The Exchange 106 is a nice looking building, and with the planned buildings with a similar style surrounding it will give the district a really nice distinctive look. Similarly, KL Metropolis has some decent designs. I particularly appreciate sizeable green areas being designed in, and not just some overly optimistic trees on balconies.

I'm from Germany and visited Kuala Lumpur in August 2022. It is such a beautiful, modern and impressive city! I love how old and traditional buildings are directly next to skyscrapers, how multicultural it is with many cultures and religions living next to each other, and I like how a lot of nature and trees are incorporated directly into the city architecture, you have jungles right next to skyscrapers. Another beautiful and impressive part of Kuala Lumpur is I-City with its colorful light park at night. Malaysia is such a beautiful country 🇩🇪❤🇲🇾
As someone who has been living in Kuala Lumpur for 30 years (my entire life), I am really excited to see B1M make another video about KL. However, I want to stress that the traffic in Kuala Lumpur is getting worse from year to year. This is one of main reasons why I would never buy a car in KL. Even travelling in the suburbs is scary. There are too many high density, 40 story condominiums. For example, within 1 kilometer of my home in Wangsa Maju, there are 10 condominium projects currently being developed. On average, each of these projects consists of 2,000 units. So, in 5 years, population density here will increase by three or four folds. The only LRT line in Wangsa Maju here already at maximum capacity several years ago. I was a bit relieved a few months ago when the government approved the MRT circle line project that will connect all rail lines in KL to reduce the traffic issue. I really hope that this will not be cancelled again if there is government change in the future.
Then ensure you do not for PH if you dont want any infrastructure projects to be cancelled. Actually according to Original plan in the year 2024 we could have ecrl, HSR, lrt phase 4,mrt circle line all completed

10 years after President Lyndon’s visit, US, German and Japanese companies invested heavily in Penang, setting up their manufacturing plants there. Companies like HP, Intel, Motorola, Osram, Bosch, AMD, Hitachi and others have heavy presence in Malaysia. They are reaping their fruits after 50 years. Go USA! Malaysia!
Kau diamla cina. Penang is a malay state. U cine think u can do whatever u want. U just wait we will take back penang from u cine. If gov still soft with cine military will do the work and rakyat too. U see 13 mei will return
high end developments come in the midst of rising housing prices without any meaningful affordable housing scheme baked into. a malaysian here has to ask, who are these fancy buildings for? just neverending property speculation while vacant units keep on growing? not to mention how insanely car-centric these developments are. TRX is incredibly confusing and inconvenient to walk around if you get there by train.
If skyscrapers aren't made with investments and profits in mind, they would actually be more affordable than standard sized housing. It is compact and effective use of the space. Only reason it's so expensive is because clowns buy them to sell them later as long term investment, instead of living in them.
It's the same story world wide, when housing becomes a commodity to speculate and profit from, homes for people to live in become secondary, even tertiary, interests.
Great video, but Kuala Lumpur definitely doesn't have a real lack green spaces. It's got greenery all over the city. Lots of buildings also integrate vegetation on terraces, etc. This new development will definitely make it greener than it already is though.
not to forget that some green areas are actually super huge golf courses. haha. but regardless, a lot is car- centric where if u dont have a car, forget about travelling to them.
@@lonelypizza9394 Penang is for food, historical places and culture diversity. It's really nice developed island. I'd really like SE Asia to do well. They have been the underdogs for such a long time and need their time to shine. Malaysia and Singapore are two countries that I'm most optimistic about, and I really hope some military junta doesn't take power like in Myanmar. Please, build a democracy while you still can.
And so do Indonesia and Philippines, because we are far more underdog than those you pointed out. Vietnam and Thailand, Laos, Cambodia should've given more credits too.
In 2018 we’ve just able to vote down Najib who has stole money from this trx project. Thank god the new government took over the project and let it goes on. Or else it will be the biggest abandoned project in history

@@masteroffear5762 well, obviously it would be better if all these countries succeeded. I just think it's less likely for different reasons (mainly selling out to China, corruption and authoritarianism)

