  • Why is the media apologizing to Kyrie Irving now? 🤔 With the Dallas Mavericks on the brink of the NBA Finals, there's been a surge in media personalities issuing public apologies to Kyrie Irving.
Are these media figures genuinely remorseful for their past criticisms? Or is it a strategic move as Kyrie shines on the court, leading the Mavericks to success?

It is easy to apologize when you see a player peeking and is now in the finals. The apology does not appear to be sincere. So, it takes being in the NBA Finals to get respect?

It s not too late, but sorry should come from the heart and forgiveness is mercy.. It s ok to criticize Kyrie for what he had done, but some people criticize him out of proportion, make it personal make him almost lost all if his career and when u look back what they said about Kyrie, it is very ugly..🤮

He received the correct amount of backlash at the time for his antics. Now, however, it is time to give him praise. He humbled himself, kept his head down, and just played ball - which is what we wanted from him all along. Kyrie changed, so our perception of him should change. Simple as that. And if he keeps it up, he'll get another shoe deal.

I have always liked Kyrie’s game. Ever since he played with Bron. Thb I kinda gave up on Kyrie after the hole Boston and nets situation. BUT I do agree with people saying we can’t forget what he said but we can forgive him. The way he is handling himself now by being the mentor to Luka and giving him space to shine when needed is absolutely amazing. I view this duo as the best in the league right now. Something I definitely didn’t expect to happen. And also the reason I view Dallas as favorites to win if Boston can’t figure out a way to match up nicely. To close this off I would like to say that everyone makes mistakes public figure or not. How you handle those mistakes is what defines a person’s future. Right now Kyrie is showing how to handle these things the right way. In 20 years ain’t nobody gonna remember what he said or didn’t say. He is focused on going forward and that’s what matters for all of us in the end

They’re all fake and Kyrie shouldn’t forgive anyone, not even the fake love gets all over the internet from fans now. 80% of the world was against him, then, don’t apologize now.

He's playing better, that's the main thing.
It has also become more acceptable in the last year to be an Anti Vaxxer and an anti- jewish conspiracy theorist.

That apology video of SAS wasn't really an apology video but a click bait. He never said the word "sorry" intended to Kyrie instead, he's just addressing Kenny calling him out on National TV. The hypocrisy of this dude Stephen A has just leveled up now that Kyrie is on The Finals.

Too late…The apologies feel disingenuous, they attacked his character that being said forgive but never forget.

Kyrie has changed yes, but he was a total dink and thought he was smarter than everyone else. Chuck said it right. Kyrie's demise was his own doing and he grew from it to be a better person

I think its all BS. I agreed with Kyrie on the vax and the Israelite documentary link. I love that he stood on that as a man and didn't fold. I didn't agree with a lot of other things he said/did. I never judged him but I'm not an analyst paid to make waves.
What I don't get is why it's only after you play well and reach the finals everybody starts backtracking. If he had lost in the 1st round would that make him a bad person undeserving of the same apology Perk demands everyone to issue? No, but no one would be apologizing if he lost vs OKC or MIN. That's just so lame and disingenuous to me.
Side: Saying "its amazing what he did now that he has a team that wants him" is so off. Cleveland and Boston both wanted him. Ky wasn't a leader in Boston but he grew and is a better one now. He admitted his ego couldnt accept Bron getting the credit but hes matured and can accept it with Luka today. Its called growth & maturity.

Yes kyrie is changing the narrative & its great to see. But Let's not act like kyrie wasn't an asshole for 5yrs tho. He was a poor leader & cancer in the locker room. A coach killer. "We don't need a coach". He missed more time in Brooklyn than he played. Im happy he's changed, but he definitely deserved the scrutiny & punishment he got 🚫🧢
