Hi Sarah. Awww your face when you saw your crops growing and being harvested, im so happy for you. Watching you here in the first week of September and here we are middle November with snow on the ground. I love your sign that you've painted, looks really colourful. Yes to the Nasturtion hedge, it'll look mint. Cant wait for my bulbs to come through in the Spring. Thanks Sarah xxxx
@@gaynor3976 thanks . By the time spring comes around I will be back to normal time videos which will over the months get ahead of themselves because in the winter I don’t go as much and I wanted to put content out every week
What a nice little harvest. Once those cucumbers get going you will be picking them left and right. Nasturtium hedge will look lovely. I didn't know snap peas got a dark color too. Bet your daughter enjoyed them. I know we used to sprinkle some kind of powder on and around our cabbages to keep the moths away. All in all your allotment is doing good . Your poor sunflower casualty..I think your right about letting peas dry out before harvesting the seeds. Love watching your allotment videos.
Wow you have had a successful growing season your gherkins are the typical 2 to 4 inches- well done - my mouth watered- and your snap peas 😮 - I like the nasturtium idea for next year
It’s nice to sit in the garden when it’s raining I have a water proof cover over our pergola and we often have lunch out in the rain just to enjoy looking at our garden so it’s nice to see you enjoying you allotment in the rain
@@sarahsallotmentjourney Im Canadian and just drove yesterday from Calgary, Alberta to Regina , Saskatchewan and I must say “the snow was unreal and the rain in Saskatchewan was just crazy”. So glad we’re home now but the rain and snow on the highway was down right scary! Luv from Canada 🇨🇦
What an excellent harvest - and loving those pumpkins - I've only just planted out mine so hoping to get a few like yours. The sign looks fantastic, much better in the colours.
Absolutely love the Garden, that is what it's called in Georgia USA. ....LOL! Cucumber can be eaten raw with a little salt and pepper, or dipped in ranch dressing is good too. The sign is adorable.
Everything looks wonderful Sarah. Outstanding work cleaning the grass around the edges. Love your colorful sign it turned out beautifully.Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
SARAH EVERYTHING IS LOOKING VERY GOOD I'D SAY IT IS A GOOD SURPISE TO YOU AFTER NOT BEING THERE FOR 2 WEEKS IT SURE HAS GROWN A LOT.PLANT SOME OF NESTERCIUS LIKE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AND JUST SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE,THATS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN LEARN I KNOW I DIDN'T SPELL THAT SEED RIGHT BUT HOPEFULL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN .THAT CUCUMBER IS READY 2 CUCUMBERS ONE FOR YOU AND ONE FOR MIC
your pumpkins and squash are doing great, i saw at our local RHS garden they made little hammocks for the fruit. Amazing how quick things change and grow whilst away for a holiday!
It’s late for me to be watching this video , Stupid me.. just realized that you are combining the crafting videos with the allotment videos. You are so talented. Keep growing.
Did you notice there were more of those ready-to-pick gherkin/cucumbers at the bottom of the vine? Everything is growing so well Sarah. Another really enjoyable video. 🙂
You made me laugh with the chard! I pulled a load of radishes out the other day thinking they were weeds then realised i had direct sown loads of them just dotted them around ha!
Sarah your allotment is fab, your vlogs are entertaining and inspire me. I have an allotment in Lancashire and your sunflower casualty reminded me of the year my giant one snapped in the wind. It was about 7 ft tall and hanging on by a thread. I had a brainwave and used a blue surgical glove as a type of plaster, supported it and hoped for the best. Couldnt believe it not only survived but grew to 13ft 7 inch and won the allotment competition for tallest sunflower 😂. Nature is so resilient.
How lovely to see that you have a harvest Sarah. The pumpkin and squash patch has produced a handsome crop. Some are well on the way to being a good size. 👏 Your peas too, did well. If you see pod's with well formed peas , you can cut them off the stalk and then just keep them dry in an open container. Let them dry out completely and naturly. Then keep them till your ready to re plant. In a cool dry place. A lidded jar or one of your litted plastc tubs. Loving the allotment life Sarah. Its a pleasure to see your excitement watching things grow. 😊 Next year Sarah, can you please grow more of the things you would like to eat yourself. 😂 Maybe an apple tree, or plum tree. You can buy ones that don't grow too large. We have one in out small terrace garden. The apple from the shared allotment looked very tasty indeed. A beautiful red and a good Crunch. Yummy 😋 X
All looking good but I think you may have pulled out the other colours of your rainbow chard. You get orange, red, yellow and white as well as the red. The pumpkins are amazing and yes you should pickle the gerkins and pick them much smaller.
If you get a beer can leave a 3rd of the beer in it put it in a hole near the crops that the slugs are eating they will go in and drowned happy. Using slugs pellets is bad for headge hogs that eat the slugs and get poisoned. How much do you grow for your self ?