I really love these videos, but one thing that I find super annoying is the throwing around of big numbers with zero context. For example here at 4:16. Very cool that the complex reduces it's water usage by 200 Olympic-size swimming pools. But that tells you nothing about how good it actually is, when you don't know how much they consume in total. For all I know a typical development consumes 2 million swimming pools a year and this facility's capacity is totally negligible.
@@leealex24 I can't remember because this comment was seven months ago but didn't they show a photo from 35 years ago? I don't think I just picked a random number.
It is almost no risk for a place where it has excellent project development with plenty of grade A office, good transportation system and located within strategic location. It will definitely attract outside company to reside a hub there.
@@dariusz501 you should note that every year the occupancy rate in KL continues to decrease. Thus you can predict as the new office space continues to be offfered to market, the occupancy downtrend will further continue also, and until some extent, it will be an alert to property business.
Because almost all the gov administration moved to Putrajaya. It was not only for offices but also hotels, malls & various fine dining restaurants . In every building they will put GLC’s office and balance it with private commercial .
In the end, new buildings will be appreciated while old buildings will be left. Many offices at old, dilapitated towers will relocate to fancy new buildings and the cycle continues.
I love how they're presumably building several tall buildings because land is scarce and they want to maximise returns per sq ft, but there's a massive golf course across the street about 4x the size of the entire development😆
The golf course is a gazetted park, eventhough it’s just next to KL CBD, it was technically not part of KL, but was a part of Selangor state which surrounded KL. Only later when the border of KL expanded the park became part of KL.
Here is the video about the golf course land size. Unfortunately, Malaysia devoted some huge plots of lands to golf courses in prime areas. ruclips.net/video/i9I3SoBr8ss/видео.html

@@jimli3604 you're saying as if the entire peninsula is connected by KTM lines. When in fact it doesn't even go all the way down south. Malaysia has a relatively small population, so maybe the government only focuses on the development of Kuala Lumpur because it wants its people to move to Kuala Lumpur to be more productive. Some of the roads in TRX city already completed you can drive by using those roads to see a closer look at those towers and buildings and greenery it is beautiful can't wait to see when the city is 100% complete
Always loved this city, hope to get there in a few years!!!
Was in KL recently for 3 weeks.KL is definitely awesome. Better than old European cities, and even more efficient than London (i.e. the transport links). It's also clean. Having been in SEA a few times, this region is definitely the future.
You bet!
Thank you for complimenting our beautiful islamic country! Come back again! 🇲🇾🙌🏼☪️
Great to see the 4K videos coming back - they were the last piece of the puzzle to make this channel really top top tier :)
Go USA! Malaysia!

high end developments come in the midst of rising housing prices without any meaningful affordable housing scheme baked into. a malaysian here has to ask, who are these fancy buildings for? just neverending property speculation while vacant units keep on growing?
not to mention how insanely car-centric these developments are.
Exactly. Affordable living is laughable in KL.
foe expats oviously
It's the same story world wide, when housing becomes a commodity to speculate and profit from, homes for people to live in become secondary, even tertiary, interests.
TRX is still under construction.. How did you even get to walk there??
i am really happy to see malaysian growth, you guys deserve and we (other) have a lot to learn from you
Great video, but Kuala Lumpur definitely doesn't have a real lack green spaces. It's got greenery all over the city. Lots of buildings also integrate vegetation on terraces, etc. This new development will definitely make it greener than it already is though.
yes but really car-centric
not to forget that some green areas are actually super huge golf courses. haha. but regardless, a lot is car- centric where if u dont have a car, forget about travelling to them.
Great planning for your people's future Malaysia. 1love from 🇯🇲
Planning on visiting KL and Malaysia in general in October. Can't wait to see this amazing country.
Your always welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾
@@ahmadzakimohdnor6339 thanks man. Just want to know the best towns and places to visit
@@lonelypizza9394 Penang is for food, historical places and culture diversity. It's really nice developed island. Malacca is where you can find UNESCO historical sites like the Dutch Square, Jonker street etc. Pulau Pangkor, Perhentian and Langkawi are some of the islands in Malaysia with pristine beaches and nice resorts and hotel. The closest beach area from Kl is Port Dickson, they're okay. Kuala Lumpur is great for shopping and eating or whatever, KL has everything in between except beaches.
don't over expect too much. a few -ve 'amazing' also abounds.
If you're Asian - Japanese, Chinese/HKer, Korean, Australian South East Asian, KL is the best place in Asia to setup as base including businesses.
Malaysia dont have military Junta. Their general doesnt have power to overthrow government unlike myanmar, indonesia and thailand. but their politician suck
@@masteroffear5762 well, obviously it would be better if all these countries succeeded. I just think it's less likely for different reasons (mainly selling out to China, corruption and authoritarianism)
In Malaysia, there is no history and tradition of Malaysia military staging military coup, so there's no worries about that. And Malaysia has the highest democracy index in SEA according to The Economist, even higher than Singapore.
I always get excited when I see Fred has dropped a new video. As always, it didn't disappoint. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to B1M team for promoting malaysia.
Never stop with new projects not only in KL but other cities in Malaysia also have very expensive mega projects.

i had been to kuala lumpur few times.
Despite odern city with mrt /lrt & hidinggh rise building ... you can still find many trees.
Not only that, kuala lumpur have very nice big lake (at least 2) and also forest !

