Even if Luffy ate it purely by accident, we all know that technically that ain’t true. If Shanks had 0 intentions of giving the fruit to Luffy, the fruit would have still chosen him cuz Zoan fruits have a mind of their own. It’s entirely possible that Luffy was drawn to it in some way or d other
I always found it weird that shanks just carelessly left it out on the table like he did. He went to the trouble of stealing it from the world government and then left it so unguarded that a little kid just took it and he didnt notice until it was to late.
@@vaporwave1450 go watch the episode they meet again shanks didnt know ace was luffy brother cus why whould he, he left before they become brothers, but he did know who ace was
Luffys fruit is Human Human Model Nika which also means its a zoan type. In lore Zoan types have a will of their own and will actually disappear when the wrong person tries to eat it. Therefore this defeats the theory of shanks hiding the fruit. Because theres no way to tell the will of the fruit until the person tries to eat it.
Tier 9: *Shanks' hair is the final red poneglyph.* Shanks' hair is the only red object in One Piece that is shaded the same way as the Red Poneglyphs. There are other characters with red hair in One Piece, like Kid, Kanjuro, Rockstar, Bastille, Ichiji, and Kalgara, but their hair is always *white* in the manga.
I think it is more of a “I can’t let you be king if you aren’t ready to be that man.” A fight will ensue and the only way Luffy will get to have the one piece is if he can beat Shanks, cementing him as the most powerful Haki user in the world and capable enough to change the world.
I don't want Shanks to be a villain but I'm also thrilled about the idea. If ever he turns out to be the evil mastermind, he would be one of the best written villains and would be able to put Luffy through some real emotional turmoil
Not possible , shanks is too much of a hero , but this doesn’t mean that puffy and shanks will never fight . They both wanna be the king nd find the one piece so I believe they may have a competition and compete against each other in several mini games but another theory is the one piece is true love or true friendship , and all the good guys get there at the same time and they all have to team up to get it the same way shanks and puffy coordinated their attacks againat utta demon in one piece red
The antagonist doesn't have to be evil. Shanks could just be forced to stand in Luffy's way, and Luffy has to push through his innocent/childish Gear 5 to gain the power to pass Shanks. In the manga, the elders are actually stupidly OP as well, so... it's not so easy to punch their way through the world government.
@@LEZZEROG shanks doesn't want to be the pirate king, he knows where laugh tale is and he knows what and where the one piece is because he was apart of rogers crew, if he wanted to be the pirate king, he could've already
I like how Oda said that Shanks was found by Roger and Rayleigh in a treasure chest on the God Valley island where Roger's crew along with Garp and the Marines fought Rocks D Xebec pirates. The Island were also to be said where Celestials Dragon live... so it begs the question is Shanks related to Rocks D Xebec or the Celestials Dragon?
@Buggy we never know the situation so its still vague maybe Rocks came to the Island first(having baby Shanks on his ship) thinking it wont be an all out war/fight but then Roger and Garp came to ambush him. Just like how Oden casually bring his children on a pirate ship what if Suddenly Garp and Sengoku attack the WB pirates and Oden had to put their babies in treasure chests or something
Rocks went to god valley. Impregnated a woman. Left for 9 months. Came back fought the marines and rogers crew and died. His wife scared of the marines / roger searching for rocks son put him in the treasure chest
I feel like Shanks could be Rocks’ son and buggy a celestial dragon due to their respective personalities, but knowing oda he’d flip ur expectations and make Buggy his son and Shanks the celestial, but I feel like it’s gonna be one of these two scenarios
Just started back on One Piece and honestly… This is a one of the best Series I’ve ever watched. The story is so rich but what I love about it the most is the buildup. There are so many unanswered questions, can you imagine the action that’s going to unfold when the world gets turned upside down? It’ll be better sweet because eventually we’ll have to say goodbye but damn has it been a hell of a ride
I feel like shanks became stronger after losing his arm, and can actually conjure arm of pure armament haki. Something I've thought about for a while but haven't seen anyone talk about online.
haki is a supplementary power system though like you can enhance whatever fighting skill you already have using haki (eg: swordsmanship, your devil fruit power etc) but you can't make haki your entire fighting style. even if you're a hand to hand fighter like Garp or (leg to leg in their case) Sanji or Rayleigh you can still only enhance your hits using haki but so far nothing in the story had indicated towards the fact that it is possible to make things such as an arm out of haki (I'm just trying to have a discussion please don't start yelling at me about my stupidity)
@@chuuyaism1653 sorry for being late, om new in One Piece. If Haki is just a supplementary power system, why Kaido said many times that Roger was the strongest and conquer everything with just Haki? I mean, even Garp with just Haki in just PUNCHES is one of the strongest. But why?? Is just a kind or armor but other characthers with super powers in the devil fruits and even combine with Haki, somehow are less powerfull than Garp and Roger with just Haki? I mean, even Kaido is Haki and DF, so how is him or other characters inferior?
