Every single person that talks about drinking with Andre gets that PTSD look in the eye.
Much like people that talk of smoking with Willy Nelson.
PTSD
@James Rhodes hey yo never got a response hell yeh Uuh Soee
RIP Andre the gentle, handsome giant. Never to be forgotten.
Andre the giants French stage name was Le Géant Ferré. he took great pride in it because of his French origins.
Until recently the “Grand Ferré” was known to everyone in the French schools. His story was part of the curriculum on the 100 years war, showcasing a brave man of morals, who - abandoned by the elite - showed the courage to defend his own. According to this story some peasants - thanks to the Herculean strength of Le Grand Ferré - succeeded to defeat the English mercenaries, who attacked their village to loot. is stage name was inspired from these stories.
You should’ve seen him as Jean Ferre
I have the same condition as Andre. It is so good to hear of his life, to which I can identify. Please continue.
Really? We have the same name lol
The best part is how everyone has good stories about him , and they all respected him.
When you stand over 7 feet tall and weigh 400-500 pounds, you tend to command respect out of people.
Also, when you're an icon of near mythical proportions who dies in your 40s, only a complete asshole with a fetish for public scorn would talk trash about you on camera.
From what I understand, Andre was not exactly a cuddly, gentle giant. He was respected, and people mostly tried to stay on his good side. For some reason or another, Andre didn't like Randy Savage and King Kong Bundy (I believe), and a few others. Andre was able to restrain his elephant level power when he was in the ring with someone, but he didn't hold much back if he didn't like you. At his size, what he considers a hearty pat on the back is equivalent to a forearm smash from an average size 6' 200 lbs man. He was about as close to a comic book level force as will ever live again.
I was about to say , they had no choice or he'd KO them lol
people generally dont like talking bad about the dead
@@markrago7217 he wasnt the first. there were a couple recorded people. I can think of one guy called Maximus Thrax from ancient rome who seems to have had the same condition as Andre. He stands out because he was a roman legionaire (and contender for emperor at one point) and thus physically in peak condition.
his appearance matches up, and there are multiple tales about his size and strength that match up perfectly with the likes of andre
Bad news brown could disagree lol
There will never be another man like Andre ever again.
You got that right
The big show is 3 inches shorter and could do twice as much maybe not a nicer man but a much better worker
In all fairness that can be said about every single person on this earth
@@thatstonedvillain he coulda been the GOAT Big man in wrestling but was too lazy in his prime unfortunately.
Ain't that the truth I got to meet Andre the Giant one night after he won a battle royal at the showboat Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada I wanted his autograph but he shook my hand instead I will never forget that night meeting the greatest wrestler of all time not to mention one of the nicest people that I've ever met in my life I wish I had the opportunity to get to know Andre as a friend because everything I hear about him everyone has nothing but the nicest things to say about it but I understand not everybody gets along that's just how humans are made we all miss you Andre
Andre the Giant is like the Wilt Chamberlain of the WWE. He was simply out of this world. The stories of this guy are some Ill never forget. LLATG
Yaa I agree. But andre is even more legend..and wilt was a cheapskate..where andre always paid.
Jim Duggan mentioned that Andre once wrestled a match against Bad News Brown while having a bad case of diarrhea. He lost control and completely covered Bad News in it. Duggan was at ringside and said that once the smell hit him, it took all that he had not to throw up.
Arnold Schwarzenegger mentioned that during the filming of Conan The Destroyer, he decided to take co-stars Andre and Wilt Chamberlain out to dinner. Andre was well known for always insisting on paying the tab any time someone dined or drank with him, but Arnold wanted to pay this time so he snuck his credit card to the waiter, who'd brought him the check to the table. When Andre saw this, he looked at Arnold and said "No, you make me very angry Arnold." He then physically lifted Arnold up, carried him out of the restaurant and placed him on the roof of their car. Arnold said that Wilt Chamberlain just stood by and laughed his ass off. There's an on set photo of Arnold standing between Wilt and Andre (you can see that Wilt is the tallest) but Arnold looked like a little kid compared to them.
