Hello, wonderful people! I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. I know it's not perfect, but it was really fun to experiment with a different style :) Is there any other craft/technique you would like to see me try in the future?
SUSHI!!! I’m really excited to give it a try, you’re one of the first videos I’ve seen as I’ve looked into it. Your tips help immensely cause I’m infamous at doing things like this in awkward positions and end up straining things
loved this so much! I've been getting more and more needle punching videos on my feed, and i have to say I am full convinced! i need to find some monks cloth and I can't wait to start
It's also my first time being introduced to punch needling. Very interesting and loved the final piece 😍 I may go and purchase some stuff and try for myself. Seems easier than crocheting. Also I would love if you post procreate landscape tutorials and children book illustration style tutorials too. Thanks again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah, it's incredibly easy! I have a bunch of children's book illustration tutorials in the work for May :D Is there anything specific you would like me to cover? There are still a few open spots in my calendar
@@GenevievesDesignStudio that's great! I will be waiting 😃 Thank you so much 💝 I love drawing nature in a cute cartoonish way though I am not good at. Maybe a tutorial for each different elements of nature that compose a landscape. Trees, mountains, flowers, clouds, night and day, fog, leaves. Each element from different angle, lighting and how to draw them together for the final illustration. Thanks again for replying and asking and uploading ❤️
Hiya! I loved this video!! Do you know if you could shave the rug to make it more of a cut style rather than a loop style rug, or would that not work? X
Sushi!! - I love your video I am for sure gonna try this! You have such a nice relaxing and calming personality. And I love the little animation transitions!! 💜
Oooh, thank you so much! I was really nervous to put out a video like this because it’s just so different from my usual tutorials. Glad to know you still like it :)
Sushi -- Your sushi rug came out so fun and cute! Where did you end up putting it (if you don't mind me asking)? Like, in your bathroom, your room, as a doormat inside, under a desk, etc?
Thank you so much! Right now it's in the middle of my small (gated) home office area. I can't really put it anywhere else because I know for a fact my rabbit will make it his new life mission to eat it if he has access to it haha 🙃
SUSHI! I think I would use a cream color instead of white, since it will be walked upon. And I think I’d use a permanent craft glue, like M6000 (I think that’s the name). That way I could wash it without worry that the glue would wash away.
Sushi! I am 100% going to try this! I've seen on tiktok and other places people making rugs but using like a crazy looking gun but not with the punch needle thing. Definitely going to try it, for yarn they should put the color code so if you're trying to match it in like Photoshop you can just put in that code and get that exact color. That'd be sweet
@@GenevievesDesignStudio I'm actually shopping for stuff now lol. I'll let ya know when I got it finished lol Question, the loop stitching you did at the end for the edges, what size needle did you use and did you use the same yarn you used for the whole rug or was it thinner? Was it just a random wide eye needle?
Hi Breanna! It really depends where you get your materials and how big of a rug you want to make. I personally went and got everything from my local art store which ended up being a bit more expensive than online, but there are kits available on Amazon that offer both the monk cloth and the needle for less than $20 and you can get the yarn for pretty cheap as well 😊 There are links for everything in the video description if you want to try it yourself! 🤍
Not even half of what I showed at the start of the video haha 🙃 for example, the white yarn ball was 288m and I’m pretty sure I would have enough for 2 more sushi rugs haha 🍣
Sushi Despite I will never do such a thing - because I am way to impatient, this video was very good :) But there are 2 things to mention! First: nice to see you and not just your hands. Second: your hands 😱 The camera lens made your right one look sometimes gigantic. Buy a simple 50 or 75mm lens and you are fine. It is nothing to worry about, just a litte bit funny. Second.2: your left hand seems to wear an engagement ring, so congratulations 😀
Yeah... my camera fell flat on the lens (bad tripod setup, 100% my fault) and my 50mm now won't focus on anything. So this was legit just filmed on my phone 🙃 I'm working on putting together a proper filming set up for 'talking' videos, I promise hahaha And thank you!

Thanks for this!
I just ordered a punch needle and I need a bathroom rug!
I look forward to seeing what else you've got.
Thank you again!
:)
Thank you so much. Your video is the only video ive seen on this topic that’s really helpful. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Sushi! This is the first of your videos that I've watched, and I love your relaxed vibes:)
Thank you so much 🤍

Nice you did good on it 😊

Nice. We had this punch needle project back in grade school.

sushi!! purchased your brush set and loving them!
Yay! Thank you so much, Allie :)

Love the video, btw!! This is the first one I've seen of yours, I've been in a punch needle/tufting rabbit hole on RUclips recently xD!!
Sushi ...love it so far
Yay! Thanks for letting me know :D
Sushi ! Love this !
Aloha,
Great Video.. Haha I thought it was what we call a "musubi" in Hawaii, basically rice nori ( seaweed) and spam. Sushi
Thanks for video...
how long does it take you to make a rug? and how much you sell it?
Great tutorial! You kind of reminded me of Nicola Roberts from girls aloud
sushi!!!
i love this video!! keep it up♥️

Enjoyed the video! I’m not a fan of sushi but I love the rug :)
Can we wash it in the washing machine?
Where did you get the bunny bust? Good job with the rug. Your bunny is adorable. Thankyou for sharing this with us 🤗
Thank you so much, Janelle!
I got the bunny bust a few years ago at a store here in Québec City 😊
Sushi!
This looks so cool. I'd love to see a Pokemon rug 😆
Oooooh, this is such a good idea 😱 But now the question is... which one? Hahaha
@@GenevievesDesignStudio you might have to pick it out of a hat!!!
Love that Sushi!! ;) xxx
For this u used 3mm needle or 5mm ?
5mm!
How much yarn do you think you’d need?😁
For a 20 square cm (for example mine is bigger)
I'm not exactly sure! For the white area of my rug (roughly the equivalent of 20 square cm), I didn't even use half of my 288m yarn ball :)
Sushi - Recently found channel and love your tutorials.
Suuuushiiii!!!!
Sushi!
Sushi :) I love you’re account so glad I found it!!!!
I can see you’ve got a lot of plant at home so may be you could do a Monstera for the next one ;)
Yeah... I might have a bit of a plant addiction problem 🙃
Sushi!! Beautiful work ✨
Thank you so much :)
Hi there :)! Thank you for this video 💙 I wanted to ask you please how much did all the materials cost in total to make a rug?
Hi Breanna! It really depends where you get your materials and how big of a rug you want to make. How can I prevent my fabric of getting loose when I remove my piece ?
