Don't listen to those picking holes in what you do, it's your allotment, your channel, your life - you do you! Can't wait to see the herb garden finished, what a great idea! Jealous of your rhubarb, it doesn't grow over here, I soooo miss my crumbles lol. Hope Mick is doing well. xx
Bodge or not Sarah, you achieved what you wanted. Once your boxes are painted they will look great. My hubby made some about 4 years ago for herbs and they are still going strong. So i think that was a job well worth doing. Your stone path looks lovely. Thats a job you can spread over a period of time. Buying a bag of stones when you can. Having paths that don't get riddled with mud is a definite bonus. Well done with your efforts, things are really coming together. As for tiding 😂 it'll get done, when it irritates you enough. Catch you next time. Xxx
That wasn’t a frivolous act…it was stunning. In the long run the investment in the rocks will give it a very polished look! Well done Sarah. 🎉 🌱🥔🥦🥒🌽🍏🍅🎉
I live in Canada and I feel like I live in the UK. Rain, rain , rain. Although for us it’s good, helps with forest fires that are horrendous here. Love your channel, it makes me happy..
Thank you . We had 3 days of sun and now it’s throwing it down . I really need to get my sunflower seeds in I may just go over later in the rain just to get them in
Waste not want not Hey Sarah. Might have to make one of these myself. Great job and awsome video. Go away rain and bring back summer... If it ever started.😊
Cardboard boxes would be good up under the green thingy, cardboard absorbs water and also leaks when soaked and it's biodegradable 🙂...you did a great job on the herbal pallet ❤...
You do you! This is your happy place. Fascinated you have to have a separate place to play gardener. Creative outlet. Put some caulk along the plastic before screwing was all I would have done differently. Have fun!
@@sarahsallotmentjourney Are you going to do art type planters or fantastic garden creatures out of finds from mudlarking? Gnomes, fairies, tea pots, cups and little potted crocks of herbs or flowers?
I was so confused on the pallet until I realized you were working on the bottoms and will flip it over to hold the herbs lol... Great thinking, and the wood may rot but I think it will last a few seasons actually.
Lol tights come in handy for so many things don’t they lol the thick strap came with the screw in pegs I had to join 3 together as not really for the poly tunnel
I am sorry if I am commenting so…..much,but I have been binge watching since 3:00 am(US time)I have been dealing with health issues,& I heard you talk of your allotment, but didn’t feel good till this morning & now I am so excited to go on this journey with you,I feel like I am getting my hands dirty right along with you.❤
It’s ok if it rots,it is biodegradable, wood comes out of the ground & it will go back into the ground! You are such a fantastic critical thinker, live & learn as you move along!❤
It will be fun to do again when it needs it (whisper=dont say rot) its always fun to redo projects... why just do some once and have them last forever?...thats a bit boring...and pottering and redoing and planning is relaxing.
I have been having computer and internet issues. Every time I restart my computer, my browser re-runs all the open tabs. I guess that's more views for you!
Lol I think it would only count the first watch on the same device but great either way I think you need to watch them twice to get the true value of it anyway
Awesome job Sarah anyone can spend a fortune on the garden but a real investment is recycling and your time. Have a super week and thanks for always posting such cool videos, Ali 🌥️🇨🇦
Great job on the little stone path and on the pallet repurpose. It will make a great planter. 🌱🪴😊 I always enjoy watching you work. I do jobs like you do. A bit here, a bit there…but everything eventually gets done! 😂
Yeh it will all get done in the end , planter is a good idea , did need to stand in that bit and kneel to sow the next lot of seeds but I could go in from the side I guess
I love seeing women with power tools and making good things happen.
I’m so rubbish with power tools but I give it a good go lol
Can't wait to see the finished herb planter! xx
Yeh looks great all finished , amazing what a coat of paint will do x

Make do and mend is what having allotment is all about use what you can find for free .
I do when I can but can’t always
I like how you are recycling old things into very useful objects
I do where I can , it’s not always possible but if I can I do
The stones look beautiful, it's BS that you can't keep them!
Sarah

You will prob do a much better job than my cobbled job . It’s completed in the next video . Looks soooo much better when painted and potted up
@@sarahsallotmentjourney the cobbled jobs are the best. They are unique and usually do a better job. Looking forward to seeing it complete ✅

Some ideas that don’t work too lol green plastic what was I thinking
I was so confused on the pallet until I realized you were working on the bottoms and will flip it over to hold the herbs lol... Great thinking, and the wood may rot but I think it will last a few seasons actually.
Ha oh yes I may have not quite explained that or it could have been cut out . Yeh it may last a season or two
I love your northern lass accent Sarah! Now that’s a reet posh storm strap. I had to use my tights whilst camping with the kids last summer 😂
