I can definitely see silk rounding up the spider men trio in the insomniacverse pretty much spider man, miles morales and silk just like the spider verse that comprised the trio of miles, peter and gwen so something like this is bound to happen sooner than later and I am just glad that silk is chosen instead of gwen because I think insomniac has plans for Gwen to be in the same exact age as Peter and MJ are in the games nowadays in mind for her inclusion later on I guess?

I hope they retain Cindy's social anxiety disorder as that was a HUGE part in what helped to make Cindy such a popular character in the comics. Sure she had those issues thanks to being in a bunker for 10 years but you don't need to be locked in a bunker to suffer from SAD, trust me. It does seem to be hinted at given that Cindy is looking down instead of at anyone until attention is drawn to her and her awkward wave and how she seemed nervous everyone was looking at her. As I said this was a huge part of what helped her become a fan favorite as she went from "Carly Coopre 2.0" to "Precious child whom I will die for". On a side note I am SO happy that Insomniac seems to be dropping the whole "Romance" thing from her origin story. For those who don't know originally whenever Cin and Pete where close to one another they would get really REALLY horny and just try to start F^c/1ng each other. This was so stupid that Cindy's original creator publicly apologized for this and is personally ashamed of including it to begin with. It seems that Cindy is around Miles' age if not a bit younger, and she and Miles will become step-siblings in this continuity. HOPEFULLY, this means there will be no romance between her and Peter (because he's 27 and she's at least 15 AND he's in a committed relationship with MJ) and also that a romance between her and Miles is always out of the question because they'll be brother and sister not to mention MILES AND HAILEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER AND I WILL BURN THIS UNIVERSE TO THE GROUND IF THEY BREAKUP!!! As for whom she may romance if romance must indeed be included I personally hope that she ends with her long time nemesis Saya Ishii. Honestly, the most romantic relationships Cindy has is with other women. Felicia, Luna Snow and Saya, and between the three of them I find Saya to be the one with the most dramatic potential as I am a fan of the Enemies to Lovers Trope. And for those of you about to reply how that will never happen because Cindy is VERY heterosexual in the comics let me remind you that Batwoman aka Kate Kane was SUPER heterosexual before she was retconned to be a lesbian and the fandom fell in love with her for that very reason. Ironically the original reason Kate was created was to prove that Bruce wasn't gay and in a relationship with Robin... yes really. But yeah, I would love for Cindy to have a romantic relationship with Saya that is mostly explored in her solo adventure as one, again fan of the trope, and two it's not something we've seen, at least in the games. For the most part it's been friends to enemies in the games so it would be interesting if we had a sorta Catradora thing going on here where Cindy and Saya already know each other and are friends but are pretty obviously in love but are just to dense to figure it out.

Personally, I would like Kelly Marie Tran to play Cindy. She's already shown to be a very skilled voice actor and she sounds how I picture Cindy would sound.
Im definitely more familiar with Spider Gwen and like her character, but i always wanted silk to be added over her. Silk hasnt really had any mainstream appearences where as Gwen has had a handful (also i just like silk's design alot more)
If they make her a playable character in a potential 3rd game, her web swinging mechanics will probably be a little different since she has organic webs that come out of her fingertips.
Not just her web swinging. In combat, she probably won't need to reload on webs because of her organic webbing. And in combat, she can use her Silk Sense, which is a stronger version of Peter's Spider Sense. I imagine time will probably slow down in game when she's using Silk Sense to show how fast her reflexes are. Just like Miles has his bio-electricity and camouflage to help him stand out from Peter, Cindy will have her Silk Sense and organic webbing. I'm so excited!!!!

I just realize it now, this is a great way to link Cindy to both Peter and Miles. Cindy is Peter's classmate and Miles' stepsister at the same time. That way both Peter and Miles can interact with her.

