This comic felt so unrealistic. Peter has dealt with death and the idea of it taking everyone he loves more than anyone in the marvel universe, and we’re supposed to believe he’s phased by this trial? To the point of quitting? When the world is on the line? Who came up with that lmao.
For real, how his reaction to this isn't that he should save the world and try his best not to let these inevitable deaths be meaningless is beyond me.
Not being able to save everybody is a reality all heroes face Peter already knows this the whole point is he keeps tying shouldering the responsibility
This has to be an act or a minor set back because the event is literally titled "Eight Deaths of Spider-Man." So he is inevitably going to have to die again! He will be pulled back into this.
watching someone you love pass slowly and not being able to do anything is unbearable and will most likely be the hardest thing anyone will have to do , my condolences to anyone who has been in that situation
I find it interesting that Peter, as the Spider Supreme, encountered two of the Scions of Cytorrak. One of whom showed him what its life for his supporting cast, Spider-Man Family, and Shay die of natural causes or something. I find it sad that Peter had to witness it and know that he can’t do anything to save them from what’s going to happen to them. Let’s hope that Peter will try to make it through with Strange’s help. Overall, this comic is good.
I think this particular challenge might help him achieve the balance between Peter Parker and Spider-man that he always struggles with. And even though she traumatized him, Cyra still pretty chill and I hope he frees her somehow
I hope Peter is able to get his lick back on Calix because that was irritating how he killed Peter when he was close to passing this trial without getting killed. And sorry for your loss, you have my condolences.
The hope I have after this story is that Peter Parker finally makes real progress in becoming a better hero and a more developed character. I get the status quo, but it feels like he's been stuck in a cycle of minor progression followed by major setbacks for far too long. This event, in particular, could be the catalyst that helps him mature-where he truly commits to wanting more, and doing more, no matter the challenge. I really enjoy the take on him in the new Ultimate Universe, but what I’d love to see is a Peter Parker who leans into his strengths as a scientist. One who embodies the motto, "With great power comes great responsibility," not just in word, but in action. I'd also like to see more of the care he has for people, with that playing a more central role in his decisions. Seeing this would make Spider-Man truly amazing. After everything Peter has been through, it’s frustrating that he’s still stuck in that “college dropout” phase, despite being so incredibly intelligent. In this story, he’s gaining experience with magic-so let’s let Peter level up, Marvel.
I really hope they capitalize on Peter knowing actual magic now. I don't really agree with the Spider-Totem thing now, but it plays really well on that story line, and I think it would be really interesting to see him solve more cases with magical threats or artifacts involved. Sorry for your loss man, you're the go-to for comic reviews for me and I appreciate all the work you put into it.
Man if you keep this up I'm going to need a dope spill comedy highlights video because the thought of handing someone a sphere then spontaneously burst into flames is very dark but also hilarious for some reason
This reminds me of Sepheroth's argument in Advent Children. His observation Cloud seeming dispassionate about life, and Cloud's response- actually i care about everything. How simplicity often overcomes the complications if ugly truths.
Hey man... i rememeber when i lost my father...nothing that anyone can prepare for. There is no cure for that pain. But you read enough comics to know the real heros. Just keep on fighting...you got a whole community to fight with you my mans.
The question is what will Peter's resolve be coming out of this trial and after all the requirements are met. its ruff but I am glad that happened to MJ, her desire to become a powered hero was petty by the writers and who's mouth id Thor jumping into weird wat for him to go out gets eaten, that's it. I like this trial that is just one world's tragic accounts not the universe full of species dying out.
I'm sorry. Lost both mines in the same year. Doctors basically killed my dad and my mom ...she didn't want to go on without him. On my watch. I'm sorry I was going down the rabbit hole. You are awesome keep it up! More hulk!
The actual smart/unpredictable thing to do with the writing is have Peter ACTUALLY give up, like... Have him stay defeated with everything that's gone on and keep that for a little while. Have this be a crazy long arc that builds all the way back up to Peter learning that everything he saw is wrong in some way shape orr form or gleam some kind of lesson from it and re-learn why he fights and why he *is* Spider-Man. But we all know sadly they aren't gonna do that. They're gonna have him completely walk in and save the whole universe and then pretend none of this ever even happened all over again like they do *every other modern Spidey Story*. It sucks, it all just sucks. Even when you think it's gonna just be a relatively fun story with no consequences of Peter taking some of Strange's Powers and him kinda jokingly fending off all these different challenges, then just BAM! make that dude depressed again. And now the whole story *immediately* feels cliche and boring. Now I'm just back to wanting to know what Venom and Hulk are up to again.
This comic reminds me a lot of how I had to make a difficult choose when my father was reaching the end of his life, and what I did to try and make him comfortable. Watching a parent pass is tough.. You can do a lot and still feel like It's not enough when it's done.. or do a little and be overwhelmed by guilt after.. I'm not sure if there is any right answer.. There were so many times over the course of those years when I wonder had mistaken what I was doing as trying to preload guilt to avoid suffer.. or what.. Even now, it haunts me. If you take anything away from this.. Go hug your loved ones as often as you can.
Really like your videos bro but if I could just make a constructive suggestion make them longer bro your videos are really good but they're just super short
Gotta say I think I have to drop the Amazing line. I’ve been following it on my own and, Dopespill, you’re a great creator that’s done a good job with bringing life to this line. But, IMO, this cycle Parker is in of torture 🌽 with barely any progression payoff has become stale and I hope Marvel realizes that.
Feels like his faith that hes used in so many comic (sporadically) would help here. Plus the above all pretty much showed all the people he would saved or save. He just needs a reminder or a recharge, and you do gotta get that drama going though. Where is a magic trash can for mage costume when you need one 😂
Callix breaking Cyra's weapon.. I wonder that does for freeing her from her obligations to face the champion every year... Also anyone notice how she is drawn to have the end of a metal tentacle, on the left side of her helm mission, how her left eye is sacred and ever left shoulder pauldron is torn? Is that How Dr. Strange beat her?
4:24 *Rest in Peace Mama Spill* _But For-real_ _Sincere Condolences_ I don’t know how I’ll be able to deal with it.. inevitable, *but those circumstances are horrible.. stuck in a hazmat suit, god bless_

