The sound cue is without a doubt the most difficult part of this glitch, but here’s my take on how to do it in order to save you from many failed attempts (as a guy who failed enough to figure this out): -When playing a memory, you may get the full sound, a shortened version of the sound, and the *shortest* version of the sound. Only the shortest version will work for this glitch, and you kinda have to train your ear for a while in order to distinguish it. You can do it the hard way and keep entering/exiting Nachoyah, but it isn’t fullly reliable and you may mess up the order of your save files, which is also important. -In my experience, pressing B, waiting for a brief moment and the pressing A and - almost simultaneously (but A still gotta be first) has given me more consistent results. Doing several attempts per minute is also what allowed me to train my ear and look for the shortest sound effect. Pressing - after performing the glitch will let you know whether you did it correctly if you see the memories tab with just the black background, though unfortunately this cancels the succesful attempt and you have to do it again. It can still be a way to get the feel of this glitch and do it more consistently.
@cambodiaball I think the first day I got it to work only once or twice after many attempts. But I also invested a lot of time in figuring out how to make it more consistent. I did many consecutive tries and when it worked once, I took a screen recording. That could be a way to replay the video and get used to the difference between the shortest sound effect and the one that doesn’t actually work. I’d say by attempting this glitch exclusively, you could reproduce it with 100% degree of certainty in around 3-4 days. 100% not meaning that you’ll do the button presses right all the time, but rather that you won’t spend time going in and out of Nachoyah when you know it didn’t work, and so you can try again right away.
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this helpful comment (thanks to Suishi for pinning the comment as well as making this video). Finally got it to work after 2+ hours over 3 different days. I was about to give up before I read this comment. And then I started just listening more carefully to the sound cues after playing a memory. What finally worked was using my forefinger for the B button and middle finger for the A button. Kind of rolling the wrist with the fingers straight, to get the timing right between the B and A inputs. On the left side, I held my thumb on the D-up with my forefinger on the - button. Again it was kind of a rolling motion with the hand moving away from me so as I hit the - button my thumb would immediately release the D-up. This is using a Pro controller. I had also tried it with the joycons without success. Another side effect of the glitch: when I picked up the Hylian shield from the docks under the castle, it’s 90 instead of 60! Not sure why, but I’ll take it.
10:08 Or just do + > Spam R, spam dpaddown, A up A, that gets you to title screen now just load your file. That way, you don't have to worry about save file placing too. It's also way easier to hit in my experience than the load menu. great video!
I found another msg armor, if you escape catching zelda and unlock your menu by opening a chest of picking up a new item, you will see a blank armor piece. my guess is its links og arm and you can completely undo rauru and sonias spell
Okay, i finally did it. The most annoying part is activating the memory and closing the journal in time. Not only is the timing very strict, but there's also a false positive, where i hear the audio cue, but the shrine still loads normally. I think the difference is, if it worked, the audio gets cut out almost immediately, but if your timing is off, more of the audio will play.
You’re absolutely right. I think he could’ve explained it a bit more in this video because otherwise it can be very time consuming, but most importantly, it can mess up the autosaves if you keep going in and out of Nachoyah several times. I really got into this glitch and figured out by myself that the shortest version of the audio was the only one that worked. Also, pressing B and then waiting a brief moment before pressing A and - almost at the same time has given me more consistent results.
The false positive is definitely something that I ran into and spent more than a little time on. The issue is that there was no good way to properly highlight or effectively narrow down that cue enough without it becoming more or less unintelligible. Best compromise I could find was just highlighting the speed of the inputs and how they need to be at nearly the same time.
I downgraded 2 days ago just for this. Worth it tbh. Eta: you'll 'pick' up the temple hearts, you'll get the extra heart, but you're told you can't pick it up, and the container stays until you have less than 30 hearts and pick it up. I think the absolute max might be 40, but that looks very untidy as you'll get a 3rd row with just 10. I'm gonna test later.
@@SuperEkkorn the game let's you have 40 hearts but displays 15 hearts per row, so you end up with over 2 rows. Useless but looks cool (can be easily gotten by just upgrading hearts normally)
@lightos_ thank you! Happy to learn my theory was correct. Granted, i hoped i could max out another row, but im happy with the two i have. So I'll just keep selling the surplus 😉
With the gsi heart, the 6 temple hearts, and the bargainer heart, you can get to 38 hearts already. Only having to do 8 more shrines to max out health. Wow.
You can do this on RUclips as well, click the three dots to the right tilte of a video title in the home or subscription menu, or in the top right of a short, and then click "don't recommend this video." You can also click "not interested" to not see similar videos, although it doesn't work to well.
If you zuggle equipment on the file outside the Nachoyah shrine you can bring it over into the new save since zuggling persists across loads to make a ng+ file. You just have to pick up a stick, bow, and shield on gsi to get access to the zuggled items.
@@AkashThePersonyou would have to factory reset your switch. It will delete everything though, so use the save data cloud if you really want to downgrade.
😅 So many try and I got it to work. Lol you do make it simple to understand. I have seen other videos but they don't talk in the video or break it down so anyone can understand
Little side note: you also get to keep the Decayed Sword as long as you follow all the rules that are in numerous videos on how to keep it already. I love storing that, then an MSG on either side, as a room in my house. Bonus side note: The MSG sword obtained through THIS method is very slightly different than the one obtained in any other method so far. It has NO hilt glow, meaning when you put it away, it's identical to the normal Master sword, and doesn't have that little glow coming from the sheath like the others do. It also glows all the time, both with the glowing effects around the sword and the blue blade color as well, meaning it looks just like the Master Sword in BotW after upgrading it to permanent 60 damage. I personally prefer this MSG- you might like the other one though. ANOTHER Bonus side note: IF YOU WISH TO 100% THE GAME, DO NOT PICK UP OR GET ANY NEW HEART CONTAINERS! You can take in 1 more heart container than max after doing the glitch. Do NOT take any until you come to a quest that gifts one- I don't know what happens when you can't take either, but I just finished the GP Bargainer Statue quest and had to take in the extra heart there to continue. Also, DO NOT UPGRADE THE MSG SHIRT. It turns into the tunic of memories, which is 100% less cool.
I have been trying to get MSG for a long time but it is somewhat tedious and I was looking for an easy method but it is the same. Is there a method that can do it but in less time?
Your guide at 6:34 will be too risky for others who will try it for the first time. Dude, you're doing it wrong. You should ALWAYS place the manual save at the bottom, like what Game is Lifer did to his guide to prologue Link. Placing the manual save at the bottom gives you a safer way to load the prologue save when you're about to load it at infinite loading. Even if you have done the audio cue right, that doesn't mean you have 100% done the banc storage because sometimes the game will still load, and after entering the shrine, it will create an autosave, and if they follow your guide, it will surely mess up everything when they are about to load the prologue save at 9:16