@@landing5884 I don't think they'll be sticking to closely to the lore here because they've deviated from the lore of the comics rather greatly just with the fact that, well, Cindy's not currently locked in a bunker right now. Remember right after she got her powers she was locked in that bunker for 10 years until Peter went to save her. Just look at Miles and how much they changed his Origin story. Miles usually becomes Spider-Man after Peter dies, was the same age as Peter when he was introduced and only meets Peter via alternate Universes of the OG Spider-Man and the two have no Mentor-Student relationship of any kind. Here, Miles is younger then Peter, Peter is alive, he and Pete share the title of Spider-Man and the two have a proper Mentor-Student relationship with the two becoming surrogate brothers/father-son relationship. And that's not even getting into the other changes to the Spider-Man Lore these games have made (Norman is a LOT nicer then he is in most other versions, Harry is Venom, Doctor Octopus' origin was given a massive overhaul, and honestly to many things to mention). So it stands to reason that Cindy's Origin will be different too. My guess is Cindy is around Miles age if not a bit younger, say about 15 years old right now. She'll get her powers during the events of the upcoming DLCs either by being beaten by one of Norman's Spiders or is injured and is given a blood transfusion from Peter who is the same blood type as her. It will also be revealed that her mother is dead as a result of the Devil's Breath Incident from the first game and is an only child (either she's always been an only child or her brother also died during the events of the first game or during the events of Miles Morals). She's still have her issues like having social disability as that is a big part of her character but that will be more of a result of just something's she's always had or is a result of the trauma of losing her mother instead of being locked in a bunker for 10 years. Meet me back here after the DLCs are released and Marvel (see what I did there) at my powers of foresight.

In Insomniac case, they just made their age gap bigger by 8 instead of 3. As for the rest, we can only wait and see. Just feels that Cindy being Peter's classmates creates an easier way to show another bit of Peter's past.

Let's be real Cindy had a TERRIBLE first impression in the fandom. Many fans hated the retcon that the spider bit more then one person, hated her relationship with Peter and hated her personality. It was only when she got her own solo series which broke away from all these elements that she became a fan favorite which is why I think their going to change her origin story. I get what you're saying but based on what we know of the character from the comics, what we're seeing of the character here and Insomniac making massive changes to the Spider-Man Lore I think they're going to change her origin story to be completely different from her comic book counterpart. But as you said, only time will tell and hopefully with the DLC likely coming out this year time will tell sooner rather then later.
Exactly all I want from Silk would be a Spider-Gwen suit/spiderverse Gwen suit so that all 3 could look like the spiderverse movies optionally without having to include any multiverse shenanigans or shoehorning Gwen into the insomniac story 🙏
They all know eachother in the comics…. Also this is insomniac’s original adaptation of the Spider-Man story. Eddie Brock is Venom in the Comics. Not Harry Osborn. Harry is the second green goblin. So this game is based on the comics, not a carbon copy of the canon marvel universe.
Now this has me wondering. Will we see more of her in possible dlc? Where she'll then get bitten. And then maybe get her own miles Morales type game? Or we get a miles Morales sequel where we explore her character more and possibly train her for spider man 3. Thatll probably come out around like 2030