I don’t believe the story about Bad News from my personal dealings with him. He would not have taken that well and there is another story of News challenging Andre to a fight over The Giant using the N Word and Andre backing down. News would have killed the Giant if he shat on him 100%. Olympic medalist in Judo legit street fighter as well.
@@TheHannibalTV Bad news tells the same story, clip is on youtube. Also Andru didn't back down but aplosize to him when he comforted him about that.
I think there's also a pic of them both holding Arnold up in the air between them like a kid 😆
@@TheHannibalTV
The incident was in Mexico. The wrestlers were drinking vodka and tomato juice, or tequlila and tomato juice. Tomato juice has a laxative effect, in quantity. And you know that when Andre drank, ha drank a lot. As mentioned above, the video is out there.
I just saw an interview with Bam Bam Bigelow where he told the Andre the Giant having diarrhea on bad news Brown story he said they were in Mexico and Andre was drinking Clamato juice and Tequila all day
To me, Andre was way scarier as the GOOD guy - he was some years younger and several stone lighter. He could actually CHASE his opponent around the ring. I can't imagine a scarier foe.
He HATED being a heel. He really loved the fans, especially the kids cheering for him but Vince saw it otherwise.
He was a hell of an athlete in his younger years. He could twist you up good.
Even as a decrepit shadow of his athletic younger self, he was still strong enough to snap a man's neck with ease. He was a walking cruise ship. I'm pretty sure his fellow vets he wrestled at the very end let up and slowed things down because they knew his legs were shot, but I guarantee you if anyone got him into a rage, he could have made them regret it, possibly even without standing up from his seat. His hands were like catcher mitts. Arms the size of an average man's legs. A torso that was as thick as a refrigerator. Add in his short fuse, legendary anger towards all who crossed him, and he knew he was an imposing bone crusher, which only added to his confidence.
@@markrago7217 Walking cruise ship???
Try a walking BATTLESHIP
@@markrago7217 All that and he rarely ever worked out. (ik im a bit late). I wonder what Andre in his prime could achieve in todays worlds strongest man. (Assuming he actually trains for it). I reckon he could break so many records.
i freakin love these stories. Back in the day , men could be men !!!!
@Vincent Verona u an aspie
@Vincent Verona calm down kid. Nobody is forcing you big manly men to do anything
If you let other people stop you from doing that you're not one to begin with
I love Andre stories...he is the one dude I wish i couldve hung out with above all others.
I had my picture made with him. I was 10.i could not believe how BIG those hands were. I wish I could find it. Looked for it when my parents passed. Will never forget that man.
Flipped a car over with 4 grown men inside!! That's insane!
Reading this comment as that part plays. Can’t believe it!!! Im throwing my back out lifting my moms honda 😂
LoL 🤣 you'll believe anything 😜
What's crazy is that despite being unnaturally strong even for a man his size, Andre never actually worked out! lol
This story is told by several people. Facts💪🏻💪🏻
Each one of these gentlemen is a part of my childhood. My Dad and I would watch WWF on Sundays at noon. Thanks for the memories.
Andre a true legend.... RIP Boss
So awesome seeing these guys who are still alive, especially Marty Jannetty. He was great!
Marty was such a great talent. I hate to see Vince use him as a jobber towards the end of his career.
"Marty Jannetty, still can't walk!
I'm just a Sexy Kurt! (Sexy Kurrrrrrrt)
I'll make your ankle hurt! (Ankle Hurrrrrrt)
"he'd do another one BAAAHHRROOOOOM"
LOL
It's sad hearing the drinking stories when you realize that Andre was drinking so much because he was in constant pain.
Seriously. He was literally a gentleman.
I was just about to write that as well Andre had a lot of pain in his legs and back for a long time I think drinking was to relieve his pain.
Also, he knew he wasn't going to live that long regardless. He probably was like "look, I'm big enough to drink a truckload of beer before I feel anything, and my heart is going to give before I even get a chance of having liver failure, I'm going to drown my chronic pain"
the pain mustve been unbelieveable.
