
No days off baby ❤
That’s why I’m investing all I can into GameStop. Ryan Cohen is about to turn that company into something completely different and innovative after this melt up. Idk, there’s always hope if you believe in something
3 months im almost there got some $ saved im ready to make a move
I have escaped
so lucky im not living in America ^-^
That’s why u gotta bust ur ass to make it when ur young so when ur 55 you don’t have to anymore. Currently trying to make it so I don’t have to work for someone anymore be my own boss
what's the alternative? lol
Exactly, he acts as if we don't need people working 9 to 5. If people wouldn't, he wouldn't be able to live his life in that ''better'' way either.
@@MetallicaRocksssyeah some people have to work 9-5 so others don’t… choose wisely
@@RobertOSullivan-f9l yeah let's all choose wisely and watch society crumble
5 weeks sounds good for americans and it surely is better but it still is not feeling good or enough.
right? A year has 52 weeks....so its not even 10%
rogan not knowing what the average paid vacation time in the US speaks volumes. Has he ever worked a 9-5?
I escaped.
Canada is like that with the sick days, unlimited sick days baby
Just modern day slavery
9-5 isn’t the issue. It’s the salary not keeping up with the economy. 9-5 with weekends off is a pretty easy schedule.
Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff*ck no.
This video was 6 years ago bro
Yee unfortunately I have no cheddar to do anything when I’m off. But agreed, 5 days 9-5 ain’t bad
I wonder how they feel about these comments now. Can’t see forest for work ethic. Stoners will ruin everything
I love you Joe, but sometimes having the cash to buy something nice once in awhile is the goal. When you spend your whole life with broke shit that barely works a decent car and an insulated house thats yours is why a lot of us grind.
But grinding for it is the problem

Sick days are a joke because you cannot predict what will happen to you and how sick or how long you'll be.....if work wasn't so stressful and we were protected from psychopaths at work and those we deal with it would be easier.
The problems aren’t 9-5s. People buy stupid shit to impress people who don’t care. Work save your money and invest so you can quit the rat race early
You’re out of touch
God bless Merica 🇺🇸
You cats need to stop being lazy and weak,it’s a blessing to have a job. Especially if it’s a good paying job. Im trying to get a job at waffle house, with 30 dollars to my name. Thats the other side they don’t want to tell you about. Being broke. Theres people who wish they were where some of y’all at. Maybe y’all haven’t struggled enough yet. You can live a good life without a Lamborghini. The people with that are miserable anyway, even through they lie and say they are not.
It's not 14 days it's 10

Both would not survive 1y of real life many people are in today. Hè been rich since forever now. He has no clue what sick days even are 😂
I love Joe, but it seems he doesn’t know what sick days actually are. Those are days you can skip work without medical confirmation. It’s easy to say “you either believe your employees or don’t”, but the truth is it is going to be abused anyways. Not a tragedy though, just saying.
all i see is two losers who got lucky and became famous and have never worked a day in their lives, dont let people tell you ur wasting ur life just because ur building a career and dedicate urself to ur work, Its how the everyday man provides for their family not everyone has a podcast where they sit down and talk shit and make a million dollars. Youll get that with these yuppie celebrities that have no idea what its like in the real world.
You do realize joe worked contruction and many other jobs on the come up sure some of it was luck but most people won’t take chances for success before you hate maybe look in the mirror
