Hi! No; not straight on the plate. It just won't slide. You have to draw on paper (I use newsprint) and then turn it upside down so you rub the chalk onto the plate.
Please show me what you do with these pieces after you make them..please. I know you must use them for collage can you show your collage work? Thank you so much for your patience with me..😊
I love watching this process! :D
Wonderful, clear instructions. Great results, Carolyn!
Thanks! It's a fun technique!
Didn’t know about charcoal transfer-thank you! Gorgeous!
Thanks! Show me what you try!😊
I love your videos and have learned more from you than other artists. You speak clearly and slowly and your instructions are so clear. Thank you!

Had no idea we could use charcoal in gelli printing…thanks!
Yes! And chalk pastels too! The colours show up.
Thanks so much for sharing your two techniques. The results are very nice. What size Gelli plate did you use? Thanks again and Happy Holidays.
Hi! Thanks! I used 16" x 20" gelli plates
Are you letting the paint dry between applications?
Yes.
Can you give the specific name/brand of that yellow paint?
Hi! It’s called Deco Art Americana buttermilk
Gotta let dry after removing stencil before the pick up layer
Yes - for the one pull you do.
I am so sorry if this is a stupid question.. Can you draw the chalk straight onto the geli plate?

You need to tell to let the paint dry between layers.
You are right - I'll add that in the next video!
Could you not put the pieces of paper on charcoal markings and then roll black over it?
Yes! But, then the charcoal not coated with acrylic would dust off.
Great info Carolyn!
Thanks for watching!
