I'm about 6 years older than you and was fortunate to watch those 90s teams led by Ewing as a young kid. The Knicks would've won back in the 90s if it weren't for the Chicago Bulls. I love Ewing and Melo, but Brunson taking that pay cut has me drinking the 'Nova kool-aid. This team is special and we've seen it the past couple of years. I don't think the Knicks are done, but Leon Rose is smart enough that he won't make a move out of desperation. He's only going to make a move that objectively upgrades the current roster. If nobody wants to make a trade, he might just re-sign Achiuwa and call it a day. Maybe he pulls off another big trade.