@@HIWHYAIWYAGD maybe i phrased it weird, i meant like haki helps enhance their hits. For the examples you gave, Garp's punches are enhanced so his haki greatly pushes his punch's attack power (ap) but his haki is not being used as a direct attack. Roger's big sword thingy (which is implied to be his main weapon) is covered in armament and leads to hits with the sword hitting much harder but its not the haki itself that is forming a weapon or something its must supplementing the hit of the sword, elevating its ap to insane heights. Kaido has a devil fruit AND haki yes, but Garp and Roger's hakis are simply that much stronger and better. Conqueror's haki is the only one we have seen so far being used as a direct attack and even that cannot CREATE anything, it can simply make people bow to your will (which basically means people with weaker wills will faint). So yeah, the best way I can think of to describe haki was a supplementary power.
I don't think Shanks can predict the future. While Luffy has special ability to attract powerful people to join him, Shanks has special ability recognize powerful people early on. We can see this this happen with luffy, blackbeard, yasopp, coby and mihawk. He can detect powerful and dangerous people early on. It's no coincidence that the Red Hair pirate has the most powerful crew among all Yonko. It's possible that Shanks use this ability to create strong pirate group.
Oda mentioning that there will probably be a death soon got me thinking. If Garp goes to save koby from blackbeard I could see garp going to far lengths to keep both koby and law from death. I'm sure garp feels guilty for letting ace die. Garp creating an opening to save law aswell could make sense considering he was the reason luffy survived at the paramount war. He could feel deeply indebted to him and be willing to sacrifice himself to get both of them out to safety. Now with all the things that have shortened luffys lifespan in the show it could make sense that at some point soon it catches up to him. And there is one op op man that could give him a whole lot more lifespan lol. I could see law giving his life for luffy after his grandpa did it for law and especially after luffy pretty much accomplished everything law wanted to do for him. We've been with law for so long in the story it would definitely be heart wrenching to see this sacrifice. In addition it would make sense to have luffy be immortalized to keep joyboy watching over the world. Plus brook wouldn't have to out live another crew.
Blackbeard was killed in battle on 22nd November 1718 Lieutenant Robert Maynard “an experienced Officer(Garp), and a Gentleman of great Bravery and Resolution”(Coby) finally killed Blackbeard, in a bloody battle at the mouth of the Okracoke Inlet.
I like the idea that Luffy goes and fights the people we expect, Akainu, Imu, Blackbeard but then he lands of Laugh Tale and Shanks is already there with his crew, he tests Luffy and his crew in a no holds barred battle to see if he is truly ready for the One Piece a fight I believe Shanks may be fighting with killer intent as to not hold back and/or treat Luffy with kids gloves.
8:02 being a Yonko is not only about power and strength, I believe you know this right. Territories, influences and large fleet along with crew members are required for you to be considered as Yonko and Mihawk lacks all of these despite having the strength and power.
@@thatvisiblemanoverthere3182 better in what way? in terms of raw power we don't know, hell the last time they fight is when shanks still got both his arms. Well I still do believe that he's still the greatest swordsman in the current timeline or else he's not zoro's goal anymore. Gotta love these fanboys screaming for their fav characters
@@eman6275 Okay then think about it rationally. Obviously Zoro’s goal is beating Mihawk and becoming the #1 Swordsman. But Luffy’s goal is a bit more complex; from what we know about his dream, he wants to be Pirate King but he also wants to return his hat to Shanks and Luffy even said he wants to surpass Shanks and have his crew surpass Shanks’ crew. Now, would it make sense narratively for Zoro’s goal be harder than Luffy’s? No. Mihawk even tells Luffy after he beats Zoro that this goal of being Pirate King is harder than being the strongest swordsman. Now since Luffy wants to be Pirate King and Zoro wants to be the strongest swordsmen it’s interesting that the two people they’re gunning to take down were rivals; being Shanks and Mihawk. However, Luffy is the main character and Zoro is the deuteragonist. Would it make sense for Zoro to beat someone who is stronger than someone Luffy is supposed to beat or surpass. No! If Mihawk was stronger than Shanks, then Zoro would have to become stronger than Shanks, who is Luffy’s goal. So even if it was just for a few chapters, you’re saying that Zoro would be stronger than Luffy. I doubt Oda would ever write a chapter of One Piece where Zoro is stronger than Luffy, who is Zoro’s captain. Let’s even take Marineford, when Shanks pulled up to stop the war what did Mihawk do? He walked away. He knew he couldn’t win! This was a guy who just fought in a whole war and used minimal effort but took a look at Shanks and said that “Red Hair is another matter entirely”. Also, for another example we can look at their heights. Now I know, this is One Piece and there are heights that are ridiculous but it seems that when rivals are involved, heights seem to indicate who is slightly better. For example, Zoro’s cannon height is 181 cm and Sanji’s cannon height is 180 cm. Another example is how King has a cannon height of 613cm and Queen has a cannon height of 612cm. Both of these comparisons show that even though Zoro and Sanji & King and Queen are extremely close in power, antagonistic to each other at times, and rivals. However, the 1 cm difference seems to indicate that Zoro and King are just slightly better than Sanji and Queen, which makes sense because in Wano Zoro fights King and Sanji fights Queen. Now back to Shanks and Mihawk, Shanks’ cannon height is 199 cm and Mihawk is 198 cm. Given the evidence I’ve provided, I think you’ll see what I’m getting at. It wouldn’t make sense if Mihawk was stronger than Shanks. Check the SBS, manga, youtube, etc. It’ll line up.
