So happy you all enjoyed the box! Loved the fact that you owned up to eating some of the chocolate we sent before you made the video. :-) Totally loved your reaction to some of the items!
Mexican girl here, you should try your jam sauce just adding blended chipotles (from the can), it is AMAZING! another thing, Tacos al pastor are eaten with onion pineapple and coriander, all fresh (just eat them however you like, that is the traditional taco), another way to eat the meat of tacos al pastor is in a gringa (which funny enough, means american girl in spanish) it's just flour tortilla, cheese, meat, cheese, tortilla and jus heat it up and cut in half. You should try it.
Cut slits in hot dogs cook on 350 6 minutes in air fryer then brush garlic butter on buns and put back in the fryer with hot dogs in them for 2 minutes.
Oh my goodness Christine! I made these pork chops with apple preserves (because we had that in the pantry) and added a hit of liquid smoke. SO GOOD!! Thank you for the inspiration! My husband has already requested this for his birthday..... 4 months from now.
Parenting Win: My kids prefer the Gene Wilder version over the Johnny Depp version of Willy Wonka! I enjoy both, and although the Depp version is more like the book, the Wilder version will always be superior. 😁
Moser Roth (the raspberry chocolate bar) is an Aldi brand you can find in USA, you might like some of the other flavors! My local one doesn't have that flavor though.
We always get the Moser Roth chocolate @ Aldi....but havent seen the raspberry one either. Dark Choc with orange & almond is my fav....oh heck...haven't met a bad flavor, if I am being honest ;)
The "Erfrischungsstäbchen" are need to get in the Fridge and should be eaten ice cold on a hot day then they taste 1000000000000 times better and are so refreshing
Your videos have provided such a light in my life while I've been recovering from breast surgery. Can't thank you enough for entertaining me and making me feel less alone. Truly appreciate you and think God brought your channel into my life to get me through this tough time. Can't thank you enough Christine!
The soft cakes are like our Jaffa cakes in the UK. Traditionally with an orange jelly filling but other flavours have been produced now. Very popular too
Generally for al pastor meat when it says grill can do on a flat top grill or even on grill mat. Me personally I just throw it in a skillet and cook and let some get crispy
I get so excited when I see you post a new video! Your energy and personality just makes your videos pop for me! Thank you, love when you have to blend something and scream too funny!
Girl I love how your family will eat virtually anything/everything. We have some stomach issues so not all foods are okay for everyone in our fam. But I love your creativity!!
I love how diverse her videos are! I basically only cook for myself and I have dietary restrictions but she has so many different ideas for different diets and lifestyles that there's something for everyone. Not to mention that you can learn culinary basics and get new ideas from watching how she approaches food!
Yes! We don’t have any dietary issues but getting my son and his dad to eat any vegetables I don’t really even bother, which is s shame because I really like veggies.
Thank you, you give me the best ideas. Last night I tossed all my veggies that were left over in my refrigerator with shrimp, garlic, butter, olive oil and old bag. My family loved it, said it was better than Red Lobster : )
Are you kidding??? I searched allll the way back to January 2020 just to make sure I got that pork chop recipe right. ( We tried it last night) It is DELICIOUS!!! And here it is again today!! LOL We have enjoyed every recipe we have tried! Thanks for the inspiration.. I have many more meals in my rotation thanks to you!!
Those pork chops looked like MONEY, I am going to try that one for sure. 👀 It’s so sweet whenever you and Dave are on screen together! (Your anniversary video was SO cute.) It’s also a great time watching you pronounce German words. More of this please, I love a good morning giggle. 😆 Hugs from Nebraska~
GERMAN LESSON: Erdnuss is peanut. :) "Flip" is just them trying to come up with a word that sounds English (cuz that's cool) that isn't "chip" but something similar. My fam is German and we've been back and forth visiting relatives for years.
I mix up my burger with all of the onion, bread crumbs, egg, etc like a meatloaf. Then I stuff uncooked meat into uncooked pepper shells. Pour tomato sauce with whatever seasonings you love and then put them in a dutch oven with approx 1/2 inch of water or broth in the bottom of the pot. Put a lid on it, bake in the oven until approx 1/2 cooked, drain off the excess grease. Bake the rest of the way until it's all done. This is so easy and DELICIOUS over rice!!! I have also used this recipe in my crock pot(slow cooker). I love how happy Dave was for the tacos!! Lol
These recipes look so dang good!! Please please always say pork the way you said it while cooking the “poke” chops!!! I have rewound that about 50 times and laughed my butt off. I love you Christine!!!!! U always make my day!!!!
Aldi carries that brand of chocolate bar, the raspberry chocolate one. I like to get the plain milk chocolate bars for s'mores because of how they're wrapped on the inside. No open bar to tempt!
This raspberry soft cake you can also buy i polish shops, it's called Delicje and we have a lots of flavours to choose from! In the UK it's called Jaffa cake ;) And the thing inside...It's jelly. P.s. I also don't like raspberry flavour. My favourite flavour is orange ;)
Putting olive oil salt pepper and garlic powder on salmon or chicken thighs and some vegetables and potatoes and baking it for like 25 minutes is my go-to I don't have time for this tonight dinner 🤣
Great video! Instead of boiling your vegetables, steam them in your instant pot in a basket for about a minute. You're going to love their bright colors and their wonderfully fresh flavor. ✨
They have those peanut Cheetos at Trader Joe’s and the moser Roth is from aldi, and they sell jags cakes in raspberry and orange at aldi too, the little ones you didn’t like 🤷🏻♀️. But all that other fun candy looked so good!
Finally someone from the US who pronounces Worcestershire sauce correctly I was born in Worcester when the sauce was still made in Worcester, it was later moved to another town in Worcestershire. I move to Australia when I was seven and have heard several different pronunciations of the word Thank you
