You make it look so easy! The first time I cleared the final trials in Master mode, instead of grabbing the Master Sword, I wind-bombed out-of-bounds to explore. But then I was unable to come back to the monk chamber, since with a single stamina ring you cannot avoid a void plane that keeps you out of it (you respawn on the great terrain outside). I got self-jebaited.
a long time ago i watched your speedrun to copy the beginning trials strats; glad to have this now for the other floors i haven’t finished yet. great vid :)
I remember when I first played the trial of the sword. Master mode with the minimum required hearts and I didn't know about food buffs staying when going into the trial. The beginning trials are easily the hardest imo
That was awesome! I think with some of those strats I can finally legitimatly beat the final trial, till now I always failed somewhere over and over again until I gave up and used the glitch method
The fact that I already use stasis+ on First Lizard and sneakstrike chains on the rest on the Lizard Floor (no number needed, everyone knows the Lizard Floor) makes me feel like a Pro Gamer
Lynels? Meh. Guardians? Eh. Darkness, fire, ice, thunder and lightning? Shrugs. That one lizalfos floor in the beginning trials: *Terror incarnate. All tremble* But no fr, that lizalfos floor is INFAMOUS
I ended up discovering a skip for the middle trials abusing the horse minigame wrong warp. You can set it up, spawn at the tower south of Rito Village, enter the middle trials, void, and then infinite jump towards the dome. There's a spot around the dome that doesn't have collision, and so you can fall right through it. Completely useless in speedruns (just doing the trial is faster than setting all this up) but as someone who finds ground clips and shield clips quite difficult, this was a fun way to cheese the middle trials.
I definitely agree that Floor 10 is devilish. When I hit it on my first casual run I thought I'd never finish the trials, and I spent more time on it than on any other floor.
Beginning Floor 10 is definitely the hardest. It all depends on if the blue lizalfos alerts the others or not. If it does, you might as well just reset right away. Also, if the silver lizalfos fall in the water, say goodbye to about 5 minutes.
excellent, looking forward to watching! I'm on my second play through (in master mode this time) and while I love the game's combat (effectively combat puzzles unless you just want to break weapons to make ugly cheese), now that I'm seeing gold enemies all the time mistakes are very punishing. And I'm dreading the trial of sword. 😂 ETA: i thought my sneakstriking was good but you predictably are like 100x better😮 Also, the piggyback-nintendo official hardback botw guide (a really nice looking book i might add) recommenda exactly the strategy you mention for room 10 and says it might be the hardest combat challenge in the game. (so yes it was heavily playtested and its inclusion is very intentional)
You assume that the people writing the guide after the DLC released were the same as the people who were playtesting the trial before it released, or had any communication with the decision makers or any say in the matter. I think it's quite possible that it was not playtested on master mode, and rather than try to bother the devs about patching the room which probably wouldn't have happened anyway, the guide writers just came up with the cheese strats after the fact and published them.
My first time i faced the blue lynel, i didnt know what ancient arrows did lol. I went the entire game without using them unless it was a guardian bc they were rare. Needless to say i fought it normally, and finished with half a heart, no food, and freezing to death lol. I forgot i had a meteor rode so i got out without picking up any loot, and then quickly froze to death in the next room
We know that waiting for text to fade in a shrine reduces load times which makes me wonder if that might also apply to the trial room loads. Maybe there's a certain amount of delay to effectively speed it up?
I really enjoy the commented speedruns, especially for categories I don't really know yet. It's just different when the goat explains it to you

“For some reason nobody runs it”
I think they have PTSD from room 10 with the Lizals
That stupid room made me rage quit my favourite game 3 times.
It was a great run, and loved the commentary.

Your both speedruns skills and commentary skils are insane, i love ur vids

Babe, wake up, a new Player5 video dropped
No way I just watched ur run from a while back because I was trying to find strats for my regular master mode playthrough like a week ago
That was awesome! I think with some of those strats I can finally legitimatly beat the final trial, till now I always failed somewhere over and over again until I gave up and used the glitch method
Laughing at your own lava joke is Dad level humor. Gg.
Lovely explanation for your strats!
full body chills
Very good explanation of the run, thank you !!!
17:04 you know what else is massive? 18:19
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that
@spicycorn4 we are the ones whose brain has been rotted into nothingness
cool run and great commentary :)

Floor 10 without sneak strikes in MM is the hardest part of botw by far

Dude thank you so much! I finally beat begging trials after 10+ attempts! Ty
These commentary videos are the best!
Loved your commentary!
I know it's just a speedrun, but to sprint past those fairies for the first time hurt my soul

If Player 5 uploads a Video the day is save.
Oh thanks for this tuto🎉

The Dark Part of the middle Trials are the worst rooms in the entire trials everything else (except room 10 in the beginner trials) is doable
YIPPIE one of my favourites
14:00 I didn’t know he could struggle😭
Poor Nikko from "100 percent Zelda" definetly could benefit from some of this info

Wait, a P5 video to start of 2025? Off to a good start

I don't think anyone playtested floor 10 in normal mode either.
How is it possible to have 29 hearts and still max stamina? Btw Room 10 was a nightmare the first time playing Master Mode haha great run!
This guy is simply amazing 👍👍
Room 10 master mode was so hard casual. I died so many times.
Did you know that if you go counterclockwise on floor 19, the guardians never wake up to snipe at you?
totk any% guide next?! 🤔
totk is shit game
@Bloodhueog no
the legend himself
Great video
P5 back with a video
I would guess runners don’t do this category because it’s soooooooooooooo long in comparison to standard botw runs. ADHD brain is real
How are your thumbnails so good?
I'VE NEVER EVEN MADE IT TO FLOOR 11!
How do you have 3 full stamina wheels and 29 hearts? I thought even with dlc you still have to be missing two stamina vessels or heart containers
Those are temporary wheels from eating endurance food before beginning the run
Is this youre run?
🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, I never even managed to beat the first trial in normal mode 😂
Did beat Zelda 2 deathless though.
Master Mode Floor 10 in Beginner Trial was the worst.
Had watched quite a lot Videos to see how one can beat this Madness.
The hardest room is floor 10 beginning trials like you said floor 3 middle trials is also bad but nowhere close
I would run this category but i'm too dicks at the game and can't be bothered to improve
!lurk
i like femboys
Floor 10 is so ass
HOW DID I SEE THIS AT 29 SECONDS AGO