Shanks being the final boss really seems to be the case. In many video games, movies and tv shows, the character who helps the protagonist in the beginning is the one who fights him in the end.
it makes the most sense simply because it would be the most emotional scenario for the viewers, which is sth animes want to trigger the most, emotions, especially oda does that a lot
I know this is a reach, but I think there’s some extra possibility in shanks being “evil” in the fact of his ability to block observation haki. Observation works by feeling traces of the opponents will/intent. If shanks was a sociopath it would mean he has the type of personality trait that obscures your intentions/allows you to lie.
I had an idea for a shanks villain theory that the straw hat & the nika fruit were requisite to “unlock” laughtale, and the reason that roger was 20 years too soon was because the holder of the fruit was still alive - I think shanks killed him, and tried to take the fruit, but destiny intervened & the fruit and hat were passed onto luffy. Instead of killing garp’s grandson & risking that ire across the whole grand line, shanks plans is to wait at the doors to laughtale & collect the fruits (ba dum tsss) of his labor when the time is right & Garp cannot intervene. It’s a long shot but it’s kinda fun to think ab.
I like this I just think now that we know shanks took the fruit from the government with how much he knew he probably wouldn’t have killed whoever had the fruit without insuring he had the means to get it when he died
It’s a very long shot, if shanks wanted luffy to die without killing him he wouldn’t save him from the mountaineer and would just let luffy drown and act like he was too late
Popular theory: Shanks is the son of Rocks and actually Rocks D Shanks, and his mother was a celestial dragon. Shanks joining Roger's crew is actually tied to the God Valley Event. Evidence: Actual evidence is kind of thin. There's a chapter with Buggy early on where the dialogue is kind of odd. They're talking about "The Pirate Life" and Buggy's attitude towards Shanks feels like "What do you know about the Pirate Life?" implying that Buggy is judging his background, and possibly implying privilege. Idea: Shanks actually made it to Laugh Tale with Roger, and learned the secrets of the world. Shanks, as a celestial dragon, already knew things like what Doflamingo knows. This combined knowledge put him, in terms of knowing secrets about the world, on equal footing with the Gorosei, which is why he's allowed to meet with them. Shanks, wanting to keep the peace, became the leader of Sword. Sengoku is associated of affiliated and acts as a recruiter. Rosinante is a first instance of a "secret agent" being recruited, and to me memory he wasn't affiliated with Cipher Pol. So, because of Shanks, Sword is allowed to exist within the marines and unaffiliated with Cipher Pol and independent from the world government. I know how odd that sounds, but it's like he'd report to Kong instead of the Gorosei, and he's allowed more autonomy. So, Rosinante's storyline also intersects with X Drake's backstory, and I feel like Sengoku recruited X Drake. Coby impressed both Shanks and Sengoku at Marineford and was also recruited. Foreshadowing is... Luffy basically told him that he's a joke as a pirate. I don't know lol. Shanks' only friend outside his crewmates is Mihawk who is introduced as a "Pirate Working for the Marines". It's possible that Kaido really was going to go help Whitebeard, but Shanks stopped him so that 2 members of the Rocks pirates wouldn't join up and attack the world government. Kaido could reveal this and cause a lot of emotional damage to Luffy. Ace is coming up a lot lately. Personal opinion: I feel like even if my theory is partially true, Shanks doesn't have absolute loyalty to the marines, he just keeps balance, and he's not ever planning on recruiting Luffy because Luffy genuinely reminded him of Roger. Shanks' role of "Keeping Balance" will put him in direct confrontation with Luffy who is turning the world upside down. I feel like I missed a lot. Thoughts?
No, that's very unlikely and lacks motivation or thrill. Rather most probable twist to the tale could be shanks being related to Imu or something bigger.
