Thanks for tuning in. Hopefully you enjoyed tje video. I really enjoyed this car. Especially the space inside, the three-cylinder engine was quite fast. Thanks to engine mounts with fluid in them, you felt almost no vibration from the engine in the cabin and the handling of the car. It really gave me a go-kart feeling. What I didn't like was the sound from the speakers, slow screen and the lower part of the steering wheel. My hands slipped through the plastic of the handlebars.
I once owned a second-generation Swift (2012 1.4). I think you’re referring to the third generation. Unfortunately, I haven’t driven that one. Personally, I found the second generation to be rawer and allowed for higher revs. Now, with all the electronics, the new one does move forward, but hey, everything was better back in the day 😅
With this car and similar models, you always need to downshift for quick acceleration. Trying to accelerate from 100 km/h in 5th gear lacks sufficient torque.
Exterior looks a bit like a downgrade from the previous gen but it's still very nice, a very different looking car from the rest and very cute. Interior looks stunning for a car of its price too, reminds me of the less expensive mazda models; simple but well designed and it doesn't look cheap at all. Ride quality seems very comfy too.
The interior looks great...outside I prefered the previous shape but what puts me off from buying this Swift is that 3 cylinder hybrid engine...I currently have previous shape..😊
For convenience and comfort I would go for a CVT. But it's not worth the money to me. In the Netherlands you will spend €5,000 more than the base model with manual transmission. In addition, it will not be cheap if it needs to be repaired.
@@GDrives_NL Yeah, it is pretty much the same scenario in Mexico (where I live in). Since this is a CVT (I know this is not a fast car), I am worried if the swift 2025 will have enough power to pass other cars or even to speed up in freeways.
The swift has enough power to overtake cars. You will only have to downshift with each overtake. How good will that be for the CVT? Don't forget to put your earplugs in for every overtake 😁 I think it will produce quite a bit of noise too.
The previous version was already quite quiet. The question I had before the test drive, a three cylinder will be more restless than the 4 cylinder. but in practice it was all positive. Because there is fluid in the engine mounts, the vibrations are well absorbed. As you can see I drove at both high and low speeds. Both felt very comfortable. Little to no vibrations noticed.
@@macko2903 there is no oil in the mounts. In hydraulic engine mounts the fluid is mostly a mix of water and glycol. You should replace them when they leak fluid or when they wear out.

I have swift too. Handles nice and engine feels faster then its 0-60 suggests. Big enough for every day use. Screen is slow. You drive aggressively in wet so kudos to you. Your steering wheel differs to mine. Mine is further to the right and you drive on wrong side of road.
The car feels faster than the specs suggest, with its compact yet spacious design giving it a go-kart-like feel that tempts me to drive aggressively. But remember, kids, it's important to drive safely and stay on the correct side of the road, like most of the world's population does 😝

Choosing between the Suzuki Swift and the Toyota Yaris depends on individual preferences and priorities. Here are some considerations: Suzuki Swift: -The Swift is more affordable - Easier to maneuver and park, particularly in urban environments. -Mild Hybrid System, Good for those looking for a simpler, potentially more reliable hybrid system. Toyota Yaris: - The Yaris has a more modern interior with a larger digital instrument cluster and advanced multimedia system. - Full Hybrid Options: More powerful and fuel-efficient with up to 130 PS, and an option for a high-performance GR model. - Offers advanced safety features like collision avoidance support at junctions. I would choose the Toyota Yaris due to its advanced technology, more powerful and efficient hybrid options, and comprehensive safety features. While it is more expensive, the added benefits and features provide greater value, especially for those seeking a more refined and technologically advanced driving experience.
All Swift versions except the Sport get the 3 cylinder 1.2 liter hybrid engine. It is still unknown to me what kind of engine the Sport version and the other models will have.
According to factory values, the fuel efficiency is an average of 4.4 liters per 100km (highway and city driving). With my driving style in the video that is of course not feasible :)
i kinda like the interior, i think two tone stands it out in a good way but old cluster gauges looked so good. cant compare the exterior though, i dont want to be mean but new gen sucks, previous gen was epic, lets wait until they reveal the sport
The interior and exterior are perfectly balanced. Kudos to Suzuki for maintaining performance despite one fewer cylinder. The new model exudes maturity with its cleaner lines and standard LED lighting. While the old cluster gauges had a sportier appeal, the new design seamlessly integrates with the current generation, resulting in a more mature look. I'm also intrigued by the sports version. A dual exhaust would certainly enhance the car's aesthetics. We shall see :)
@@GDrives_NL yeah the reason i liked the old cluster because it was sporty, these arent bad too and does suit the new interior, but nah bro you cant defend that exterior, especially the front end, that hood design is not good period. im not saying its horrible looking car but its %100 a downgrade from the previous design. 3 cylinder sounds nice though. now i wonder what engine they will use for sport version, my guess is probably revised 1.4 booster jet? or new 3 cylinder turbo fighter jet? its exciting honestly.
I see your point. In the old generation, the front looked like a single unit, but in the new one, the hood is distinct. When I compared both versions side by side, imho the new one definitely stands out, maybe because of its sleek headlights. The older one had more curves, but I think it's a bit less pronounced now.