We are stationed in southern Germany as well and I am cracking up over the taste testing going on. When we first got here me and my husband had a date night where we picked out stuff to try from the local Edeka (grocery store). There are some Gems here that I will for sure be stuffing my suitcase full of before pcsing back to the states. Germans know how to do chocolate. Idk if it's at all Aldis but when we were stationed in upstate NY the Aldi by us had Moser roth chocolate ..worth keeping an eye out next time anyone goes to Aldis🤪
Erdnuss = peanut, that raspberry-almond-chocolate is actually a rather cheap brand (no bad intentions in saying that, I buy that brand myself! ^_~), but pretty much any european chocolate is delicious. If you got an Aldi anywhere near you: they also sell Moser roth products in the US as far as I know. Maoam has three syllables: read it like "muh - oh - um". The sticks say on the packaging: enjoy ice-cold (they need to be eaten fresh from the fridge on a hot day) they are literally called "resfreshment sticks".
German candy is the best! They have the best gummies ever! The moon gummies are the best out of all of them. When my family and I were there from 76 to 79 ( my dad was in the Army) I used to go down to the German corner store and buy as much candy as I could lol I was such a fat child lol I loved all of the food and snacks and candy 😁😁😁😁
I lived in Germany (Army Brat) 84-91. My brother and I loved going to the bakery and Kris Kringle Market. We loved the authentic bratwurst and pomp fritz and the big heart shaped cookies decorated with that amazing frosting. We also loved Ritter Sports and Gummies.
Erdnuss flips are chips with peanut taste!! they are soo good! I live in Germany also. I love your videos!! and I am thinking on buying a crock pot….. but still not sure, it is not so usual here, for now
Yummmmmm, I need to find that taco meat! If I need a quick pickled onion I'll put them in a colander and pour a couple cups of boiling water over them slowly, rinse with cold then toss the vinegar and sugar on.(it helps of it's an especially strong onion, and speeds up the pickly goodness!)
When my sister lived in Germany, she would send me a big box of chocolate and warn the kids it was coming so they could get to it before I did b/c once I did, it was gone. I don't know what it is about German chocolate, but there's nothing like it.
Greetings from Germany, it is so nice to see someone appreciate our sweets. I hope you enjoy the rest of it. By the way for Maoam, you pronounce every letter.
Hey Christine! PERFECT pronunciation of the W sauce! Go you! I knew you had it in you....now if we could get you to say Garrrrla instead of Gayyyyyla for Gala apples we'd be even more impressed!! Love ya work!!
So glad that I stayed to the end (like I always do) to watch the German goodies taste testing. It was the best!!! Now I want you to trial every treat there is to live vicariously through you....ooouuu, Halloween is around the corner too. Candy Time 🥳 Special thanks to Stacy for her gift to all of us and her service!!!
I was just telling my hubby last night that Olive Garden used to make an apricot chicken with asparagus that I loved! Haven't been there in a long time, so I don't know if they still have it. But your peach jam sauce for the chops looked yummy! 😋 I'll have to try that! The German chocolates look so good! Razzle (candy store) carries several German sweets.
Using pablanos for stuffed peppers is the best idea I have heard all day. We love, and eat so many bell peppers, so I normally pass on stuffed peppers. ..but I am all in on the pablanos.
Pas store and roll the r. If that makes sense. Thank you for all the frugal tips. I just wish I could find a discount store in my area. Albany, NY. There is Save-A-Lot And Aldi. But you must get there early for the good finds.
Love your videos! Regarding the salad mixes you purchase when they're marked down, can you please share how you prolong their shelf life? Please do the same for eggs. Thanks & God bless!
Mom and Dad are found swinging from the ceiling fans in a sugar rush when kids get home from school. Kids ask what they've been doing. Parents answer: Oh, nothing (after they've eaten all of the candy-like kids at Halloween. HAHAHA!! So glad you enjoyed your package. It was a "sweet gift"-literally. :)
Your stuffed paprika recipe is quite interessting, we have something similiar here in germany, although the way we prepare it is abit different. We just brown the ground beef , put it in the pitted red (!) bell pepper, put the "lid" part of the bell pepper back on, fix it with a little stick and then stuff it into the oven for about 30 minutes. Tastes delicious tbh and I feel like I should prepare it again. :)
Dude! Over 300,000 subscribers! I feel honored that I’ve been watching you soooo long! Way to go! Oh and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory scared the living daylights out of me as a kid! Hated it! Gave you a thumbs up anyway because I love when you remind me!!! 🍫 👍🏼
Hey guys...now I miss all the German snacks and chocolate. U need to put those filled sticks in the frige, even better! Let me know if u liked it...and those flips, yes it's peanut flavor...
I love your videos!! I’m currently on a low fodmap diet for about 8 weeks. The hardest part of this diet is no onion or garlic, which are my favorite things to add while I’m cooking. I can’t wait to try some more of your recipes once I’m done with this diet. The peach pork chops are what I’m most excited to try! Thanks for another great video!
Hello fellow fodmapper! In case you didn't know, most of the foods that aren't low fodmap can still be eaten while following the fodmap diet. You just have to pay more attention to how much of those foods you're eating and determine what the safe range is! Obviously follow your docs advice if they've got you on a strict elimination diet, but fodmap by myself doesn't require 100% restriction if you're not actively flaring.
Poblano's hurt my stomach Antietam maybe I could do red or orange bell peppers I can eat green peppers either cuz of the same stomach problem when I eat them looks good though
Hey everyone! I have had many comments asking about the pig bacon container and it's under $10 on amazon! amzn.to/3kIkf4z
Thank you!!!! I was just going to ask as well😆
I needz a piggie fat container! It's in the cart now lol.
I think I saw you use it before and I went and ordered it months ago. Lol. He lives in our fridge...
I hate mint and chocolate so much 🤣 that raspberry chocolate bar I think I've seen at Aldi
Thanks I was gonna ask it's so cute!
So happy you all enjoyed the box! Loved the fact that you owned up to eating some of the chocolate we sent before you made the video. :-) Totally loved your reaction to some of the items!
What were the names of the various goodies you sent? Some stuff that they try from overseas, it is possible to get on Amazon.
Makes me want to go to Germany even more now...
BTW, orange soft cakes are better. Also raspberry with white chocolate 🙃