Your beginning was very good and up straight with what might happen. However, when it comes to Shanks' loyalty, one could only guess from the summed up facts leading to the latest chapter that : *Shanks is somehow accomplishing what Roger wanted to accomplish. Roger and his entire crew knew the Truth and probably Roger knowing he would die soon, reqd. to place at least one of his own crew in a position of strength that rivalled those of the highest at that time that he himself had combated and Shanks fit the bill.* May be he is not wholly loyal to anyone and even runs the Sword but his true intentions are to ensure that Luffy succeeds in his quest (or ensure Luffy ends up the way he is supposed to in order to reveal the One Piece - basically using him to accomplish Roger's vision). Other than this cannot think of anything because Shanks had his Captain in extremely high regards almost as an ideal which is why he was passed on the *will* and may be the hat is representative of that ! *The Will* - selected on basis of the person's leaning and character. So him going against Roger's vision (which may definitely not be "balancing" alone), would defy the context. However good theory 👍
*"Red Hair"* Shanks can be the final obstacle since he declared of pursuing THE ONE PIECE at the end of the Land of Wano Arc. I see this a way more poetic angle to end One Piece and see the fight between The Straw Hat Pirates and The Red Hair Pirates.
If this theory turns out to be true, then it better be a god damned Davie Back fight between the Red Hairs and the Strawhats for the One Piece. But seriously though, imagine a Davie Back as the final fight in the series. And then you get the added bonus of Shanks being right there to celebrate Luffy's biggest party ever.
@@naufalariiif he will no matter how much I hate that fact. What i dont want to see is luffy becoming the king of pirates tbh. Super weird but id prefer either shanks giving him the treasure which means that he found who the joy boy was or shanks taking it himself because he had the same dreams as luffy when he was little. Shanks seems to be more reckless now. Also he asked ben if its time to claim the one piece. Now I don't really know if shanks is lying his crewmates about becoming the king. I dont know if they know that he wants to help luffy...i mean nobody really knows. But if shanks turned out to have luffy bamboozled im sorry but with all my due respect he has to take the one piece. I mean not only he is way stronger than any other pirate but he will turn out to be smart af. You can't compare shanks with luffy.
What if... hear me out.... in some ways Buggy is going to be a major character for a big plot, but it's not the time yet. Because even Buggy doesn't know about his true identity. In some incident his memories went gone caused by the DF ability which Pudding now posses. Imagine he regains his memories about himself, his true origin. He strips oft his red nose, his comedic clown behaviour and reveals jaw dropping stuff. Damn that would be a twist
An Idea popped up in my Head lately..The Straw Hat that Luffy has seems to have a great Significance..And since the 4th One is said to have been "lost" and it`s Whereabouts unknown, what if the Straw Hat is kind of a Guide to the final Road Poneglyph or even the 4th one itself?
Here is a better theory, Luffy (in panic/shock did not remember understand correctly what happened) but without realizing it, he saved Shanks from the seaking (after it bit off the arm). Luffy can hear the seakings, Shirahoshi can call on the seakings in a moment of despair, maybe Luffy can too or at least to the point of the seaking realizing who he is and being left alone by it. Shanks saw that and then realized Luffy is Joyboy because he knows what is on Laughtale.
Everything you said is wrong. It is very explicitly clear that Shanks scared away the sea king. Also, Shanks does not know what's on Laughtale. Bad theory.
Last time I was this early to a vid, Roger was still laughing. Also an theory is that Shank's sword is named after the mythical beast, but it is also named after a pirate. His name was Thomas Griffin, a pirate from the 1690s.
you forgot the Theory that theres a curse surronding shanks that kills people that drink sake with him ( shortly after ace drank sake with him he got captured and eventually executed, same with whitebeard and mihawk was at least attacked) this theory shold belong in tier 8
but at the chapter where shank were passing by wano he asked his crew that if it is the time to claim one piece so he has interest . how could he be the guardian of one piece if he wanna claim it.
He can be it’s guardian and still want to get it for safe keeping. If it is an island, he can surround that island until someone comes along that he feels could deserve it, then go and get it or find it so he can be sure it’s safe until the fighting ensues.
Firstly : *Your editing is awesome !* Secondly wish to say that there perhaps would never be such a big epic Anime series *ever* . This beat DBZ, Naruto etc. among others long ago in terms of story, adventure, action, characters & characterization etc. Being a Pirate maniac, I immediately clicked with this series once when my friend redirected me to watch it after he initiated me into the Anime world after FMA : Brotherhood. After the first, I have watched several anime series and can clearly say *none comes close to this.* Kudos to Eiichiro Oda San 🙏 Although a 90's kind (born between '90 - 2000) and having grown up with DBZ among others, have never enjoyed a series as much as One Piece. Am a professional R&D guy now still One Piece not off my mind. Just hoping Oda continues to write something else after the main series or cooperates for some script and story for anime or live action specifically although this will be taking another 3 - 5 years to complete. Love it hands down. Would be very difficult to get something like this after it ends, hence don't even want to think about the ending.
I have a theory unrelated to shanks, but I couldnt find the answer. My theory is what happens when someone eats multiple devil fruits, for example, aces/sabos fruit, whitebeards fruit and luffys fruit, together with something like brooks fruit. Since 2 or more devil fruits kills you, the revive fruit will revive you. So lets say this does work and you have been revived, do you keep the previous 3 fruits or what?