Why do you say he was in so much pain?
Hillbilly Jim seems like a wonderful guy.
He's from my hometown he's a real nice person
I wanna drink with any of those dudes.
I just posted that I never saw a Hillbilly shoot before, but man he seems like he can tell a great story. Gotta go back and watch his full shoot.
Yeah, he seems great, but his Hall of Fame speech is still going. Lol!
R.I.P. Andre the Giant
That's the best story ever at the end! Imagine, "One night, Andre the Giant Dusty Rhodes and 1/2 of the Killer Bees were riding in a Cadillac!" Wow!
It was a Lincoln Continental they were driving in, not a Cadillac
I used to drive a 1976 Lincoln Continental Town Car, which was huge as the Cadillac Sedan deVille. So I can imagine that ride with two big guys.
What's very awesome about that story is that B. Brian Blair got to drive around with the former undefeated NWA World Tag Team Champions.
Sound like the making of a hell of a comedy movie
Good stuff. That Brian Blair story was really good. I would love to see a animated show of Andre stories.
Stop motion action claymation?
I liked that one because I’m from Jackson Mississippi
I didn't realize how great Hillbilly Jim tells a story! I don't think i've seen any of his shoots before. Now I've gotta go back and watch em because he seems to really be a good one to tell a story.
I can't imagine with what the business is now, people having great stories like these.
RIP to the rear suspension of the vehicle that had Andre and Dusty in it lol
The fact that Andre was able to hide is amazing.....
I thought the same thing where rhe hell.did he hide lol
Getting hit by Andre must have felt like getting hit with a frozen turkey
That weighs 500 lbs
More like an ostrich
more like getting kicked by a horse
Lmao! What man he was!
More like a Mac truck.
I remember watching these guys wrestling. It's just not the same anymore.
My mother once served Andre the Giant his dinner. She was working at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, it was the night before Wrestlemania 4. He offered her a seat at his table, and asked her to have dinner with him. She said no thank you. When I asked her why, she said it was because he had 4 supermodels in evening gowns sitting with him.
Your pants are on fire
@@Dean-ul8rj she also waited on David hassellhoff, he sat a table sometime 88/89. ordered long Island ice teas, and steamed oysters. He sat in quiet and read the weekly world news. Left with no tip.
I’ve heard several stories about him lifting up cars. Stuff of legend. There will never be another giant like Andre
Wish we could have andre back just for 2 shows to show these young guys how it's done
Love these, Andre was an incredible human being. He made sure everyone was on point in the ring, and enjoyed his life outside. The fact that he never complained...what a legend.
The saddest thing is he was only 48 years old when he passed. I always thought he was much older when in reality he was still a young human being
46
I will never get tired of André the giant story’s .
I love how everybody respects Dusty so much that they can give their representation of him with his awesome accent if they can.. such respect to Dusty even though this is an Andre story..
when you're so drunk you slap Andre on the back to try to show off to your friends..................it's time to stop drinking
My dad was the floor director for the wrestling show at WRAL 5 in Raleigh NC in the early to mid 70’s and I can remember the stories he would tell. My pop would have a case of beer in his truck ( a 72 bronco) on ice when he knew Andre was coming. Somewhere there’s a picture of Andre leaning on the roof of that bronco with the better part of that case of beer empty sitting on the top. There was also a slight dent in the roof from where his elbow was resting on it. Dad couldn’t ever quite get it out. Lol. His old farm is only about an hour away from where I live. I know why he loved it there , it is a beautiful area in a hilly area just north of Rockingham NC. Some of his ashes are scattered there. God Rest the Giant. That’s not the only story dad had but maybe another day.
Ellerbe, North Carolina 💚💌
That last story is the best Giant and Dusty story ever told!
I can't be the only one who wants to hear an Andre fart. 🤣
Probably sounded like a Diesel engine backfiring......
@FtTX79 You'd love to taste one
Probably would sound like a dragon roaring...