Yes! We don’t have any dietary issues but getting my son and his dad to eat any vegetables I don’t really even bother, which is s shame because I really like veggies.
Hi. In the UK we say ‘MOW-WAMS’ and they are great. One of the few things I could eat in with my third Baby, I am sure he is 80% Maoam 🤪
LOL!
There is something very appropriate about sitting down with a flavored water to watch the newest FFM video..
Thank you, you give me the best ideas. Last night I tossed all my veggies that were left over in my refrigerator with shrimp, garlic, butter, olive oil and old bag. My family loved it, said it was better than Red Lobster : )
I’m sorry, I just love some typos, including my own! 😅Took me a few seconds to figure out “old bag.” 😅

Ok I bought those low carb tortillas based on your recommendation and oh my GOODNESS! Game changer for sure. The entire family loves them!
So did I! My husband needs lower carb and isn't usually a fan of whole wheat low carb. But he likes this tortillas.

OMGsh, loved watching you two try the German sweets! Dave and those passionfruit chocolate bars . . . still chuckling!!!
Dave looked thoroughly SATISFACTION after the mango passion fruit chocolate, actually both of you. You all are so fun to watch, anytime ♡♡♡

Erdnuss means Peanut so yeah there is Peanut in there
The Maoam are totally like Mamba, we have both here.

Me: "😐"
Christine: "More?"
Me: "No no. That's enough!"
Christine: "Is that enough for you? You animal?!"
Me: " *sigh* 😑"
Lol
Try adding chorizo to your stuffed pablano peppers. It’s so amazing
Salt & Lime juice and let the onions soak are great!
I'm looking for the cabbage stir fry recipe you did on an extreme budget challenge video and can't find it. 😭 Halp! It was so good!
Sounds good. I would like that too

I think those peppers might be up there with that Uncle Tony's corn and chicken and peppers sheet pan dinner--i.e. a new family favorite!
Dave looked so cute when you gave him the plate of tacos. 💜 Thanks for sharing more yummy ideas!
The almond raspberry chocolate can be found in the States Sr Aldi. Same brand.
I love it when you say Worcestershire sauce

Maybe someone already said but Moser Roth chocolates are at my Aldi. I love the real bitter chocolate. I think it’s 85%. Yum!
Love the idea for making a sauce with peach jam for the pork chops, def going to try that, thanks!
I got some thin pork chops and homemade peach and blue berry jam. Mmmhmm which jam to use 🙃💁♀️
Old Wonka is the only Wonka in our home!!!
Happy dance in the kitchen because.... Hanging out with Christine! 😆 And currently eating stuffed peppers for lunch, influenced by... Christine!
If you are near an Aldi, the chocolate with the nuts can be found there.

By the way for Maoam, you pronounce every letter.
Yep. Was just talking about Willy Wonka, because I saw brachs has a weird turkey dinner apple pie candy and it weird me out.
Hey Christine! PERFECT pronunciation of the W sauce! Go you! I knew you had it in you....now if we could get you to say Garrrrla instead of Gayyyyyla for Gala apples we'd be even more impressed!! Love ya work!!
Erdnus is German for peanut. Himber is raspberry