Wait.. hear me out, what if Roger's death is what caused the Nika fruit to be reborn into the cycle, and that's why when luffy says the exact same thing as Roger both shanks and Rayleigh are excited, because "it worked" and that's another reason roger turned himself in. I'm not gonna lie I just thought of this and I now love the idea
@@Honor_and_Steel I mean that could also be it, but I was meaning more that he learned of the fruits existence in the past AND how devil fruits are made at laughtale, and because of roger setting an age of adventure and dreams with his death, he in a way "revives" the devil fruit back into the cycle by having so many people wishing for it without even knowing. Would explain why the 5 elders said that it hasn't been awakened in hundreds of years, and why shanks called it a legendary devil fruit if he knew the truth. And thats why the will of the fruit found someone like roger to eat it. Do I think this theory to be true? Idk honestly. But I like the idea of it.
@naumanhasan4282 while I wait I enjoy coming up with ideas. It's part of my enjoyment of the series lol. I've had a ton of theories and I don't think a single one of them are actually going to be true, I just enjoy thinking of how and why until the mysteries of the series have been solved
Do you think Vegapunk is secretly plotting to revive Rocks as he is the only person who can go head to head against W.G and he has programmed Kuma to help him for the purpose?
Here is a theory I always think about:we know that devil fruits carry the previous users trait and some skills (blackbeard and sabo using same skills of previous user). So HERE is my theory ,maybe the marines cant find the HITO HITO NOMI NIKA bcuz its in laughtale, bcuz previous user was joyboy...and roger ate that and then eventually executed. Then as story goes luffy gets the fruit and he started saying roger did. Thats why shanks and rayleigh are surprised of luffy saying same words as roger.
If the theory says that Shanks has eaten a devil fruit to enhance his haki, how come he could swim to safe Luffy's life from the king of the beast at the starting of the show.
The same composition has appeared several times in recent animation battle scenes. When Lucci vs Luffy, S-Hawk vs Zoro, etc. appeared, the villain appeared on the left, but in the same composition, Shanks appeared on the left in Shanks vs Kid. That makes it possible that he is a villain.
Usopp iceberg video would be super awesome cuz just saying what he's done as a character and the speculation of what he'll do next sounds awesome to me anybody else agree with me say I agree in the replies
funny that this came out. I recently watched treasure Planet (best disney movie, fight me on that one) and the plot with capitan Flyn got me like ,,ey yo, could this be something that shanks can do ? ,, I mean he appears always out of nothing. but this could also fit with the Tyr theory so. don't mind the silent watcher here
I don't think Shanks can see into the future. I think the One Piece can see into the future and those who've used it have seen the future already and know what's going to happen. It's why they show up at important times to help the various characters at specific times. Shanks may not have seen the One Piece, but he knows a lot of people that have and they might be slipping him notes.
I got a theory about Shank's Devil fruit or power. I think he got an Over Powered one but the downside is that he needs to rest for a long period of time to regenerate or to build up his strength and power back again. This explains why he lost his arms from the seamonster, blackbeard scarring his face, and also he just popped in and out but always never there from important events or fights because during those times he might be resting or doesn't have any strength at all.
@@ninjaslasherslash6167 he was bleeding so much that he was swimming in his blood instead of the sea water. And then offscreen his crew came to get both of them out of the water. Gaimon is the one piece.
I literally just watched the Best One Piece Theory, but better, and now this just a few minutes after. God is blessing me with the essence of the theories created by the Theory Theory No Mi.
I would love to see a video on all the theories on all the strawhats! Plus it could make for great shorts if you clip each strawhat individually. Thanks for the great video as always!
One theory that has gained traction as a result of recent issues contends that Shanks is actually evil within One Piece. Much of this theory was based on his meeting with the Gorosei, with the propagators of this claim arguing that his alignment with the World Government got him the meeting.
^^?? Did you even watch the video until 2:11 before commenting this?? And 25 people who mindlessly liked this it applies to you to, don’t make commentary on material YOU DIDN’T WATCH.. LOOOOL🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shanks is the Rurouni Kenshin of One Piece. Fights for justice and peace to bring balance in the world as the red haired wanderer (pirate) with a sword and scar. If Shanks is evil your basically saying he's been Shishio the entire time which is more like Teach and Rocks persona
Hear me out: Shanks is the Protector of the Ds History in One Piece is written in the end in the End The Ds will clash and there is not one specific D actually Every D stands for something else f.e. Luffy Dawn Teach Doom Law Death etc. thats what Whitebeard had so much hopes in Teach nonne knows who will be the dawn
Well I don't think Shanks is actually evil and neither his meeting with Luffy nor eating the devil fruit is planned by him as the devil fruit has a will of its own that made Luffy eat it. Shanks wasn't aware of this at first (which explains his reaction), but afterwards he created a memory in Luffy that he will never forget. That by sacrificing his left arm. (Shanks was at this point way too strong to lose an arm to a fish). Roger said they arrived too early on laugh tale and I think the Devil Fruit Nika is needed for some reason, which is why when it finally chose its owner, Shanks uses Luffy (bc. he got chosen by the fruit) to achieve his unknown goal, maybe related to Gol D. Rogers . Shanks is probably proud of Luffy and likes him a lot (thats why he drunk with Mihawk after him achieving a bounty). That doesn't prevent him from using him though. Honestly I can't see Shanks being evil as this misunderstanding (by Uta) was already solved in the movie "RED". It would be weird to cast Shanks as a good guy in the end of the movie, but later in the series he is supposed to be bad?