I don't think it'll happen. Cuz the wolverine is handled by another team inside insomniac, I think the spiderman team will keep Peter alive for a wolverine spiderman crossover
SM3 will be an open world game just like the other games in the series which means Pete will be just fine. Keep in mind that they're going to make side quests that will require you to play as certain characters because not every mission works for every character. Take SM2, Peter has the EMF Missions and The Flame Missions while Miles has the Culture History Missions and Brooklyn Visions Missions. There are a few missions that can be played as either Peter or Miles but there are simply more missions that require to to play as one or the other. Now they could have all the missions done by all three heroes but that's unlikely as most players tend to put off most side quests until the main story. Also keep in mind that all three games use skill trees and most players will not max out said skills until after they've finished the game and making it so it's impossible to play all missions meaning they would be unable to reach 100% on a first play-through is just asking to piss people off. Especially if the game doesn't open with a New Game + which was the case for the first game and SM2. They may kill Peter but it will more then likely be a fake-out death to mess with fans but Pete will turn out to be okay and help finish the fight. To go into more detail here's my guess for future installments of future Spider-Man games. Between now and SM3 we'll get a Silk Spin-Off game or Expansion Pack to help establish Cindy as a solo superhero and her own supporting cast that will play a part in SM3 much like what we got with Miles in his Spin-Off game. The first half of the game will deal with Otto with him either escaping from the Raft and becoming Doctor Octopus again or him manipulate events from within the Raft as he tries to get revenge against Norman. This will likely result in Harry dying or put him in greater danger which will result in Norman becoming the Green Goblin and going out to get revenge against both Otto and the Spider-Pals. This then leads into the conflict with Goblin who either endangers or actually kills someone close to our heroes with Aaron being the only real casualty with MJ, Rio, Hailey and the others are all okay but seriously injured. In the end Norman will likely die most likely by his own hand like what we saw in the Raimi movie. At the end Pete does decide to step down as Spider-Man full time so he can focus on the job he now has but will still work as Spider-Man just not be as active because Miles and Cindy are here to help pickup the slack. Peter will never stop being Spider-Man but now with the help of his Amazing Friends he's able to find a balance between Peter Parker and Spider-Man and has every intention of helping the others find that balance too. They then all swing off into the sunset as the main trilogy comes to a close.
This is very cool now we have three Spider heroes and can uses the three of them. And Silk as the spider girl instead of Gwen i'm going all for it and hyped to see what kind of character she is since i've never heard of Silk and i'm hyped to see her story.
I know a few actresses who should play Cindy 1st Madison hu from bizardvark 2nd person Lana condor from to all the boys, Tiffany espensen from Spider-Man homecoming so far those are the actress I know but I would love Lana condor to play silk because I read an article she’s very interested in playing silk. We have to wait until either a Spider-Man 2 dlc hopefully they will have one or Spider-Man 3 we have to wait.

Miles barely had his own story, it was "i like this girl, and i gotta do my college essay" and he did friendly neighborhood stuff until last act where he had to save Pete from the symbiote

I believe they should do another game in between this one and Spiderman 3 (like they did with Miles Morales) with Miles and Silk as playable characters. Would make sense to give Peter a break. And have him return in the third game and have all three playable! Would fit well story wise and title wise haha.
Okay, I know it's a lot to ask, but I really hope that the next game will be something like this: Silk, Peter, Miles playable... Green goblin, Doctor Octopus, Carnage and finally Knull as the final main villain. I don't know, but the end of the game just ended with a stranger things vibe, Venom was just a demogorgon. But Knull is Like Vecna... I also hope that we can play as the social identities of the spiders whenever we want in the open world
I was up until 3 am finishing this game on release day. My girlfriend was asleep next to me, so I was trying not to wake her up. So when Cindy showed up, I tried so hard to not SCREAM with excitement! Cindy is my favorite Spider Woman, so having her in my favorite game series is a dream come true!
I dunno about you guys.. but id love if there would be a 4 player mp in the future with Miles, Gwen, Peter and Cindy. Or at least 4 different main chars with different abilities

There is too many spider heroes, they’re going to lose themselves if they always keep introducing new spider people… Two Spider-Man in the same universe is already too much, we just had the duo, why don’t they keep developing this duo instead of introducing another spider person… Felt rushed like the reste of act III, too many elements, not enough development
It's just adding one more not ten. I'm sure Insomniac has a rough idea of how they want to proceed when they plan/make this game. Besides, they can't just keep rotating between Peter & Miles. And it's a good way to show that the game universe isn't just a carbon copy of the comics or movies.
I would have much preferred them to tease Mayday Parker then Silk. The Spider-Girl comics are under-rated and she became a full realized character towards the end of the run.
Considering how Miles isn't being Spider-Man for this dinner, I'm sure Peter is backing up him. People seem to think that Peter is semi-retired or pass the torch thing but the way I see, it's just rather than taking up everything himself, Peter has learnt to trust Miles more and letting go of some of his responsibilities when he was the sole Spider-Man. Like what May told Peter in the flashback, it's about balance. Peter was trying to be both a good Spider-Man and a good Peter Parker at the same time.

And for those of you about to reply how that will never happen because Cindy is VERY heterosexual in the comics let me remind you that Batwoman aka Kate Kane was SUPER heterosexual before she was retconned to be a lesbian and the fandom fell in love with her for that very reason. Ironically the original reason Kate was created was to prove that Bruce wasn't gay and in a relationship with Robin... yes really.
But yeah, I would love for Cindy to have a romantic relationship with Saya that is mostly explored in her solo adventure as one, again fan of the trope, and two it's not something we've seen, at least in the games. For the most part it's been friends to enemies in the games so it would be interesting if we had a sorta Catradora thing going on here where Cindy and Saya already know each other and are friends but are pretty obviously in love but are just to dense to figure it out.

