capitalism is system when you can change your master at will now and get brief relief/dopamine that comes with change - but when you look at it, not much different than feudalism.
Coerced servitude and exploitation will remain.
Would argue things got worse in some ways, because now you are expected to pay entirely for housing and food.
      People on unemployment etc
don't count because someone else is paying their way to live, so guess that improved?
It does mean however someone else will be exploited twice to sustain their lifestyle.

I tell people to learn a skill, I established an auto repair "side hustle" right out of high school, and it eventually became my full time self employment.
I still go back to "work" every once in a while to test the waters or when a company needs help(I got a CDL, hvac and welders cert.)...and man, nothing's changed, i can see why companies are always hiring.

    • @Coryiodine
      @Coryiodine 12 дней назад

I'm the exact same way, ADHD and everything. If you can, try for a job in security. It is our best bet. You can get paid around 17/hr to be alone guarding buildings/malls/etc. they usually have you alone or with one other guard. I worked security overnight at a mall. I was alone, allowed to sleep, and got paid to sit on my phone and watch movies, etc. you just have to walk the grounds once every couple hours, which also kept me in good shape absolutely amazing. My plan is to go back to security so I get paid to have free time. You want to learn a language? You can. Being a laptop and game or do online college? You can. Its the ultimate mix of a job and having a life. I can't hold much of anything else. Oh, also if you climb the ladder and get gun certified and stuff, you can expect to make in the 20s/hr.

100% with the headphones. Back when I tried to put myself in the workforce I found a job on a campground described as “janitorial” I thought sweeping and cleaning, nope. They wanted me to only clean toilets and drive a golf cart from toilet to toilet all day. Completely nasty conditions that they just expect to get cleaned for minimum wage, even the employee area where they took breaks was disgusting. whatever i think to myself and put my headphones on as I’m driving the cart from washroom to washroom. I was going no faster than 2km/hour at max speed and the job was done alone, the funny thing is the campground attendees actually liked me and chatted with me when they saw me driving around. Management was all cliquey old women who were mad I just showed up to do my job and didn’t gossip or talk to them. Told me it’s “dangerous” and a “hazard” to listen to music while cleaning toilets. Kept listening to music anyways, Fired within the week lol. They can keep their lousy jobs

finally a video on this topic that isn't spewing bullshit like "you're a chosen one" or tells you to just start a business/be self employed. maybe that is the path for some of the people like this but for a majority the reality is they're never gonna be making 7+ figures driving around in a lambo like they like to dream about, they're never gonna be famous and nobody ever talks about how costly and time consuming constant job hopping can be (i can attest to it). if you weren't born into a rich family life is hard work and a lot of people don't wanna put that work in, they want the instant gratification. i've been working a part time temp job which makes it easier knowing i'm not "stuck here" and don't have to work at the same place for 20+ years like our parents and grandparents generation without seeming like a serial quitter/bad employee but after this i have to grind hard doing a 9-5 even for just a little bit bc i want better for myself (thank god i'm child free). good luck to you

Bro, loved the video. I have a hard time holding down jobs and its costing me my whole life. I was doing good when I first started, but then, i had many instances where I didnt get paid. And being in India, I always had to get a job in a Call Center and Night Shifts. Reaching to work on time, then cold calling till my next "luch break" which is actually dinner but we call it "lunch" 30 mineuts to eat, cant even smoke a ciggarret and log back in on the computer because its counting down the break time. Then when its time to log off, they always have a team Meeting after the shift timing is done, then rinse and repeat. I just cant handle it. Im not used to it. I have never been to school either. I was homeschooled. Everyone that has been to School and Colleges, You guys have been doing this since you were kids! Thats the only good thing from going to school and college's. Plus im an introvert. So man, Im stuck, I need to work to invest back in my music. I havnt found Freelancing to work for me yet. I now do Social Media Managing and need to work as a freelancer. Glad to know there are people who think just like me. Great video. I hope everyone can work their jobs and keep an eye out to find something they would love to do and slowly work for themselves soon. Thats the only solution. Its tough but lets pray and keep trying. Blessings to you bro

I am the same, I can’t hold down a job. My issues is when my contract ends I end up being out of a job which ranges between a few months to a few years, I mostly end up being out of a job when I am around people who are abusive towards me I am a quite individual and as long as I can go into work and do the job that I am hired to do I am happy, I will also be ambitious enough to learn my job and progress when others around me see that I go into work and am quite they see that as an opportunity to just run their mouth and say whatever abusive stuff they want and that ends with a few things happening: I will either end up with an attitude where I will go into work whenever I want, I will call in sick because I don’t want to face those abusive people my sickies would be a way to give the employer a reason to end my contract, I will tell my employer or agency what is going on and they will say it’s all in my head.

This is really good advice. 9 to 5 jobs exist and office jobs exist, but they're not worth it. They're just as bad and they pay the same as fast food jobs now. Plus, you get to deal with more unnecessary drama and people can be really fucking cruel. I decided to switch to a manufacturing job that I think I can handle because I tried to make it work for years in the administrative field and it just wasn't working. I got fired from a job for the first time and I was facing homelessness. I really hope that I can make this work because this is the most money that I will have ever made so far. At the end of the day, you have to keep it as impersonal as possible because people will use anything against you to get ahead. Find a job that you think you can reasonably handle. Go to work. Show up on time. Do your job. And go home. Make money. Do overtime if you have to. Then, live your life as you see fit. Dream jobs don't exist for most people.

The longest I've held is ironically a nonpaid (because my work is not popular/and as consistent) contract work in fiction writing that I do alongside any part-time job I have at the time. This video felt like therapy for sure. Thanks. For me I know I burn out quickly from any position if I don't rest enough or take care of myself to a degree. Which is not hard to do with my health issues, but anyways thanks for the video.

Nasty people to handle every day, this has been my work history. I am glad it's over and I survived. I wish you good luck and don't hang in there if the nastiness is too much, take care of your mental and physical health.

I’ve been at the same job for close to two years now and it totally broke me mentally and physically. It’s a desk job but my soul feels gone and I broke my back and had to get surgery just to get back and keep grinding. It’s tough. Idk how much longer I’ll be able to last honestly.

I'm 27. I feel like I still have a chance at a career but I have to figure this out really soon. I'm just trying to accept that I'm going to have to deal with heaps of bullshit for a few years until I gain enough authority and experience to insulate myself from it

I can relate. You/me/we need to work for ourselves, somehow. I do everytime I can, but still need to work a job in between, sometimes

I am having this problem right now. I work at Walmart. I just started like a month ago and I loved it at first and the last 3 days, I have called out and get in these crazy bouts of depression. When I call out, I get depressed cuz I know I'm disappointing everyone so I call out more cuz I feel ashamed and then I end up quitting or getting fired. It's getting really hard. IDK what to do. I feel like I should be doing more, but don't have skills and working takes up all the time I could be using to gain skills but when I'm working, I'm too tired to wanna do anything to gain skills and then when I don't have a job, I'm too focused on getting another job to try to gain more skills. I'm fucked. This is really hard. It's just like you said, there really is some kind of disconnect somewhere.

I literally asked the almost 90 year old master of my local zen center how to figure out what to do in life and he said "try things." So I've been trying lots and lots of things lol