What if there is a vivre card that is hidden underneath that big strawhat or underneath Luffy's strawhat where to locate the original owner of that strawhat. I remember Shanks smiled when he looked the bottom part of the strawhat before he gave it to Buggy during Marineford war. Shanks also mentioned to Buggy he have a map with lots of treasure. Could it be whats underneath it?
Definitely not Luffy's strawhat, Luffy had Ace's vivre card stored in there, he would've noticed if something was hidden in there. I think the huge Strawhat is a trophy of Imu's from defeating Joyboy, and Shanks meets with the Gorosei because they know that he stole JoyBoys devilfruit and they're trying to talk and figure something out because they know what joyboy is and was capable of, and now that the fruit has been eaten, joyboy (Luffy) is coming back for round 2 and the World government is in fear of the world being free like Joyboy had done before the void century. I think Shanks always smiling and protecting whenever it comes to Luffy, it is because he is waiting for the reincarnation of JoyBoy to finally emerge, he definitely knows what that fruit is and does if he was meeting with the Gorosei.
it was originally thought that one piece would last for 4-5 years according to the directors so comparing the past may not be that significant because most of the future events were not thought nor written when the first part of the series was released so it may all be a coincidence
Oda said he already knew the ending in his head from the start of the manga, but it's normal trough decades that somethings are added or changed. Right now I don't believe One Piece is ending in 4-5 years cause that means 150chapters with his pace, like 2022 he got 32-35 chapters made. For sure he is going to aim at least at the 30year anniversary of the opera, that will be 2027.
See, my theory since the beginning was that Shanks is a Davy Back Fight expert. It's how Shanks was able to hold back Kaido's full force from the war at Marineford, Kaido didnt want to lose his precious crew. It's why nobody wants to fight him, gorosei included. The only person who used to fight him was Mihawk that we're aware of....the only person without a crew and a jolly roger in a world of pirates, which is what you lose in a Davy Back Fight. It sounds like Mihawk would have liked to battle him to win back what he lost, but won't now that he lost an arm out of honor that he isn't "whole" anymore and that it wouldn't be an honorable battle to win. That's why Blackbeard said he wasn't ready to fight Shanks' crew at Marineford. I had it all tie into a wild theory that one member of Shank's crew has a contract-related fruit that also tied into the "Shanks of the Underworld" theory. That being said, I think the Straw Hats will do a Davy Back Fight vs Blackbeard instead, since Blackbeard's crew seems to be kidnapping Straw Hat allies lately - I put that theory up on your subreddit.
If the minimal amount of "rules" that we're aware of for Davy Back Fights allowed the Cross Guild to compete (it doesn't seem that it would, since a "captain" has to approve of the battle), then I'd almost say that you could have a 4-way battle occur between the Cross Guild, Blackbeard Pirates, Straw Hats, and Red-Haired pirates. Which would be sick, but insanely unlikely.
In one piece, if you know the full history, that means you know the circular nature of the worlds timeline and the worlds destiny. It also means you know liberation/Nika will never come if certain events/evils don’t occur. This would explain Imu and the Gorseis actions. They aren’t inherently evil, they’ve just taken the responsibility of cultivating the world (good and evil) with minimal damage in order to bring about Nika. Kinda like cultivating a forest, sometimes for seeds to germinate you have to burn things down. This is why we still see them sad about decisions like ohara and Lulusia but non compromised. I think the One Piece is actually the true history, which just confirmed for Roger (who could’ve sought medical help) he needed to die. In finally giving in to the government, he was joining in their goal and accepting his role in history.