Their is a story about him farting on the set of princess bride. Apperently it lasted like a solid 20 seconds long and stopped the whole production
He took a dump on bad new brown during a match
Hannibal. I know this is off subject my dude. But i just watched a documentary about u and damn dude you have my 110% respect. Plus u wrk your ass off. Keep it up brother! RESPECT!!
I shined his boots when I was a kid. Well, actually I did one boot, he laughed, gave me a $20 dollar bill and shook my hand told me I was done I looked at Ricky Romero and he got me his and Andre's autograph and my 10 year old self said "Thank you Mr. Giant, Mr. Romero" and I got me a memory I will never forget. That was when he was young and had the biggest fro I have ever seen and man was he good for his size. I remember the match as he took on two guys, one was Bad, Bad LeRoy Brown and some guy who took the beating because LeRoy got his cigar shoved down his throat by Andre. Andre pinned both together in like 5 minutes, I got my hand slapped by Andre as he went out, grabbed my shoe shine kit and went to make some money.
Thats awesome. Cheers
Now go home and getcha f**kin shinebox!
Just love these stories! Most wrestlers are just good old guys..
That was great. Especially the part with Andre and Dyst at the end. I haven't laughed that much in ages. Picturing drunk Dusty covered in piss screaming lmao
Well he got warmed up at least.
RIP Andre the Giant, May 19, 1946 - January 27, 1993
Andre loved life...He drank more when his back pain was immense just to be able to put on a show for the fans.Dont get me wrong.Andre drank like a fountain. But you know what.....The man was and always will be a legend. And as far as I'm concerned....a true Gentle Giant.
RIP MY FRIEND.
He may have been the only person when they died condolences were sent to the distillers apologising for their loss.
And yes I've never heard anyone speak a bad word against him, I wish he was still with us.
I am glad he didn't take opiates for pain . Imagine the amount of pills he'd have to take. No physician would want to be responsible for prescribing him medicine . And I wouldn't even want to contemplate Andre going through opiate withdrawals. He'd have probably killed someone.
My stepfather has had 5 back surgeries. Man is in a constant state of pain...has a pain/alcohol tolerance that would put a horse to shame.
@@jamesbaggett7223 When men were men.Your stepfather has the upbringing of 'You don't let pain get in the way of work.'
@@duanekennard3298 saw the man tear his biceps about 18yrs ago. He was teaching me to curl a 50lb dumbell and the chair shifted hyperextending his arm. He plopped the weight down, went in the next room then came out poured a glass half full of Evan Williams, lit a Marlboro Red and said "That f**king sucks"
I would have liked to see Andre go at the food challenges.
The challenge would be not running out of food.
I was playing basketball in college back in the late 80's and early 90's and our team is flying out to Boston. In walks a bunch of wrestlers. The Million Dollar Man and Greg the Hammer! It was awesome. Hammer had what looked like a stainless steel suit case with a bunch of stickers on it. He was either tired or hung over or both but he was totally cool and friendly. He spoke low and deep, "Hey man how ya doing?" It was really cool and I remember it all these years later.
The end of that last story made my jaw drop laughing as well as in amazement. Holy crap.
Chris Jerico is starting to looking like Greg Valentine
Greg looks like the old lady on your block that listens to a police scanner for gossip.
🤣
Johan Smallberries That's actually amazing!😭😂
😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘
@@johansmallberries9874 if my whole family weren’t sleeping right now I would be laughing my ass off!!!
Old man? He died when he was 46 Andre never lived long enough to become an old man.
Fucking youth!
He was really young.
No one who suffered acromegaly/gigantism like Andre did has lived a long life.
His growth disorder made him age quicker towards the end of his life.
The piss getting spilled was hilarious ! Great ending story. I can imagine Andre drunk and laughing at that in the car. It might have been one of those times when it's hard to stop laughing. I crack up just thinking about it.
I shudder to think what would have happened if the cooler emptied over Andre instead of Dusty. Yikes.
@@jamesbellefeuille2926 What I dont get is were they pissing in the cooler they were taking the beers out of?