Personally, I would like Kelly Marie Tran to play Cindy. She's already shown to be a very skilled voice actor and she sounds how I picture Cindy would sound.
Im definitely more familiar with Spider Gwen and like her character, but i always wanted silk to be added over her. Silk hasnt really had any mainstream appearences where as Gwen has had a handful (also i just like silk's design alot more)
If they make her a playable character in a potential 3rd game, her web swinging mechanics will probably be a little different since she has organic webs that come out of her fingertips.

Not just her web swinging. In combat, she probably won't need to reload on webs because of her organic webbing. And in combat, she can use her Silk Sense, which is a stronger version of Peter's Spider Sense. I imagine time will probably slow down in game when she's using Silk Sense to show how fast her reflexes are.
Just like Miles has his bio-electricity and camouflage to help him stand out from Peter, Cindy will have her Silk Sense and organic webbing. I'm so excited!!!!

I just realize it now, this is a great way to link Cindy to both Peter and Miles. Cindy is Peter's classmate and Miles' stepsister at the same time. That way both Peter and Miles can interact with her.
Considering that Cindy is likely Miles age if not younger I find that highly unlikely.
@@Winter-The-Masquerade Insomniac hasn't confirm anything about her age yet. As far as I can remember, the games haven't shown how Peter got his powers, if we go with the lore, Peter and Cindy getting their powers at the same time could still be a thing.
@@landing5884 I don't think they'll be sticking to closely to the lore here because they've deviated from the lore of the comics rather greatly just with the fact that, well, Cindy's not currently locked in a bunker right now. Remember right after she got her powers she was locked in that bunker for 10 years until Peter went to save her.
Just look at Miles and how much they changed his Origin story. Miles usually becomes Spider-Man after Peter dies, was the same age as Peter when he was introduced and only meets Peter via alternate Universes of the OG Spider-Man and the two have no Mentor-Student relationship of any kind.
Here, Miles is younger then Peter, Peter is alive, he and Pete share the title of Spider-Man and the two have a proper Mentor-Student relationship with the two becoming surrogate brothers/father-son relationship.
And that's not even getting into the other changes to the Spider-Man Lore these games have made (Norman is a LOT nicer then he is in most other versions, Harry is Venom, Doctor Octopus' origin was given a massive overhaul, and honestly to many things to mention).
So it stands to reason that Cindy's Origin will be different too.
My guess is Cindy is around Miles age if not a bit younger, say about 15 years old right now. She'll get her powers during the events of the upcoming DLCs either by being beaten by one of Norman's Spiders or is injured and is given a blood transfusion from Peter who is the same blood type as her. It will also be revealed that her mother is dead as a result of the Devil's Breath Incident from the first game and is an only child (either she's always been an only child or her brother also died during the events of the first game or during the events of Miles Morals).
She's still have her issues like having social disability as that is a big part of her character but that will be more of a result of just something's she's always had or is a result of the trauma of losing her mother instead of being locked in a bunker for 10 years.

As for the rest, we can only wait and see. Just feels that Cindy being Peter's classmates creates an easier way to show another bit of Peter's past.

Let's be real Cindy had a TERRIBLE first impression in the fandom. Many fans hated the retcon that the spider bit more then one person, hated her relationship with Peter and hated her personality.
It was only when she got her own solo series which broke away from all these elements that she became a fan favorite which is why I think their going to change her origin story. Again she's clearly not in a bunker right now which is a HUGE part of her origin story and if she was bitten by the same spider then where was she during the events of the other 3 games?

I get what you're saying but based on what we know of the character from the comics, what we're seeing of the character here and Insomniac making massive changes to the Spider-Man Lore I think they're going to change her origin story to be completely different from her comic book counterpart.
But as you said, only time will tell and hopefully with the DLC likely coming out this year time will tell sooner rather then later.