My theory would be that Shanks becomes the Pirate King before Luffy. But of course not seeing the One Piece. He might be the closest to Laugh Tale. And therefore he is declared as the next 'Pirate King'. 3 reasons for this (including my personal bias): 1. It would be a real kick in the gut when we see Shanks becomes the Pirate King. 2. It would make it a direct parallel of him handing over the mantel from Roger to Luffy, just like the Straw Hat. Plus the beginning of the new (current) Saga began with Shanks telling Beckman that he's going to claim the One Piece. And after few chapters we see Luffy's real dream revealed to his crew. 3. After becoming the Pirate King, Shanks can host a super gigantic Davy Back Fight. Since this would be probably the last arc, almost all of the major characters of the series will appear in the Davy Back Fight. Ever since the story began there has been never a serious challenge to someone contesting for the title of Pirate King. We have only seen ambitions of characters like Big Mom, Kaido, BB or Luffy. WB was closest to One Piece but didn't want to claim it. P.S. I have a very strong feeling that Roger will return in the story as a character or something to interact with Luffy. It has to happen. And therefore an interaction between the three Pirate Kings would be amazing.

Tier 9:
*Shanks' hair is the final red poneglyph.*
Shanks' hair is the only red object in One Piece that is shaded the same way as the Red Poneglyphs. There are other characters with red hair in One Piece, like Kid, Kanjuro, Rockstar, Bastille, Ichiji, and Kalgara, but their hair is always *white* in the manga.
bruh that it like tier infinity,
imo it should be higher
haha that would be the best. but some panels the road poneglyphs are just plain white. buggys nose also has shading over it, maybe thats the last one.
that is a great theory bro holy s*it!!
Or maybe "Red Hair" Shanks, IS the final red poneglyph. Not just his hair but he himself.

I really do think they are setting up shanks for a "never meet your heroes" arc.
exactly but less see how it goes
💯👌🏽
I mean, Luffy has met his hero dozens of times already during his childhood.
“Your idols become your rivals” type beat
That would be the worst plot twist of all time to be honest.
It would 100% be the best villain topping Aizen for me
The antagonist doesn't have to be evil.
Shanks could just be forced to stand in Luffy's way, and Luffy has to push through his innocent/childish Gear 5 to gain the power to pass Shanks.
In the manga, the elders are actually stupidly OP as well, so... it's not so easy to punch their way through the world government.

Mmm, a great insight I haven’t seen in a while
haki is a supplementary power system though like you can enhance whatever fighting skill you already have using haki (eg: swordsmanship, your devil fruit power etc) but you can't make haki your entire fighting style. even if you're a hand to hand fighter like Garp or (leg to leg in their case) Sanji or Rayleigh you can still only enhance your hits using haki but so far nothing in the story had indicated towards the fact that it is possible to make things such as an arm out of haki
(I'm just trying to have a discussion please don't start yelling at me about my stupidity)
The haki haki no mi fruit theory is pretty interesting, but how did Shanks not drown while saving Luffy?
Maybe he ate it afterwards
I don't think Shanks can predict the future. While Luffy has special ability to attract powerful people to join him, Shanks has special ability recognize powerful people early on. We can see this this happen with luffy, blackbeard, yasopp, coby and mihawk. He can detect powerful and dangerous people early on. It's no coincidence that the Red Hair pirate has the most powerful crew among all Yonko. It's possible that Shanks use this ability to create strong pirate group.
That's such a terrible theory.
@IBriansit0 Don't be a jackass about it. His theory is really good
Oda mentioning that there will probably be a death soon got me thinking.
This would be equally great as it would be a travesty🥲
Blackbeard was killed in battle on 22nd November 1718
Lieutenant Robert Maynard “an experienced Officer(Garp), and a Gentleman of great Bravery and Resolution”(Coby) finally killed Blackbeard, in a bloody battle at the mouth of the Okracoke Inlet.
While it would be interesting, Luffy would never want eternal life, I think he’d see it as cheating and would never accept it
I like the idea that Luffy goes and fights the people we expect, Akainu, Imu, Blackbeard but then he lands of Laugh Tale and Shanks is already there with his crew, he tests Luffy and his crew in a no holds barred battle to see if he is truly ready for the One Piece a fight I believe Shanks may be fighting with killer intent as to not hold back and/or treat Luffy with kids gloves.

mihawk simply has no interest of being a yonko
So big ma and kaido can take Mihawk down? Answer: FUCK NO
Mihawk could be a Yonko. But he still isn’t better than Shanks.
It mostly makes sense due to the fact that after luffy vs shanks, luffy will give back the strawhat
Reminds me of domon kashu vs master asia lol
example ?
I've been saying this is how its gonna end since I started the show and everyone tells me I'm tripping, ig they just don't know how shows work lol
it makes the most sense simply because it would be the most emotional scenario for the viewers, which is sth animes want to trigger the most, emotions, especially oda does that a lot
Great theory
It’s a very long shot, if shanks wanted luffy to die without killing him he wouldn’t save him from the mountaineer and would just let luffy drown and act like he was too late
Would love to see a theory "wrapped up" stating how many theories you had right and how many wrong xD
shanks being the son of Imu is definitely the best one
I heard a theory Shanks gave the wg the last ponyglyph and that’s how he became trusted
Thoughts?
thats wrong. Shanks is not the Son rocks. He belongs to a nobel family.
