Looks like this will fill a specific niche quite well. The closest alternative I can think of is the poly wavetable synth mode on the Disting EX. That seems to have a lot more flexibility and CV control, but requires a lot of menu diving and you need an expander for MIDI in. This looks much more immediate, and should play well with the Hermod.

I'm really liking the music you're making with the Poly Cinematic. This demo really sold me on it. Knobula should be sending you a commission check!

@@andreassteiner2275 I only wear black clothes, i love black and white line art, and my favorite song at the age of 5 was "paint it black" by the rolling stones. I know monochromatic a really solid vibe. But somehow it does not bother me so much in eurorack to have a bunch of contrasting panel designs.

I see they have a space on the front for an "audio/CV mod input’ jack - and for another little pot next to the ‘reverb’ to add a ‘mix’ knob, and with clever use of the ‘shift’ and ‘trigger’ buttons to allow added ‘mode’ states for how the module deals with the (non-existent) audio/CV mod input, this could really expand the utility of the module just with firmware upgrades moving forward either via the midi jack, or some sort of usb header on the back of the module……

I have a Blokas Midihub and I’m wondering if the parameters of the synth can be modulated via midi, it would be trivial to setup some LFOs and randomization functions with the Midihub processing and I think it would really make this synth come alive.

I’ve ordered one and they are surprisingly inexpensive, $400 Us, this will be my first eurorack set up and I’m starting with this, a swarm 411 and Behringer brain, then I’ll build around that. I got a cr8 bundle and a happy ending rack so there should be enough room for a good start. I will have to rely on my Crave, K and Nuetron for mixers an the such but I’ll make it work! I have all of the Dreadbox semi modular FX and a whole lot more! How do you think that will sound, and any suggestions? Oh yeah, it’s being playe on an Aturia key step pro and a deepmind 12.

Sad to see a lack of CV control, but it sounds really, REALLY nice :) All modules should be CV per function, like synths are 'knob per function'. Glad u got this out for us to see :)

    • @MoltenMusicTech
