@@jino.o6500 coach cap might have something different to say but shooting tank is more consistent value and also gives the enemy supports less ult charge per damage done
I think the key here is to understand that this is totally situational. If the enemy team presents some squishy targets and you can eliminate them- then do so, obviously. But if there aren't other targets, or you know they are just going to duck back into cover and heal... Well, you lose a lot of value. Suppression had it's merit, but you're better off targeting the tank and keeping them back unless the enemy support/dps is imminently threatening. What would you be doing as a hitscan playing going against ball or doom. Would I you still be shooting tank 70% of the time do to positing safe and not in dive range or how would I play that
on the topic of keyboard/movement aim, is it not also a bad idea to use this kind of movement in a lot of cases since it makes it easier for the enemy to hit you? genuine question
While true in 1v1s It’s more complex than that. Depends on the position. Doing that works for him in that case due to the target and his position, basically being safe while doing damage
it's important to know when to dodge and when to movement aim/minimise movement. As a general rule of thumb, the more enemies that are looking at you the more complicated you should make your movement, if you're in a widow sightline then you should also dodge better. It's really nuanced to be honest and a lot of it comes with just playing the game, but the best players in the world are insanely good at this specific thing and it's really important in overwatch. surefours guide to movement is a good starting point
Hitscan may have a lot of pressure on it, but it's so forgiving, it has the least jobs a lot of the time. Tank has just as much if not more pressure, the support abilities, the tank trade focus, the tank buster heroes and the hard focus in a poke phase. Support has utility, damage, healing, often more jobs than just the kill squishy poke out tank job that often happens with dps. Plus, a specific hitscan dps has the most playmaking potential in the game (widow) Of course no role is easy outside of certain characters, mercy, torb, hog for example
You have bad aim if you use Mirroring and it will be easier for people with actual good aim to gun you down since you are easier to read. Sorry but you cant use this method and claim hitscan is the easiest role. This will work till you go against actual good hitscan
put more nuance into the theory. Cap isn't saying you need to mirror every second of the game, but when you KNOW you can mirror without any actual threat being posed, why wouldn't you? It's literally just objective advantage in neutrals if all you need to do is hit your shots. You can always change to more dodgy type movement if you're in a 1v1 anyways. We literally watch the best hitscan in the world using this method when it makes sense and you're still saying it won't work against better players LOL
@MinnVictus those hitscans just don't have the aim to rely on it then? What do you want me to say, mirroring is a crutch and if you rely on it too much you will never develop mouse control. Its just how it is, if you don't use it, you lose it, or gain it for that matter. This guy just made this video to justify hitscan being easy, when in reality mirroring is the lowest form of "aim" even a monkey can do it
@@marcovazquez-ou2pv A better way to put it would be: If you can ONLY use mirroring to aim you aim isn't that good. Mirroring is a tool to be used, but it is situational. To not ever use it is literally making the game harder to play for the ideals of only using your mouse to aim. To reiterate, mirroring is NOT for fair 1v1 duels hitscan v hitscan, and it was never claimed to be. Like who the fuck are you playing against that prevents you from ever mirroring tank movement for better neutral trades? Surely you're getting into GM/Champ lobbies before making these claims? Surely LIP is just not that good at aiming and you'd trounce them in your kovaaks scores? Lemme know man I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
@MinnVictus except it's a bad habbit. It's best to just not use it, if you use it sorry but your aim just didn't good. I'm going to be aware of the fact that everyone is at different skill levels, and this is an educational video, but hit scan is the easiest dps role. click where you want to do damage, unlike any projectile dps that needs to lead shots, have predictive aim, and constantly analyze what the person they are fighting might do, in order to aim to extract the most value as they navigate the match. Ignoring projectile sizes and player model sizes in the high intensity aim duels, no amount of movement or prediction juking can save you from a hitscan.