Too long didnt read
Its been confirmed that roger found him in a box in god valley and that hes a celestial dragon
Shanks has too much authority then plus it still doesnt explain why Shanks suddenly want to get the One Piece

Bad theory.
Last part of Long Ring Long Land arc was dope though. Aokiji's introduction.

but at the chapter where shank were passing by wano he asked his crew that if it is the time to claim one piece so he has interest . how could he be the guardian of one piece if he wanna claim it.
He can be it’s guardian and still want to get it for safe keeping. If it is an island, he can surround that island until someone comes along that he feels could deserve it, then go and get it or find it so he can be sure it’s safe until the fighting ensues.

Like, Roger discovered and ate the fruit just to die, specifically to have it be reborn because he had that fatal illness already?
@@Honor_and_Steel I mean that could also be it, but I was meaning more that he learned of the fruits existence in the past AND how devil fruits are made at laughtale, and because of roger setting an age of adventure and dreams with his death, he in a way "revives" the devil fruit back into the cycle by having so many people wishing for it without even knowing. Would explain why the 5 elders said that it hasn't been awakened in hundreds of years, and why shanks called it a legendary devil fruit if he knew the truth. 10:21, this theory is even better after the latest chapter.

I would love to see a video on all the theories on all the strawhats! Plus it could make for great shorts if you clip each strawhat individually.
Thanks for the great video as always!
13:25. Crazy how the latest chapters in Manga showed that Sabo saw that the throne is not empty.
LOOOOL🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for copying the videos message :D
Shanks is the Rurouni Kenshin of One Piece. Fights for justice and peace to bring balance in the world as the red haired wanderer (pirate) with a sword and scar. If Shanks is evil your basically saying he's been Shishio the entire time which is more like Teach and Rocks persona
@@Tupperware3 50+ now... I came in for your comment
Hear me out:
Shanks is the Protector of the Ds
History in One Piece is written in the end
in the End The Ds will clash and there is not one specific D actually
Every D stands for something else
f.e.
Luffy Dawn
Teach Doom
Law Death
etc. thats what Whitebeard had so much hopes in Teach nonne knows who will be the dawn
Iceberg videos are fun, keeping making more!
The crazy thing about Oda is these could all be possible. One Piece is top tier writing, not just in anime but in non-fiction 👌🏿
Shank being the finale villain is the best theory ever
What if the stawhat is a vivrecard made from a giant joyboy and weaved into a hat?
it was originally thought that one piece would last for 4-5 years according to the directors so comparing the past may not be that significant because most of the future events were not thought nor written when the first part of the series was released so it may all be a coincidence
yeah, maybe the future events were not thought but what if all the future events were made in a way that it connects with the past ones
This iceberg thing is sick can you do it on the show itself?
Haki haki fruit is crazy 💀
One thing I'd like to note is most of the D clan has a scar/tattoo/mark on the left side of their face. Garp, Luffy, Shanks, Dragon....
these make complete sense and i would be surprised if they aren't
Afro Luffy alone was worth the foxy arc 😂
remember that the treasures from god valley came from rocks, shanks could be xebecks son, being rocks D. shanks, basically mixing the two theories
Bro these some good theorys
The haki haki no mi idea can’t be possible due to the fact that we see home swimming when he saved Luffy
Yo the background music is fire
„And now our submarine has reached Tier number 6…“ „reaches tier 5“
I view the Davyback fight as a “filler” just a random stop on their pirate adventure.
A 4-Way Davyback Fight between Luffy, Shanks, Buggy & Blackbeard.
Yoo these videos are great I love them and there are really great theories the next iceberg could maybe be blackbeard ? Keep up the good work
At 3:44 the shanks png you used had the wrong arm on him, nice video though I enjoyed it
Shanks telling Luffy what the fruit is and Luffy then unknowingly projecting his powers as rubber
A haki man cracks me up everytime 🤣🤣🤣
I've been saying it all along. Shanks has been MANIPULATING LUFFY!!!
its incredible how you made a 14 minute video with shanks 2 second screen time
Here is my theory. Shanks saved Luffy only because he ate gomu gomu nika fruit. Shanks has ulterior motives
People of D clan are from another Dimension.
My theory would be that Shanks becomes the Pirate King before Luffy. But of course not seeing the One Piece. He might be the closest to Laugh Tale. And therefore he is declared as the next 'Pirate King'.
3 reasons for this (including my personal bias):
And therefore an interaction between the three Pirate Kings would be amazing.
goated theory
I feel like that fight oda spoke of has to be between shanks Luffy and kid really hoping they don't kill eachother
The Legendary fight between δhanks & Ħawk-ξye
I don't think haki haki no mi theory is valid because shanks can swim!
@Ohara... merry christmas to you too
Man Shanks looks goofy as hell in celestial dragon getup 😂
I mean the hat never got damaged that straw hat just might have powers 👀
He’s the most mysterious character in one piece
