    Great content! Your night vision comment reminded me of how well the peripheral vision system is at night. The FAA recommends during night ops to look slightly off center at objects instead of focusing directly on them. We develop a night blind spot in the immediate center of our night vision because that's where most of the eye's color sensors are. They don't pick up black, white or gray colors. Pilots have flown into mountains on clear nights because they stared straight ahead and their eye didn't detect the mountain in time. Looking off center uses the peripheral sensors in the rest of the eye which pick up black and white objects or motion at night... keep up the good work!

    Frogman tactical. Everyone knows RUclips warriors have a lot more training than Navy SEALS. They shoot targets in their backyards and play airsoft. Your years of elite training and real world combat experience don't compare. If they say you're wrong frogman then you're wrong. 😏😂

      Listen to this man right here. Professionals get into a routine and are unable to innovate. Real insight and out of the box innovation only comes from dedicated amateurs who are not professionally invested into a closed way of thinking, tactically speaking.

    Solid vid! A nice challenge for you that others likely don’t do, apart from the breakdown, perhaps you can also give advice on how the scene could be aesthetically shot without being tactically unsound

    Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make content like this. Whether that be breakdowns of quasi realistic military shows like the one reviewed in this video or your actual own self filmed content. All extremely jam packed with ways to look at things differently and to learn invaluable fundamentals you so easily seem to pick up on.
    God bless and Thank You for your service to our country and now continued service to those who seek it out in the public realm.

    That close range thing with fanning out, I can also see where the standoff between POA/POI being an issue there too

    T.Rex Arms guy always say that you should do your training as fast as you can (sure, compound your technique and improving speed as you get better). But a lot of guys say bad things about him just because he is has no military background.

    I recall one of the obstacles in the episode was they were under a time hack to take control of the bridge and reroute the ship while simultaneously securing the hostages in the hold. In the practice runs the torch was a constant source of problems. It would have been better if on the actual mission they tried the hatch before sparking the torch and it was unsecured.

    Regarding the Bin Laden raid--it is my understanding the entire event was captured on web-cam helmet video. Seems the government could show more of that raid than it has---removing any operational details deemed sensitive of course.

    Love the channel and love hearing your thoughts on just about everything. I am a huge fan of Seal Team for many reasons, as well as many of the other military dramas. I understand all the things you say about where the actions in certain scenes are off from reality. My question is, do you think this detracts from the reality of the show (or movie) or do you see it as somewhat necessary at times simply because it's a show and some of the real actions may not "play well" on camera? Thanks for keeping it real.

    Hi, it'd be great if you could do a breakdown of the TV series about a tier1 element called six. There's two series and I'm certain there's lots of action you could offer advice on.

    My buddy is last name is goggin at basic got caught in the constantina wire I forget exactly how I'd have to ask him again but for the rest of his stay his nickname was goggintina. It was some sort of night training when they were bivouacking

    I’ve only seen a couple of these breakdown videos of yours but it seems to me like you primarily focus on the things these shows get wrong. I think it might also be helpful to touch a little more on what TV and movies like this do right.

    Edit: I hope you dont mind if I use that clip of yours, it might help educate those nerds that "know-it-all". I'll credit you properly.

    I hope this doesn't sound like too dumb of a question I would imagine most of your followers are civilians so please forgive our ignorance but can you wear night vision goggles underwater? If you can what is it like will it improve your vision?

    • @1blueeye
      @1blueeye Год назад

      Basically, if they are in the water it's to get to or from a target. I'm sure they would insert, then landfall you put the nods on. Never seen them used underwater, maybe some sort of deep sea recovery specialists but not for combat operations.
