  • As a shop owner you come across stuff like this that you never really knew. I’m sure this info was already out there but this was new to us.

Nice comparison. There are even more Apex2 sport chassis variants. The new Datsun Truck has a different battery tray or tub, allows for a full stick pack installed on it's side. So weird!

A flexible chassis provides more mechanical grip. Thanks for the comparison

Does the non-sport chassis flex excessively? Have you had a chance to drive both and compare the handling? I was looking at buying the Hoonitruck variant just because that specific variant is reduced at my LHS. I also had no idea there was a 'sport' version let alone any differences between the two.
Wish they'd do a kit variant with all upgrades included.

It seems to flex more but in my experience when it comes to handling and racing a car can be too stiff. I would like to believe the engineers knife more than me and they took that into consideration.