Stan said he created spiderman ti eventually become the greatest hero of them all. However Peter has been done dirty by the writers for decades. Also, miles will never be spiderman just like falcon will never be Captain America
@christianrapper5 it's was stranges idea to put petter in this in the first place. He's just a middle aged guy with an average income trying to be nice. He can't handle some jerk alien girl calling us all meaningless with receipts to prove it! He's broken now
Spiderman and Superman would lose everything in the Multiverse but never lose their self so to have Peter just give up “Without a Uncle Been With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility” Memory is bad writing but he died holding that orb so I think it’s early and the story was good up until this issue…
Cyra and Peter would had been great together. Doctor Strange not giving Peter a heads up... not cool. Doom would had pass thru all those trials just fine.

I’m so sorry about your mom, dude. Great video as always.
Everyone’s gangster until the main character decides to dip
I wonder if the writers think, that having Spiderman quit for the hundredth time, is good writing...
This comic felt so unrealistic. Peter has dealt with death and the idea of it taking everyone he loves more than anyone in the marvel universe, and we’re supposed to believe he’s phased by this trial? To the point of quitting? When the world is on the line? Who came up with that lmao.

I don't blame Peter Parker. After how he's been treated by the comic writers for many years. And ever since that dreaded "One More Day."

Even if it did, it would be undone with the next writer. He’s achieved that balance before, but Marvel doesn’t like that.
@christianrapper5 I know. Let me have my fantasy for a while.
Struggle 😅what struggle it's bern do so many times SO many times
Peter Parker doesn't "achieve" things. His sole existence is to show you why Miles is better.