@@johnkolko5199 In this case, ignorance is bliss. Yuck!
All these guys seem like just the best people. No wonder I worshiped them when I was a kid
Man Blair looks phenomenal. Looks like he still has a few matches left in him
He really does!
I love listening to their Andre stories. You can see how they brighten up when talking about him
Greg “The Hammer “ Valentine one of my favorites.
Andre is my fav ever I met him as a kid in Germany he was such a nice guy
This is a weird one but Andre did so much good for wrestling with people that probably didn’t at the time understand his plan but his hard work has become a legacy
Poor Marty....one of my favourite wrestlers growing up. Sad that he went downhill so badly.
He looks healthy enough , just looks like he either just got out of bed or is half drunk 😸
He's fine.
When he said i drank 8 and then chuckled i died 💀
The Irish playwright Samuel Beckett used to drive him to school in the back of his truck ...
I can only imagine that if he was even slightly more agile, he would have made Haku look small and making Haku look small is insane as a concept alone.
In 2021 I went to his ranch in Ellerbe NC. It was on a county hwy but had the sign AFJ lane or something like that. I didnt go up the driveway for not knowing whk owned it, but it was still pretty cool to be at his property
I bet Dustin Rhodes would have been howling at Brian Blairs story!
I used to hear these stories and laugh. Now that I know more about his story, most of them make me sad.
The last story is pretty hilarious because he was about to say, I had to clean the car the next morning.. RFL!
Never forget: Ray Rougeau was the first person to ever beat Hollywood Hulk Hogan...and it was for the belt...AT A HOUSE SHOW!
Your interviews are addictive.=)
Andre patted me on the head when 6 years old at the fair in in ellerbee nc an I will never forget it he was huge
Andre such a HUGE Legend wow Superstar Billy Graham another Legend🤘🤼♂️💪💕
Greg Valentine looks like Momma from Throw Momma for the Train.
lol also Momma Fratelli from the Goonies XD
Anne Ramsey
B. Brian Blair‘a Dusty impression.
LOL
I would love to meet Hillbilly Jim 🙂
that Brian Blair story had me crying laughing. Great stuff.
You guys need to put together a video of Andre snapping on people. These Boy's have some funny stories to be told. I would have loved to drink with Andre. That would leave anyone with good memories to look back on.
There's a story about Andre on the set shooting a scene in The Princess Bride. The Giant let loose a 16-second fart. Sixteen seconds.... fuck.
That would be a good DVD extra
@@TheHannibalTVYes it would! according to Cary Elwes, he has a smile on his face, eyes closed, while gently rocking side to side. Which I can totally see lol. In the wrestling world it was known he could on demand, and would "crop dust" opponents he didn't particularly like in the ring.
Valentine looks like my aunt lol
Poor uncle
Someone needs to collect all the stories, not just about Andre, in one huge book.
That's a great dusty impression😂👉
There will never be a promo man better than Dusty, Flair or Hogan

That one had me cracking up too. 😅
Another great video. Love listening to these stories. Keep em coming. RIP Andre
Marty Jannetty was blasted on something, Jesus, with the slurring and wandering eyes. :D
lol the giant fart story on the train had me broken
That Andre impression was great lol
@7:23 wow Marty Jennetty looks way old. He looks like Shawn Michaels grandfather.
I'm happy hes a guest in final fight. =)
LMAO @ B.Brian's Dusty Rhodes impression. Spot on!
Marty looking like Brian Johnson these days
Hit you with that dropkick Marty Jannetty
The way 2 Cold Scorpio describes it, I can imagine his neck being shortened by about three inches. If Andre wanted to hurt someone in the ring--or outside it--he could.
As an aside, Marty Jannetty...geez, time and injuries and (maybe) drug use have not been kind to him at all.
B. Brian Blair does a great Dusty Rhodes impersonation.
Jake Robert's sound like Stone Cold Steve Austin if he had a drinking problem.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very important information giving thanks blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💪💪💪
