0:25 Backlash! “Hell yeah baby. Hell yea baby.” Hilarious sense of humor! Awesome video. Hope to have a redfish peel drag on me like that someday. Favorite lure is just a DOA shrimp under a popping cork.
Nice job, I love reds! I'm a mix fisherman, I love my salt and fresh water fish! My largest was 42" I use mostly cut-bait. Mullet head or a whole 10" live
Favorite redfish lure: I have a really old, like 1990's old, super spook in bone. I painted red gills on it and it's my go to plug for reds. And my girlfriend has the same spinning set up you do but the falcon is topped with a 2500 sahara.
Which Ascend are you on? I just got a FS12T, very stable and easy to stand and fish in but I have yet to try having both legs over one side, when the water warms up a bit I will try and see just how stable my Ascend is, but I am not a fan of cold water lol
Hey ThresherFishing I was wondering if you had a suggestion on a rod and reel setup for surf fishing? Nothing huge just medium sized really, but a quality setup.
Great videos, man. We've only been in the CC area a few years and are still learning where to go and what to use. We appreciate all the info you provide. Hope to see you out there...
Love your videos man! You got a great personality in them. If I ever make it to Texas you gotta show me some spots. Never been farther west then Alabama
i am relatively new so you may have already made the video im about to suggest, but I would like to see how you setup your stuff when you go shore fishing on your bike and also how you setup your kayak like what stuff you bring and why you bring it
Well done man! I'm expecting a fx 2500 in the post... only fishing rivers for up to 10 pound...you certainly gave the fx1000 a good workout with those reds 🤗🤗 is it wrecked?, what is reds full name.?
Love your videos amigo! A little concerned about hanging your legs over the side...a dude in Hawaii got a fatal shark bite that way recently. Anyway, keep up the fun videos and I hope to run into you fishing one day. Were in Fulton Beach...
gotta love Laguna Madre, been fishing that spot since I was small, more fly fishing now on the oyster bar but still chase those reds there when I don't have clients
I was in corpus easter weekend and some guys on 361 fishing on fb posted a pair of 48" and 54" red monsters. Wish I knew some spots but I only go down like every 2-3 months and have yet to land a crazy big red
Hi I'm Adam from Buffalo n.y I used to live in Austin and fished port Aransas slot. I once caught reds on a rebel jumping minnow for about 3 straight hours. Walk the dog baby! Great vids bud!
Really enjoy the videos. My wife and i are going salt water fishing for the first time tomorrow on lake Pontchartrain. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos! Take care and be safe.
In a way I envy you! But I do like it when you go fishing and catch the Reds & Trouts, love the reel squealing while you fight to get the fish in. Great video!
Great video I love using the little Sahara on trout and reds. More fun to catch them and peel drag. AND the cost is great so if they fail I could buy 10 of them compared to some of the reels people are buying. You got on a great flat that day and catching them on topwater not in lowlight time was impressive
not to be critical, but try holding your rod tip at an angle to the fish and low. he is stronger if u let him pull straight away. angles slow him, turns his head, off balance so to speak.
Nice Red bro!! My brother and I fish for reds off of Charleston S.C. back in the creeks every summer. So many giants out there. We usually use mud minnows, cut bait (typically mullet) or blue crab as bait on a circle hook but I'd love to try catching them on a lure. They fight like hell! Cool video.
don´t you love the sound of drag?
Fishing Channel yes
Yee
no not really
If you dont hear the drag you got a small fish lol
+Apocalypse 47 Or you're using a baitcaster.

@thresherfishing , Might be a stupid question, but I noticed your feet dangling in the water. No sharks?
What kind of line are you using there ThresherFishing? Looks like some Fluoro P Line in green.
That 1000 has really impressed me. I am confident to try my 1000 over my 2500. Cheers.
What’s the difference in the numbers? Is it Size?
@@J_Diz Size, drag, and line capacity.
@@J_Diz main reason for me is weight
Have you ever fished the canal that spills out to oso bay off of spid

I never have any luck with topwater plugs for reds. You're making me want to throw them a little more often.
TrailChaser but we love the way you sight cast with the live bait!!!
TrailChaser Best bait for reds are cut pinfish.
Great videos, man. We've only been in the CC area a few years and are still learning where to go and what to use. We appreciate all the info you provide. Hope to see you out there...

my favorite redfish lure is either a doa shrimp or a gulp shrimp

Love your videos man! You got a great personality in them. If I ever make it to Texas you gotta show me some spots. Never been farther west then Alabama

what lb test did you use to haul him in? i got a nasci just the other day.
Have you had any issues with that rod? I just bought one and can't find many reviews....
You have proven that we don’t need the biggest fishing gear. We just need to get out there and gain the experience. 👍🏾🙏🏽
Cool video buddy. Hey what braid 8lb and where in US are you?
Lol..."...respect the hell outta you dude...". Very nice video and excellent day of fishing!
The pinfish was getting the hell out of the red fish's way. I have seen an explosion of bait fish just before a big fish hits my top water.
what paddle is that? just bought a kayak and i need to purchase a nice paddle. @thresherfishing
What's up buddy!! What combo are you using? The reel looks like a diawa, just curious of the rod. Please let me know
shimano sahara on 7' falcon coastal xg med
i am relatively new so you may have already made the video im about to suggest, but I would like to see how you setup your stuff when you go shore fishing on your bike and also how you setup your kayak like what stuff you bring and why you bring it
Is that an older curado? E series?
What kind and what strength of line are you using here?
10lb braid.
Love your "Honey Badger don't care" commentary, keep up the great work!
My favorite EVERYTHING lure is chartreuse maribou 1/4 oz . Redfish get all sorts of pissed at that color and action. Especially around bridge pylons.
Well done man! I'm expecting a fx 2500 in the post... only fishing rivers for up to 10 pound...you certainly gave the fx1000 a good workout with those reds 🤗🤗 is it wrecked?, what is reds full name.?
Have you ever tried any pier fishin?
That's awesome.
I would be freaked out a little letting my feet dangle over the edge like that. But I guess there is nothing to worry about.
Not for the weak
What kind of shoes are u wearing and where can I buy them?
are you using the shimano Nasci ?
Where can I buy one of the fish holder grippers that you are using?
amzn.to/2oVY0cv or at most sporting goods stores near the coast. They're called fish grips.

Nice fish but couldn't help but notice how stable your kayak is. That boat is incredible.
I have always been partial to a Kotee jig in gold with a red head for bottom fishing, and a gold spoon for others.
California hole in corpus Christie. Rock it buddy. Love your videos!
Love your videos amigo! A little concerned about hanging your legs over the side...a dude in Hawaii got a fatal shark bite that way recently. Anyway, keep up the fun videos and I hope to run into you fishing one day. Were in Fulton Beach...

How much line fit on the 1000 size?
Nice Red bro!! My brother and I fish for reds off of Charleston S.C. back in the creeks every summer. So many giants out there. We usually use mud minnows, cut bait (typically mullet) or blue crab as bait on a circle hook but I'd love to try catching them on a lure. They fight like hell! Cool video.