If I could remember it well, KLCC with d Petronas twin towers, was d first city within a city project in KL, n d only one that sits in d golden triangle, d prime biz district in KL. Now, there r many more city within a city projects in KL n around Malaysia.

Right on the dot!
What a transformation. They city is unrecognizable from 35 years ago. ❤️🌆
I mean every city will be changed except New York
Try 1800s Kuala Lumpur
Are you kidding? It has changed tremendously even 3-5 years ago, what 35 years!
@@leealex24 I can't remember because this comment was seven months ago but didn't they show a photo from 35 years ago? I don't think I just picked a random number.

Proud to be Malaysians. Come on Malaysians we join hands to build a better tomorrow of Malaysia community with a shared future. This is our home.
Reminds me of New York where there are multiple areas of the city seeing massive projects at once.
I'll visit when complete! The gardens look promising. Used to live in Langkawi for a year with frequent trips to KL for real shopping.
I've been to Malaysia Kuala Lumpur in 2018 and can't wait to go there again when the mega projects completed insha Allah
It is a brave move if I may say, with office occupancy rate in KL city is only around plus minus 70%.
Great video once again!
Thanks!
Akhirnya ada video untuk Malaysia. Terima kasih B1M.

One of the astonishing city in ASEAN
KL is certainly not lacking in green space as claimed. It is greener than most major cities in the world
For sure you never read any report of World greenest cities.
KL is always blue sky too.
It’s awesome how they built a skyscraper there taller than the Shanghai Tower, which hadn’t been done since the Burj Khalifa was built.
Lovedddd this !!
This is very cool, it reminds me of “one Bangkok” development a massive city within a city idea in Bangkok Thailand
TRX project construction was started on 2015 while One Bangkok was in 2018. Yeah, both project building plan are quite similar. But TRX is to cater as a financial hub where One Bangkok is a mixed-use development.
Yes, true. However the goals for each city are different. Bangkok aims to be a tourist magnet, KL is already positioning itself as a financial center, with the support of both China and Japan.
No one does it better with construction projects than The B1M .🥰🥰
How does Malaysia get away w a NEW CITY for $9 billion when we can’t even get a tram line for that in USA
Answer= Your government is busy investing heavily on military to maintain "american hagemony" and poking their noses on someone else's business on foreign soil
Do you guys realised that this video and your previous video on the Battersea Power Station are linked??
Seeing what's going on in Asia always makes me wonder how Europe and the US haven't fallen completely behind in every possible way

People are talking of Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and others - those areas Military forces left since it was desert, it is only South Africa. How can you build a new city with a budget of $9B, doesn't make sense unless Malaysia has everything, meaning the exact amount is $6 - 5B, Engineering and workers take expenditure is close to $2B. The next big project is Bandar Malaysia, on land which was previously a city airport. It has been very quiet since the high speed rail project between KL and Singapore was cancelled.
There are talks of reviving the high speed rail so who knows!
@@flyingfox3766 yea MY govt plan to revive the hsr. Hope they settle it with Singapore asap. We are years behind the original plan ady
Malaysia already has electric train and going at quite a high speed (not really high speed) but close to high speed. And the train will be connecting from north to south. Why still spend money on very expensive high speed rail?
@@jimli3604 you're saying as if the entire peninsula is connected by KTM lines. When in fact it doesn't even go all the way down south. I suspect it's due to the inception of the HSR that they cut off the route from Gemas downwards to monopolize the rail connectivity to Singapore. There was a time where I could take the sleeper train all the way into Singapore.
What's the distance between Singapore and Malaysia?
For Sure Trx wil Change Greater Kuala Lumpur
Great city but too much focus on building tall towers instead of making the city more walkable and improve transit :/
You know all these high rise mega skyscrappers are cool and all but how about diverting funds to develop the other regions of Malaysia like the East coast and East Malaysia.

Malaysia has a relatively small population, so maybe the government only focuses on the development of Kuala Lumpur because it wants its people to move to Kuala Lumpur to be more productive. The second reason, maybe because KL is a very dense region. However, as a Sabahan, I really hope that the government will develop Sabah and Sarawak becoz Indonesia will move his capital to the island of Borneo
@@nishi3154 borneo rainforest is not something u would want to destroy tho, there's a reason why development in that part are slow
@@rollinghippo2940 Development that i said it is not necessary that the government should create a new city or cut down the forest to expand the existing city. The government can demolish old buildings in every city. This is because I found many old buildings, which have burned and empty land that is left alone in around the city of Tawau (for example). In addition, the government can build a more planned landscape by upgrading public services and giving space to build footpaths covered by trees. Many buildings are useless, smelly and filled with foreigners in Sabah.
Where do you think the KL financial center and PNB offices should be located? Outside KL?
Thanks for featuring my city!