They all know eachother in the comics…. Also this is insomniac’s original adaptation of the Spider-Man story. Eddie Brock is Venom in the Comics. Not Harry Osborn. Harry is the second green goblin. So this game is based on the comics, not a carbon copy of the canon marvel universe.

I don't think it'll happen. Cuz the wolverine is handled by another team inside insomniac, I think the spiderman team will keep Peter alive for a wolverine spiderman crossover
SM3 will be an open world game just like the other games in the series which means Pete will be just fine. Keep in mind that they're going to make side quests that will require you to play as certain characters because not every mission works for every character. Take SM2, Peter has the EMF Missions and The Flame Missions while Miles has the Culture History Missions and Brooklyn Visions Missions.
There are a few missions that can be played as either Peter or Miles but there are simply more missions that require to to play as one or the other. Now they could have all the missions done by all three heroes but that's unlikely as most players tend to put off most side quests until the main story.
Also keep in mind that all three games use skill trees and most players will not max out said skills until after they've finished the game and making it so it's impossible to play all missions meaning they would be unable to reach 100% on a first play-through is just asking to piss people off. Especially if the game doesn't open with a New Game + which was the case for the first game and SM2.
They may kill Peter but it will more then likely be a fake-out death to mess with fans but Pete will turn out to be okay and help finish the fight.
To go into more detail here's my guess for future installments of future Spider-Man games.
Between now and SM3 we'll get a Silk Spin-Off game or Expansion Pack to help establish Cindy as a solo superhero and her own supporting cast that will play a part in SM3 much like what we got with Miles in his Spin-Off game. The first half of the game will deal with Otto with him either escaping from the Raft and becoming Doctor Octopus again or him manipulate events from within the Raft as he tries to get revenge against Norman. This will likely result in Harry dying or put him in greater danger which will result in Norman becoming the Green Goblin and going out to get revenge against both Otto and the Spider-Pals.
This then leads into the conflict with Goblin who either endangers or actually kills someone close to our heroes with Aaron being the only real casualty with MJ, Rio, Hailey and the others are all okay but seriously injured.
In the end Norman will likely die most likely by his own hand like what we saw in the Raimi movie. At the end Pete does decide to step down as Spider-Man full time so he can focus on the job he now has but will still work as Spider-Man just not be as active because Miles and Cindy are here to help pickup the slack.
Peter will never stop being Spider-Man but now with the help of his Amazing Friends he's able to find a balance between Peter Parker and Spider-Man and has every intention of helping the others find that balance too. They then all swing off into the sunset as the main trilogy comes to a close.
This is very cool now we have three Spider heroes and can uses the three of them. And Silk as the spider girl instead of Gwen i'm going all for it and hyped to see what kind of character she is since i've never heard of Silk and i'm hyped to see her story.

We have to wait until either a Spider-Man 2 dlc hopefully they will have one or Spider-Man 3 we have to wait.

And have him return in the third game and have all three playable! Would fit well story wise and title wise haha.
I can see something like Peter and Miles temporary leaving New York and enter the Spider verse, so Silk had to defend the city alone.
Okay, I know it's a lot to ask, but I really hope that the next game will be something like this: Silk, Peter, Miles playable... Green goblin, Doctor Octopus, Carnage and finally Knull as the final main villain. I don't know, but the end of the game just ended with a stranger things vibe, Venom was just a demogorgon. But Knull is Like Vecna... I also hope that we can play as the social identities of the spiders whenever we want in the open world

I was up until 3 am finishing this game on release day. My girlfriend was asleep next to me, so I was trying not to wake her up.
So when Cindy showed up, I tried so hard to not SCREAM with excitement! Cindy is my favorite Spider Woman, so having her in my favorite game series is a dream come true!

Considering how Miles isn't being Spider-Man for this dinner, I'm sure Peter is backing up him. People seem to think that Peter is semi-retired or pass the torch thing but the way I see, it's just rather than taking up everything himself, Peter has learnt to trust Miles more and letting go of some of his responsibilities when he was the sole Spider-Man.
Like what May told Peter in the flashback, it's about balance. Peter was trying to be both a good Spider-Man and a good Peter Parker at the same time.
